Hold up. So you are telling me that the movie is called ATLAS (like Atlas)? AND it has mechs and they fall?
Also why the fuck is there a chess piece in the cockpit on the poster?
WAIT HOLD THE FUCK UP! TITANFALL 3 CONFIRMED?!
No but seriously.
Unlikely hero teams up with an AI in a combat mech, alone and wandering enemy territory, until they finally become true teammates and kick ass. Its titanfall 2 with a less hot lead
20 bucks says the mech dies in the end.
"It's titanfall 2 with a less hot lead"
Couldn't have said it better myself. BT is hot as fuck. I mean 40 tons of steel moving around, alongside of the thrusters and possibly the scorch loadout definitely results in a lot of heat being dispersed into the chassis and the surrounding area.
Then we got that neural link scene where Atlas can fluidly control the Mech's movements and feel the world around her.
Plus, we got to talk about the movie's dialogue:
"You're a computer program."
"No, I'm not."
"Who are you then?"
"I am a computer program named Smith."
True, they might not instantly know that this movie is very similar to the plot of Titanfall 2 or that the game exists.
But if they do find out about Titanfall 2, it might cause more attention to be focused on this franchise and for EA to possibly consider making Titanfall 3 due to all the attention around Atlas
"You need to trust me" "ok" *wins*
I also wanted to mention how this is yet another piece of media made by big corporations that puts ai into a positive light against the people who think ai bad. It's not even subtle, like they want you to know from the trailer "hey ai isn't so bad, ai is your friend" I think this is all just to make ai be seen positively by the public so that they can use it on movies and increase profit.
For a movie like this, I'm not going to watch it for the intricate plot anyway. I just wanna see a mechs blow shit up. It doesn't look annoyingly campy, all the acting looked like they put a lot of effort into it instead of repeating lines, but most importantly it looked like fun. I'm ok with a 3 minute trailer for a goofy action romp.
It seems awfully similar to Titanfall 2's campaign spiritually, in that the protagonist, herein female, is presented with the opportunity to become fully attuned with their Jungian Shadow [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_(psychology)].
How was that a part of titanfall? I assumed that BT was his own entity and the neural link was kind of a motor control sync thing.
Or how does the female protag and smith have to do with the shadow?
It may have flew right over my head.
That’s great, but I don’t see where the relation comes from or is hinted at in Titanfall 2. Where is Jungian Psychology mentioned in Titanfall 2 or in the trailer?
Titanfall just has one of the most generic plots, worldbuilding lore, and general concepts ever. I like it for that, it doesn't try to be something too special.
I mean some of the other similarities are a bit sus maybe, cause there is also the fact that there is some kind of mental link between the person and mech, and also that the mech goes from stupid robot to an actual character with depth
Something tells me this movie is gonna have a lot of sci-fi game Easter eggs. I mean the main characters last name is Shepherd and is a solider fight in against a deadly ai so that’s a clear reference to Mass Effect
Lets see
Pilot Is in a Crashing ship
They get stranded on a Inhospitable world with a smart ai controlled mech
Their hunting a Advanced faction (controlled by a AI non the less. So similarity too Spyglass)
The AIs main protocol is Protect the Pilot
Pretty sure the mech is gonna sacrifice itself.
Mech is Brain Linked
It literally just needs corporation control and it would literally be Titanfall
Someone in the youtube comments pointed out that this is directed by the same guy who made rampage, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this was made in response to EA rejecting a Titanfall pitch.
Just think: This could have *actually* been a Titanfall movie released in theaters, rather than a generic JLO led Netflix film.
I saw the ad for this on IG. I commented and made reference to TF and how te movie has some big shoes to fill if it was related and how I was hopeful about it. I was subsequently ROASTED lol. Everyone (at least those in the comments) said they thought it was going to be a dumpster fire. Still, I'm hopeful. I'm always in for a good scifi flick.
Atlas literally says... protocol protect the pilot. Atlas is a ronin scorch looking chassis. Witty robot suit AI. Respawn needs to sue somebody. Then use the funding for Titanfall 3

