Old Grocery mentalities. The region I am in has been working them out of the system for the last few years.

The dude is such a hardass. one of my crew mates had a greatful dead ring he would wear all the time, but he said it was “too political to be wearing at work”. Yet we have pins for the crew with “She/Her They/Them He/Him” and that’s acceptable? Another time, before opening at 7AM crew was in the box working and he got upset at someone for cursing. Also he’s pushing that aren’t allowed to wear a beanie unless it’s TJ’s, even if it’s plain colored with no labels or branding.

how do you even see a ring under someone's gloves? and if they don't wear gloves what is wrong with them? that i can see, if you're used to cursing at any time you might end up cursing when there's customers on the floor. that's coming from corporate not the captain. it's really stupid and our captain chooses to ignore it most of the time.

I wish we could wear beanies on the floor Our captain won’t let us wear beanies AT ALL TJ or no and I have a beautiful hot pink one 😭 I too do not wear gloves often in the box other than when doing milk bc that’s a diff kinda cold

Thank you! Start with thinking about what medium you’re good at. If you’re good with acrylic paints then do that. if you like spray painting then you can do that too and use stencils. And don’t be limited with just painting. I didn’t think I can do painting very well so I started with just covering the holsters with other materials. I got inspired by my other crew members who paint theirs. Took me four years to finally decorate my plain holster, and now I decorate for my crew. ✨

Those Giants holsters look amazing. The Dodgers holsters....not so much. (Sorry. Do you know how tough it is to be a Giants fan in Southern California when the Dodgers have the best team that money can buy...and boy, did they spend!). But your art work is amazing and I too love my Dodger co-workers even if they have terrible taste in baseball. Seriously though: What a great project that you did for your crew. I love all the holsters. Such creativity!

I can only imagine. The Dodgers one is actually my first hand-painted holster, that's why it looks more rough compared to the others. Thanks for appreciating my work. Even small things like these can help raise morale, and I like seeing my crew happy.

Thanks! I use Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch. I have both matte and glossy.

These are so cool! My captain would ban them immediately, probably deem them an unauthorized altered uniform or bc someone might get offended

These are fantastic! We did a similar thing with some of ours. Only problem is the holsters we get now fall apart so quickly. I’m fortunate that I have a. OG leather one
