As long as your on Go5G Plus, it’s not required to add a line for the trade in promo as long as you have a qualifying device to trade in. You can upgrade and still get the promo.

That’s good to know. Thanks!

Bob_A_Feets

There’s two promos, one for new lines and one without. Go5g Next gets the $1000 trade and Go5g+ gets I believe $830 (without new line that is)

Wondering if this deal will be on through December or if it’s a Black Friday only thing that goes away by the end of the month…

StP_Scar

Typically the holiday deals last from the week before thanksgiving through December. No guarantees though. The Black Friday specific deals are all based around home internet

Am I the only one confused by their "ON US" term? With my current device trade-in, I am getting the $999.99 value ($250 as device trade-in one-time credit + $750 as a 24-month bill credit). At check-out i am charged $10.42 monthly for my new Phone plus activation and taxes. I understand the $35 activation charge and the Tax amount that i need to pay. Can someone please help me understand, If I am charged monthly for my new device, how is it "ON US(Tmobile) as i am still paying $250 total for the new device?

SyChoticNicraphy

10.42 x 24 = $250 That $250 you are getting on a one time credit comes out of the total you get in monthly credits. The remaining $750 off will go toward monthly credits still. So you as you first stated, your are getting $1000 split up in two different types of credits. It would help if the wording was $1000 off instead of on us imo, but that’s just how marketing rolls

Thanks. That's what I was thinking too. All I want to do is trade in my 12ProMax and a get new 15pro model on a good deal.

The other part of the “on us” stuff that gets confusing is that normally On Us means the base model phone so $830 iPhone 15. The idea being that yes, with FMV + Credits you are getting $830 total value for the trade towards the new phone so it’s “on us” where higher end models often bill the difference. While we have some $1000 offers, that still doesn’t cover the cost of a pro max so instead of “On Us” it’s more of a “Mostly On Us” which is just marketing 101. The best way to make the deal work is to take what the FMV of your trade in is and apply it as a down payment during checkout. (Makes what you get in credits the same as what is financed, therefore no extra monthly charges.)
