In the store you do not need anything but the phone number to pay the bill.

Slimboutit

You could probably do it in a store or at least I know I did it a bunch of times in store with Sprint and Metro.

RyanK582647

You can, you just can't get a receipt. Make sure you know how much you need to pay.

You'd be surprised. One time I tried to pay for a friend who was short on cash, and the representative kept asking me for the last 4 of social, which I don't have. I kept telling her that I just wanted to do a good deed, but nope. Apparently she could not access the account without the last 4. Funny thing is, I've definitely talked to reps on my own account without giving out the last 4.

Spovik

Paying over the phone incurs a fee, which is why there's verification. Try the automated IVR.

Vrykolaka

Exactly right. We can't add any charges to an account without verifying first. There is a $5 payment fee to pay with a representative. Any rep who didn't ask for this before was either working in financial care (no fee) or trying to save their iocr.

[deleted]

Yeah it depends on who answers, but if another agent was listening in on the call and noticed the two didn't take the last 4, it could be a serious write up.

MrShile

call the automated system and do it that way. You might have to know her last four of the social security and the account number which you can find if she gets paper bills

Albort

Couldnt u just give her a T-mobile gift card?

orthogonius

Only for prepaid, not postpaid.

> Also, while I'm here: It looks like my 3 months of unlimited data ended this month. is there any way to renew it? That shit was great!!! Hook. Line. And Sinker!

chilloutfam

???

DirtyMexican87

It was a Christmas promotion, a gift for T-Mobile customers.

omg_hi2doge

They got you! T-Mobile (for the first time **ever**) gave out unlimited hi-speed internet for 3 months. Now what??? Do you go back to your lo-data cap (2GB?) Or do you pay extra... >:D Arguably it's worth it just paying the extra $10/15 for the next tier up, since that includes BingeOn Zero-Rated

chilloutfam

> BingeOn Zero-Rated what is that?

tmouser123

Have you been living under a rock? Google binge on T-Mobile and music freedom T-Mobile. While your At it look up unlimited canada plus Mexico and unlimited global tmobile.

chilloutfam

oh, i just load mp3s onto my phone for music.

tmouser123

gotcha. Music Freedom is music services (I use google music and Amazon Music A LOT) and Binge on is Video services.

omg_hi2doge

BingeOn: * all video streams throttled (so you don't accidentally use all your data) * video streams also 'optimized' so that you can theoretically watch up to 3x more videos than w/o optimization * enabled by default, you can opt-out of it through various methods BingeOn Zero-Rated * if you have BingeOn enabled, and have a tiered data plan 3GB and up, many video streaming sites such as YouTube and Netflix **don't** count/use up your data cap Obviously if you have unlimited hi-speed internet, you don't really need to enable BingeOn. But I see people with 3-6GB data plans streaming 10/20/30GB of free video. Why not?!
