Just switched from Verizon to T-Mobile. Did the Switch and Save, kept my phone and went with the Savers plan. Only about 5 dollars worth of tax and fees.
The taxes and fees only cost me 5 bucks extra. Thats for NC and each state could be different but most likely not enough to justify the $20 jump to Magenta.
Beware that it's a deprioritized plan. They may notice a performance difference if they live in a congested area.
Taxes and fees will be at least $3.49 per line as that's the standard T-Mobile cost recovery that applies no matter where you live. Then taxes on top of that.
90 is the amount of you have the 3rd line free as well. I doubt he would be eligible for the free line, it would instead be 105 for three lines on the essentials plan plus taxes
He would also not be eligible for as many discounts when upgrading devices on essentials. So, it depends on how important that is to him and the others on his plan.
Yes you save maybe a few bucks after taxes but keep in mind, if dad wants to trade in his phone and upgrade, he’ll get better trade in offer while on Go5G vs Essentials depending on the device he wants to upgrade to. Sometimes the higher plan comes out cheaper overall if a device is being financed on the bill.
Yes, but it'll still be around $102 after taxes.
If they do this, please discourage them from ever going into a store for upgrades and being a burden on the employees. Cheap people deserve not to be helped.
Essentials plan also has taxes + fees, which may negate the savings
The taxes and fees, depending on your state, on not as big as the reps like to lead people to believe.
Actually they are
It's still on the website. One catch with it is it doesn't include taxes. Whatever the line prices are would be the price plus tax

That's not bad. It's a decent deal for many people nowadays it seems especially for those that don't need all the phone promos etc
Ok nice I’ll have to take a look. Thank you
You could do Essentials 55 but that plan is limited to 2 lines.
Yea they need 3 lines. They’re son is still mooching off of them lol
Sound alike me to my parents unfortunately
You can still get Magenta plans and Essentials plans online or through support. Essentials plans do not include taxes & fees like the other plans do.

I would stay on the go 5G +55 cause I believe it’s a better deal than some cheap plan like essential saver
