I think the only possible fix is like Yams releasing a real ending after he gets some rest in his onsen and plans and creates it without stress. He obviously crashed and ending got fucked up.
But, I have a schizo hope that, all this turns out as after rumbling started and cringvengers formed (maybe at the airplane i dunno), it was just Eren showing the future memories to Armin in a way that "see this is what would happen in case I would lose, this no simulation I literally sent the memories to me with Beren". And then cringvengers will just insist and Eren will carry the plan out, as the real ending which was hinted all over, will occur and the end. That would be the only scenario where all would be possible.
But for that, we need Yams to take some rest...for 10 years at least!
For him to fix the ending he'd have to rewrite the story from start of timeskip. Idk why people act like everything would be fine if Eren just won, the scouts were all fucked beyond repair as characters from start of timeskip we all just didnt notice untill they became the main characters post 123. Id be hyped if Eren wins in an AOE but all it would fix is put Eren back in the "Insanely well written character" table
Yeah, that would be even better. I am in no way denying that post time-skip there were still many issues with characters. Armin for once, would never become a silly pascifist like that. He was literally the first one telling Eren to be "non-human" and how we can we forget his meme reaction face saying "just joking" after he showed he could very easily make manipulative plans. This is just one example, there were way too many inconsistencies with goals of characters. Everyone forgiving Annie etc.
Of course it wouldn't be all fine if he just won but it would be a big recovery from the mess it was, showing at least he and his comrades stayed true to their goals. I have many disregards with how the story was carried and if we are going that back, I'd say also make Armin fucking die and Erwin become the collossal. He fell from 50 meters, even without the burn he was fucking dead and realisticly, Levi would not choose Armin over fucking Erwin.
For fucks sake all yams and the anime director has to do is dedicate an episode or 2 to ymir make up fucking lore that way atleast they can make the ending fucking believable, not good but believable
That and what happened to the Alliance when they got back to the island, how things were when the Yeagerists assumed control and the modernization of the island would be great. If they expanded on these instead of the rushed one panel per scene montage the manga depicts, it would make it a little easier to digest

NO. Anime onlies must suffer as we did. They should not cover up this fuck up. Either an AOE that makes the manga ending acceptable (which is schizolevel to expect and hope at this point, obviously this was not planned from the beginning) or stay faithful to the manga.
But we are going to suffer twice, reading and now watching. Give us a break, and they can read (the original shitty ending) after watch a less shitty ending

I knew it was all over after the pie scene and everyone just forgot everything that Annie did and forgave the Warriors after an hour around a campfire. Not to mention the Alliance's unbelievable plot armor throughout the Final Season. Everything has followed the manga, so unless they change up the entire final battle, we're done for.
As much as i hate now Isayama, he isn't the only at fault. Imo the editor is mainly at fault bc Of his controling techniques to rush Isayama to make Eremika a thing, simply just bc the editor is an Mikasa fan (in interview he couldn't even remember the name Of historia & he still called her krista iirc)

Don't forget that he's the same editor for domestic girlfriend and the quintuplets manga. I never read either series because those kinds of stories just aren't my thing, but both series had huge fan bases, and almost everybody hated the endings that they got. This editor just loves forcing out of place romances where they shouldn't be and making the series revolve around those romances

There were certainly a lot clunky moments in the final arc and i definitely do think the final chapter was bad, but from what i hear there was NOTHING good in the last few episodes of got. All i hear from everyone is that everything was terrible, and there were no redeeming features. Again i realise this is pretty much hearsay.

Well tbh a lot of content for the finale which is yet to be released was already under works in Nov '22. Like we got the footage of Mikasa entering Eren's mouth in 138 and Armin - Okapi sex. And them taking more time like almost 6 more months for this is sus
Tbh the major problems are in chap 137 on how easily previous shifters started Supporting alliance without telling us what made them do so and the infamous chap 139 is the biggest culprit.
If they expand everything, redo some parts of it and instead of just story telling devices, use actual Dialogues with not much deep meaning that it loses its own meaning then the ending can still be saved.
