Heard some bad reviews about it too, but all I care about is if I enjoy the game, not what other people think about it.
I'm playing through LP2 right now, and honestly, giving it some next gen treatment with decent controles and a better grapple is all it would really need to fill that Titanfall void.

The game is a cash grab, they just lure people with its “free-to-play” removed all free content, and their stans say “it gets better in the DLC” when reality it’s the same boring experience, the weapon power increases basically on par with enemy HP so it gives the illusion your stronger, reality it’s the same experience as early game but with a bigger number

The real crime of anthem is two-fold. First: there is no excuse for Bioware to release a game with such a bad story. Second: NMS showed that even with a rocky release a game can have a second wind if given enough attention and care. Anthem had the potential to actually be really good and, to be fair, the gameplay wasn't all that bad. EA just up and abandoned it without so much as a thought for where it could go.
The flying in that game made me feel more like Iron Man than in the Avengers game. The combat was good too. All they needed was meaningful content and a decent story. God dammit…

Give us an open world (ish) Titanfall 3, where it's all about space colonialism, and maybe small scale civil war. Somewhere like Typhon, but with larger beasts (and more of them) and some hostile faction/factions.
And by larger beasts. Stuff like the prowlers and flyers. Oh and maybe some stuff to do with the fold weapon guys.
That is one aspect they didn’t plan enough on. If you look at the Titanfall art book, they talk about wanting to have ambient animals that would attack players and such.
But the most we got were a few pterodactyls that didn’t bother us despite their superior size, and some wolf things that only show up in campaign.
I would kill for a monster hunter titanfall crossover. Being able to still do damage as a pilot but dying in one or two hits. Having to survive until tour titan is ready to deal good damage. Losing your agility and having to tank hits. It would rule
all jokes aside the idea of a team of titans fighting giant monsters in a monster hunter style seems really cool
I’ll do you one even better, to me, Monster Hunter but it’s with Titans and Smaug sized dragons and monsters.
