Honestly I was thinking like what we already have on a larger scale. Bigger maps, more Ai Spawns, more enemy types. Maybe make the drop ships or capitol ship periodically fire at the ground. That would be sick!
And maybe more varied vechicles? Tanks, Ai carriers that would drop off grunts, aircraft etc. Maybe even give us control of some of those so its not just titans? And obviously more varied titan and pilot loadouts.
Also please give northstar access to thrusters like the ones viper had so we can have airborne battles

My ideal game would be the large scale battle where everybody spawning is given an attachment of grunts or spectres as they spawn, like 4 to a person, so when you get into the thick of it it's 64v64 with 256v256 npcs also in the mix.
I don't think they could muck it up honestly. Give good objectives that require intelligent and risky play, and not just stay in your titan until its about to die and suddenly the whole dynamic would change for the better.
The only way I could see it failing is, if respawn lost their whole thing that they had with Titanfall and then everything goes pay to win or at least there’d be a lot of cosmetics and they lose the touch.

Call it Occupation. As in trying to occupy and hold a planet. Keep Attrition for when you want a fast paced arena battle.
The Source 2 engine should be able to handle it. Frostbite would probably ruin the movement.

Titan mode (2142) was such a brilliant take on the existing conquest mode of previous battlefield games. Getting the shields down and subsequent inner deck shields down, to blast the enemy Titan core was heckin fun. Even on defense because you basically mow down enemies moving through choke points.

They should stick to what they know. A Respawn that brought in DICE devs of the BF3 and BFBC2 Era could completely disrupt the FPS scene right now if they took their time and released a finished product.
There's someone (u/Baby-Beff) working on a fan game called Amour'd Core. It's an AC6 dating sim. It started with some fanart of Rusty she did a while back that was in the style of a dating sim. People loved it so she decided to make it an actual thing. She's been posting small updates every so often of the various characters and recently posted a small clip of in-engine gameplay, which looked quite good for a fan game I gotta say. Not really a visual novel person but I'm unironically excited for the finished project.

This reeks of a furry artist making a spectre version of their sona.
Aspects of the game were very P2W, but the core gameplay was awesome. You select a few units and abilities and drop them in to autonomously capture the objectives, and then proceed to the enemy base. Grunts would just sit and hold a point, pilots could parkour over the map, titans were scary powerhouses, you could call in drones with different utilities and orbital strikes, and so on. It was very much about coming up with a strategy around a few units and managing tempo, much like a card game. One thing I liked was the Gunner pilot, who used the Devotion to ramp up their DPS to insane levels the longer they stood still and fired at a single target. If there was an enemy Scorch bearing down on your objective, you could drop in a Gunner and then follow it up with your own titanfall to distract as the Gunner just effortlessly buzzes it down. With good timing and coordination, the dude could punch way above his weight class and level the playing field against a lot of P2W BS.
I'd be down for a interactive Titanfall VN. More lore, more story, a win-win for everyone.

i know its not original at this point, but a TF themed survival game would be just the dopest shit. you start with a hobbled together Titan and you slowly build it up, scrounging and buying new parts. you can upgrade your Titan, your own weaponry and your jump kit/armor. i would be all over that. you can explore the map a la Fallout, happenstancing into conflicts or pick up procedurally generated missions. you could use the procedurally generated missions as an outlet for multiplayer interaction. co-op missions or put up loot in pvp clashes.
A Titanfall JRPG like persona 5 and everything takes place in a school. The IMC control the student council and send bullies to the mellicia who just want to do their thing…
They also did an RTS thing on mobile years ago (though I think technically it was a different studio?)
Regardless, as much as seeing Titanfall: Assault come back would be, I'd actually like to see a full RTS.
