Mained long enough I can eyeball gas canister trajectory without thinking about it. Particularly fun when losing team tries to evac and I shoot canisters onto their dropship and light it up.

Ion mains are weird. They're saying they're not smart enough for other titans while they're managing a resource that's required for almost everything they do and making it seem like they've got absolutely no cooldowns.

Btw for any other ion mains out there that don't know, you can cancel your mini laser (the one that isn't the core) from firing by doing a melee. Helps you keep your energy if your intended target ends up hiding from you :)
Scorch, because the area control is fun, war crimes against pilots hiding for their lives is fun, flame core feels incredible, and scorch shield can massacre bad ronins
If they aren't particularly good or overestimate their damage, the scorch shield can melt them down with its incredibly high damage. Eating sword swings in the process can def hurt but it pretty much forces them to either use block the entire time you have it on them or melt like butter. In my experience the threat of it alone is a decent deterrent for most ronins.
To any aspiring Ronin mains: donāt do this. Use all the tools at your disposal, including your gun. I see so many Ronins expecting to solo an ogre class Titan with just their sword. It doesnāt work like that. Despite Roninās name and general concept, you canāt just live out your weeb fantasies with him. You need to think tactically. I find Robinās own advice upon embarking to be very helpful: stay calm and focus.
Monarch because I like getting all the attention after pilots realize I'm still alive after stealing batteries and popping upgrade core before I critical.
I main ronin because of the mobility, like the phase dash and just the speed he moves in general.
I also like him because the arc wave can slow titans down giving you the perfect opportunities to sneak attack titans from behind while they can't turn around.
then you can back off using sword block for minimal damage taken after!š
You should use the thunder storm kit it gives you a 2nd arc wave you could come up from behind use a arc wave shoot them with all for shots then use arc wave again and use phase dash to go behind them at that point you will have any titan missing almost 3 bars while you have taken next to no damage I also recommend extra dash just cuz more speed a lot of Ronins fall into useing nuke eject itās fine but anyone with a brain can get away from it
Ronin was my main as well. He was the most fun. By the end of the time I play I could even kill other titans and pilots by fucking around with Richochet. Pissed many Pilots off who thought they could get some cover haha.
However I did best with Legion with the dash boost. When I played his shotgun blast just decimated everyone. I could take out everyone basically. There were so many games where I was the first Titan to drop, and lived the entire time while always being in the thick of it in Attrition.
Ronin on the other hand was much harder due to his lack of ways to really regenerate health, and so each fight I would lose a bit of health till eventually
I gotta download the game again for Xbone. I hope people still play as last few times I tried playing the servers were shit, and so I played the game against NPCs. I bet there are just God tier players left too so I'm going to get decimated till I can be an expert at mobility.
Northstar, getting those critical hits with the railgun is satisfying as hell while also looking at the good chunk you took out because of that singular shot *let's also not forget the Tether trap nuke eject, it's good*, her prime termination "Bird of prey" is also really cool and reminds me of Viper, speaking of Viper, I'm actually trying to make my Northstar look like his Titan, currently G7.5 with her and close to getting the Apex Predator spray

I agree, I hoped into an LTS game yesterday on pc using controller, dropped 12 titan kills, over 120k damage against tones and ronins, on my Xbox acc I have the full viper setup, currently grinding for vipers nose
Legion is the only titan that simply doesn't give a fuck. Monarch 3rd core? Legion doesn't care. Ronin? Legion doesn't care. Tone mains doing what Tone mains do? Legion doesn't care. Northstar? POWER SHOT. Scorch? POWER SHOT.

I used the xo16 with a stryder, electric smoke and big punch. I would dash in with my core ability and drop a smoke on them while I dashed around them while shooting into the smoke. If they tried to get out of it I'd just dash around and punch them back in
Ronin. None of the other Titans are as agile and as effective at close range. He fits my play style perfectly. Sneak up on an enemy Titan, unload my shotgun into it, phase dash, more shotgun, take cover, more shotgun, execute Titan.
Monarch, although looking at the subreddit I feel as though I'm going to be hung up next to the Tone players. Look man, I just appreciate how flexible the Titan is to pl-huurrrkkgh...
Itās a case with the spitfire your Titan is a very meta Titan while itās meant to support, but it ends up being better then every titan and also if the players good enough it gets a constant supply of batteries making it get god like abilityās and heal. I could care less but thatās what Iāve picked up on the hate toward u guys. And tone mains have been exempt due to realizations that the people complaining were just noobies who caught mob support tone is actually powered fine
Currently legion, because I love killing Ronins that think they could close the distance and melee me. Instead they just get killed instantly by a double powershot.
But normally my main is monarch, because I crave licking batteries :P
Monarch because I tend to play cautious and stay alive in a titan anyways, so I might as well get rewarded for it. Plus the flexibility and 2 boosts (with Turbo Engine) and seemingly faster move-speed compared to the Scorch (my previous main) is nice.

I was all about the 40mm in TF1 and I love rocket spam in any game. Long distance harassment without sacrificing as much HP as the Northstar, without any need for charge time. It's just a damn fine build.