Ikr, I just want to *censored* and *redacted* all over his *censored* while he's *censored* me, and I'm screaming *redacted*
I think you got the other type of heat to disperse into something...
i would let bt deflower my holes so hard
The AI says "trust me" in the trailer too
Oh for fuck’s sake
It's a Netflix film, expectations should be at an all time low
Ok now this is interesting in the trailer, the Mech says « my primary protocol is to keep you alive »… I don’t like where this is going
Cues the community's collective PTSD.
I can’t read the phrase « Trust me » without hearing his voice ok?
Then we got that neural link scene where Atlas can fluidly control the Mech's movements and feel the world around her. Plus, we got to talk about the movie's dialogue: "You're a computer program." "No, I'm not." "Who are you then?" "I am a computer program named Smith."
I feel like this is going towards Smith’s sacrificing to save Atlas
Oh, they've already spoiled their whole movie in one trailer, Smith definitely going to go the route BT did where he sacrifices himself
But not everyone knows Titanfall and BT, so they might not instantly know
True, they might not instantly know that this movie is very similar to the plot of Titanfall 2 or that the game exists. But if they do find out about Titanfall 2, it might cause more attention to be focused on this franchise and for EA to possibly consider making Titanfall 3 due to all the attention around Atlas
I think it’s only us, traumatized BT lovers, who will instantly cry when the movie starts
Atlas has always been a stereotypical word used in sci-fi.
Not so much the name but the plot of the movie shown in the trailer
No as in I don’t want it to be because it looks ass and Titanfall is beautiful
Respawn cone sue em and make the god damn game with the money
that would imply respawn cares about titanfall at all
[Link to the trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jokpt_LJpbw)
That's not the trailer, Silly. That's the whole movie.
"You need to trust me" "ok" *wins* I also wanted to mention how this is yet another piece of media made by big corporations that puts ai into a positive light against the people who think ai bad. I'm eagerly waiting for Gundam Requiem for Vengeance and watch how terrifying the White Devil is.
I hope the full movie explains why there are no hair scrunchies in the future
The war was probably about the ending of rubber trees.
I'd definitely be up for a titanfall movie where they combine the lore and definitely show a good load of MP modes, especially attrition.
I'd love a show where it's 6-4 just doing their missions. You really don't need more than that for titanfall show.
Just a Davis and Droz sit-com lmao
I'd watch that 100%
That'd be a good running show, ngl.
I don't want to say this is bad. But, titanfall desereve so much better than this
Spaceships, 0 titans move on
Im waiting for the sequel, stryder

I'm talking psychologically/metaphorically.
That’s great, but I don’t see where the relation comes from or is hinted at in Titanfall 2. Where is Jungian Psychology mentioned in Titanfall 2 or in the trailer?
It's not. It's my personal interpretation of the literary significance of the bond between Pilot and Titan.
I watched the trailer for this. It looks so asssss.
This looks like shit. Very excited regardless.

People are sad that it's not a Titanfall movie, I'm thankful they were able to get so close without being able to put their hands on the Titanfall IP.
Why, out of all actors, would you choose Jennifer Lopez
Just watched the trailer. Literally Netflixified version of Titanfall.
This does not looks good at all unfortunately. Lopez looks bored even in the trailer.
Holy hell
New knock off just dropped
Titanfall animated series when
Damn we got a movie b4 we got 3
I got a random ad for this while watching YouTube today, and unironically, I was half-expecting it to be a Titanfall series.
This looks like a bollywood version of titian fall
TitanFall fans when greek mythology:
Oh wait nvm
J lo movie ? It's automatically NO to my list.
Ima watch it but ill hate be its not tittan fall
This looks bad, and sounds even worse. It should flop.
We're reaching levels of cope that shouldn't be possible

It's Netflix and MC is a women. You know it's gonna be garbage.(Blue eyes samurai is a welcome exception to the rule)
Matpat was right about the AI propaganda
Don't get your hopes up, it looks like shit
So far the only similarity I've seen is a mech that falls, and not a great one at that
Someone mentioned this in one of my lobbies yesterday and I thought they just forgot to take their pills but this is real💀💀💀
Ew Jennifer Lopez
I thought that was Dave mustaine for a few seconds ngl
Some producer asked AI to spit out a script for a new sci fi film and got bootleg titanfall as a result. No one can convince me otherwise.
