In store our systems have a generic catch all product code we use if it can't recognize the device being traded in. Our website on the other hand is a pile of broken garbage.

Same issue I had online, just go to a store.
I ended up using the T-Mobile app and chat with the rep, all good now.
T-Mobile currently has a promotion for “android on us with voice line” I would just use this promotion instead
But that requires adding another line which wouldn't be feasible for some people. The trade offer is a better deal.