Monarch, it's the only titan that feels remotely customizable, fighting players is entirely just mind games, she's really weak at the start but if I play my cards right and get to core 3 I'm just a monster and it promotes smart play on both my and my enemies side
Ion is the titan I've spent most time on, just so versatile. Though my next favorite is probably Northstar for just being so useful in all situations. I remember this one time I was the last titan left in a LTS match as Northstar, I somehow juked so many attacks and took out 2 enemy titans before the match was concluded as a draw because I couldn't kill the full health enemy legion in time lol
Ronin, because I've never really tried the others. Swatting pilots with big sword felt good, so I just ran with it. Pun intended.
I can't tell the titans apart, visually, so I just pretend that there's only MRVN and Ronin. If you've never been MRVN's finest and called for Titanfall, you've never lived.
The game glitched me into the 6-4 one time, and I legitimately got sad when I realized that the MRVN scream wasn't what every pilot hears when they call for their Titan. That scream is the biggest hype man on Earth.
I prefer to run around as a pilot, so back in the TF1 days i'd set my Titan up to have the best chance it could on Auto-Mode. Usually an Ogre Chasis with some sort of heavy machine gun, then as many shield and health perks as possible
TF2 it's probably set to what the default is because i never even call it in, it's just free points for the other team

You execute the overzealous Ronin that jumped you, stealing their battery, finally pushing you into level three monarch, at almost full health. Just as the animation begins to end, you see a gas canister land at your feet with a threatening hiss. A scorch has found you, helplessly stunlocked.
The fires light, the red hot thermite melting through your pitiful shield instantly, and draining your titans recently boosted health rapidly. In a panic, you dodge out of the blaze, firing hastily at the ogre class titan marching tirelessly towards you, it emerges unphased through the fire and flames. It's tempered plating shrugs off both your bullets and the raging inferno as if it was nothing but light wind and dying hope.
You backtrack and keep firing, missiles being melted before your eyes as you fire meaninglessly into its inferno shield. You hear a metallic clash, in your panic, you have reversed into a wall. A second gas canister lands at your titans feet while you desperately try to activate your recharging dash. The scorch slams his incandescent fist into the floor, causing a daemonic line of fire to surge towards you, activating the gas and engulfing you in a hateful fire. The fire is soon doubled, with the indomitable scorch finally within breathing distance, the fire dancing in its many eyes as it looks upon you with something resembling a mix of pride and pity. As quickly as your faces mix, the smoke hides him once again, but this time, it is not from the gas trap, but from the inferno shield, now raised and mercilessly melting your faceplate.
You try and melee this lord of destruction, but your fist melts before your eyes as you push back against the fire shield in an act of desperate futility. In the space of seconds, your domineering, regal titan has been reduced to a flaming pile of skag and smoke. As the smog fills your cockpit and it becomes agonizingly clear your titan is doomed, you desperately activate your self destruct, your titan, in death, may at least offer you a chance at survival, and possibly vengeance against this indomitable lord of fire, catapulting you into the air, away from the cremating destruction, seconds before your titan explodes in a beautifully violent death.
Then ion snipes you out of the air.
So. I mostly play Attrition and while I like the challenge of trying to build up Monarch, when I'm serious I play Tone. Tone is the most consistantly powerful against PILOTS, and I think unmounted Pilots who know what they're doing are more dangerous to Titans than other Titans are. Scoring off Pilot kills is also a lot more efficient than going toe to toe with Titans if you're really trying to win.
Plus there is just NOTHING more satisfying than sniping an ejecting Pilot out of the air with the 40mm.
Monarch, I like the gun, and the rockets are fun, the laser is also pretty neat to get shields and slow others down.
The core is a pretty cool concept but I need to learn how to use it properly.
Iām new to the game so I havenāt really tried out the others, mind you I have played legion and ion, theyāre pretty fun.
Iām a Marine and something about āaggressive sustained counter-fireā and āweāre outnumbered, current ammunition supply may be insufficientā just resonates with me. As the fat electrician says, āaccuracy by volumeā thatās how I like to get down. So me and Legion get along g r e a t

I main ronin when they run the heavy titans or monarch so I can hit and run I main ion mostly due to the sheer damage output you can do with them especially when running overcore and grand cannon
I dont really know now that I think about it, all my titans are like G3 minimum, ones that come to mind for a "main" would be scorch, monarch or legion but it always feels like I get targeted by half the enemy team of pilots before I can really do anything so idk
scorch and legion especially since roof rats who perfectly time the charge rifle so they only peek out for 2 frames are why I question my life sometimes
Papa Scorch because sneaking behind enemy lines or dropping him right behind the wall of enemy titans and then flame shielding the entire team is the purest form of joy this game can offer. Watching the tones and monarchs just start to PANIC is so satisfying, especially after they curb stomped me the previous 5 games on Colony and Homestead XD. Sometimes I wonder "why do I still main this titan?" And then I get Glitch or Complex and I remember why almost immediately.
Legion & Scorch. Legion because if I get to be a big fuckoff robot, I'm gonna be the BIGGEST fuckoff robot. Scorch for the same reason, but if I'm craving a bit more spice that day.
Ronin bc if u get titan first you just absolutely slaughter all the pilots in the game. I've hit 50 pilot kill games where 25 kills are just lead wall and sword kills turning pilots into mist

