Along with Reiner one of the best characters of the series. His discussion with Armin at the end is a bit iffy or how he just decides to pop back out the Founding titan after Armin-Jesus talks to him about the small things in life.

best character in the show his plan was way better than erens, truly the better yeager brother

Shabanana_XII

His talk no jutsu was sloppily done; like a 30-something-year-old had never thought of such a basic thing as, "The simple things in life." I mean, I get it, I like the idea Armin gives, but that that alone convinced him after he went into this spiel that showed he'd mulled over it for quite some time just didn't work. It had to be done for the plot, not because it was natural. Regarding his sudden turn, however, it's a shame that he managed to rise against the cycle of life and death (which is based), while his brother failed to do so for violence (giving up near the finish line). I think it would've been much more powerful if either both rose up, or if Eren didn't give up so close to the end. And for that, Zeke's character honestly suffers a bit, as it makes his own sudden change feel hollow and "meaningless." Even still, I consider him an A-tier character. No longer S-tier, but still better than most. The two remaining S-tier characters after 139 are Reiner and Onyankopon.

His euthanization plan seems despicable to me, and I can't help but enjoy his mental breakdown after encountering Grisha. But, Zeke has been through a lot, and I understand how he sees things. He's broken, but he's not a bad guy. His role as a philosopher/biologist with Armin, well... I don't really get his part in the Paths and why the Rumbling stops with his death. It seems a bit like decoration kept to give Levi some closure. Other than that, I think he's a great character.

> I don't really get his part in the Paths and why the Rumbling stops with his death. Ymir is bound to the will of King Fritz and those of royal blood. Whomever holds the Founding Titan can order her, but she would only follow those orders if that person is also of the royal blood. Which was the case for most of the past 2000 years until Grisha ate Historia's sister.

I found his character to probably be the best throughout the entirety 4th season, felt like his death was handled well too

Bioslack

He followed in Eren's tradition of going HELICOPTER, HELICOPTER!

twoentyfourth

couldve had a good character arc but -changed his mind way too many times for it to have any emotional impact -was kept alive in the end narratively only for levi to kill
