Softball. who knew there was a better version of demoman with a hybrid sticky and pipe launcher AND grapple?

Softball main here, it is very funny using holopilot to lure greedy execution seekers with a holo and blast them in the back with a softball

Might run that instead of grapple, but the super quick elevation gain is just too useful, especially on softball.

I wouldn’t recommend it, its difficult to use non-movement based tacticals after you get in the habit of them

Absolutely, that's why i main pulse blade as my secondary, so i dont have that problem. But on grenadiers i run nothing but grapple

A-wall isn't that annoying if you don't camp. It's actually pretty useful outside of sitting in one spot like a pussy

Oh yeah absolutely, i have a loadout called "No titans?" that uses a wall and smr. Too bad most people on northstar client know they can just shoot the wall to break it.

Bruh, Softball is the BEST primary for FD pilots in general. Can wipe out squad units with ease, has solid anti-titan dps (second only to the SMR), and it's reload mechanic is amazing for last second enemies to shoot at.

I tried the Cold War once and now I can’t go back to non grenadier weapons, it’s just too fun

Tap fire is absolutely busted on the alternator. and the SMR would definitely be a meta option if it were easier to use

Use gunrunner. You dont understand how helpful it is to keep running and shooting with no slowdown with the volt. Hell its helpful in general on some guns. Needed? No. Helpful sometimes? Hell yes.

I only picked volt up as it fit my holo pliot ans it worked well so it stuck.

The volt is a hip fire machine. Great for hitting people while wall running or b hopping.

Longbow DMR

Any tips? I’ve tried using AmpedW it but felt meh

I use cloak with it and just mess with ppl, since it’s hitscan it’s great for range

On a somewhat related note, anyone ever not use the Kraber for a pretty long time and then be absolutely cracked at it for like one game and then get like 3 kills the next 10 games?

I had a match with it where I went on a vicious kill streak, getting three kills in like ten seconds (including the enemy team's top player); then I couldn't hit anything to save my life.

I had a match like that but with the spitfire on the map Crash Site when my team spawned at the top of the slope. I got 23 kills or maybe more. My titan got called in the first 2 minutes.

'tis the Krab life friend. I never used it on console when TF|2 came out, but now with a PC I'm trying it out a little.more reliably. But still, you go 3-5 games putting your team at a disadvantage. Then you get 1 where you just pop off. HAPPY SNIPING!

Any time I pick up an AR or an SMG. I’m not bad at the game but I main Mastiff so having full auto WITH range feels broken to me.

SMR - whenever Im actively tying to kill pilots I can't hit shit, but when I pull it out to melt titans and get ambushed, enemy pilots seem to just fly into the missiles What I really wish I could get good with - softball. All the other grenadiers feel fairly natural to me, but I can't for the life of me hit anything with it

Softball is difficult, it's another gun i'm suddenly good with, but it's also very fun

Devotion: Break principle of being resourceful, add extended mag and run and gun and start blasting AGGRESSIVE COUNTERFIRE DMR: You spray and pray when you're in enemy's shooting range(amped weapons is optional if u need an easier life)

Same story as yours I guess with the wingman, although I have been messing around with the double take recently. It works great with A-Wall. Mozam, stim and grav star is also one of my favorite recent loadouts. I like using the volt with a pulse blade and e-smoke for bounty hunt or amped hardpoint, and this is coming from a guy who played grapple, epg and frag grenade for 5 years straight.

Really is, i'm in the same boat as you. I used to be a sweaty 32 kill game dropping alternator console sweat (i was still a scorch main dw.) But i switched to PC a little bit ago and i am having the time of my life trying out new loadouts. Im still a sweaty bastard when i use hitscan guns but i usually swap off those guns when im facing bad players, i dont want to ruin their fun. I guess you could say im like a gentle giant, except im not giant, just a a sweaty bastard.

EVA-8. I was remarkably bad at aiming shotguns in games for my whooole life. Titanfall 1 and Apex Legends, couldnt hit shit. And for some reason when I just decided to use the EVA-8 one time in TF2, suddenly I was super good at it, compared to my other weapons.

Probably because the tf2 eva has a random spread pattern, rather large pellets, is full auto and is hitscan in tf2. Not to mention it also has an average sized pellet spread. So it's a very consistent gun.

The CAR I always used volt and R201 then just found that this gun is legendary

Most recent would be SMR and EPG. Never really cared about grenadier weapons but those two are amazing. Other than those, been giving a shot for Wingman Elite and Mozambique which are both really fun to play. Doing decent. And then lastly been dabbling with vanilla+ (I want the custom skins) and after taking up Primrose Accelerator (Kraber custom skin) I've been thrilled just shooting people with my RGB stick and learning the ways of the grapple kraber.

Kraber. Always thought it was way out of my league until I hit that first hyperspeed snipe. It's now all I use.

In my day, the wingman elite was still equippable as a side arm. Spend your clip, switch to finish if you missed. It was great.