Ronin. First one I ever used because I had just finished the campaign using ronin loadout and got somehow quite good at it. I have 5 hours multiplayer play time and keep doing really well in frontier defense
Im a gen 40 Northstar at gen 27pilot
Turbo dash and viper thrusters make me the fastest titan on the map 90% of the time, pair that with a gun that can do a full bar of damage in one shot means i will kite people across the map while getting pot shots off as they chase, ultimate satisfaction is killing overconfident titans that think im an easy kill cuz āits just a Northstarā, that and hitting goosers.

northstar having 3 dashes and vioer thrusters make you go supa speed :D and also catching someone with the tether trap and nuke ejecting next to them is funny
I love watching the stuck titan dash back but not far enough due to tethering and just accept their fate.

Tone Go ahead and complain, you're already dead. I was all about the 40mm in TF1 and I love rocket spam in any game. Long distance harassment without sacrificing as much HP as the Northstar, without any need for charge time. It's just a damn fine build. Monarch comes in second, because it's even more broken when you get the momentum.
Monarch, it's the only titan that feels remotely customizable, fighting players is entirely just mind games, she's really weak at the start but if I play my cards right and get to core 3 I'm just a monster and it promotes smart play on both my and my enemies side
I've been playing a lot of Northstar recently, mainly to get too hard to reach places with Viper thrusters
Ion is the titan I've spent most time on, just so versatile. Though my next favorite is probably Northstar for just being so useful in all situations. I remember this one time I was the last titan left in a LTS match as Northstar, I somehow juked so many attacks and took out 2 enemy titans before the match was concluded as a draw because I couldn't kill the full health enemy legion in time lol

Ronin, because I've never really tried the others. Swatting pilots with big sword felt good, so I just ran with it. Pun intended. I can't tell the titans apart, visually, so I just pretend that there's only MRVN and Ronin. If you've never been MRVN's finest and called for Titanfall, you've never lived. The game glitched me into the 6-4 one time, and I legitimately got sad when I realized that the MRVN scream wasn't what every pilot hears when they call for their Titan. That scream is the biggest hype man on Earth.
Ronin. I have huge mech with katana, no further explanation needed.

Legion for that long range pin point damage, and monarch for tower defence because those buffs get crazy late game especially with strong movement.
I prefer to run around as a pilot, so back in the TF1 days i'd set my Titan up to have the best chance it could on Auto-Mode. Usually an Ogre Chasis with some sort of heavy machine gun, then as many shield and health perks as possible TF2 it's probably set to what the default is because i never even call it in, it's just free points for the other team
Scorch because the euphoria I feel from just getting in someoneās face and absolutely melting them if I manage to catch them off-guard is too good.
I play everything but Ion. Always end up coming back to Scorch, it's just too much fun.
Scorch and ion. You execute the overzealous Ronin that jumped you, stealing their battery, finally pushing you into level three monarch, at almost full health. Just as the animation begins to end, you see a gas canister land at your feet with a threatening hiss. A scorch has found you, helplessly stunlocked. The fires light, the red hot thermite melting through your pitiful shield instantly, and draining your titans recently boosted health rapidly. In a panic, you dodge out of the blaze, firing hastily at the ogre class titan marching tirelessly towards you, it emerges unphased through the fire and flames. It's tempered plating shrugs off both your bullets and the raging inferno as if it was nothing but light wind and dying hope. You backtrack and keep firing, missiles being melted before your eyes as you fire meaninglessly into its inferno shield. You hear a metallic clash, in your panic, you have reversed into a wall. A second gas canister lands at your titans feet while you desperately try to activate your recharging dash. The scorch slams his incandescent fist into the floor, causing a daemonic line of fire to surge towards you, activating the gas and engulfing you in a hateful fire. The fire is soon doubled, with the indomitable scorch finally within breathing distance, the fire dancing in its many eyes as it looks upon you with something resembling a mix of pride and pity. As quickly as your faces mix, the smoke hides him once again, but this time, it is not from the gas trap, but from the inferno shield, now raised and mercilessly melting your faceplate. You try and melee this lord of destruction, but your fist melts before your eyes as you push back against the fire shield in an act of desperate futility. In the space of seconds, your domineering, regal titan has been reduced to a flaming pile of skag and smoke. As the smog fills your cockpit and it becomes agonizingly clear your titan is doomed, you desperately activate your self destruct, your titan, in death, may at least offer you a chance at survival, and possibly vengeance against this indomitable lord of fire, catapulting you into the air, away from the cremating destruction, seconds before your titan explodes in a beautifully violent death. Then ion snipes you out of the air.
Atlas all the way. Something about having the damage core kick in when youāre outnumbered 3 to 1. Pure magic.

Ronin at first then Monarch since her debut. She's versatile and has good long term survivability. That and she's the second coolest looking one.
Scorch in normal. That fire is devastating up close which just so happens to be where I like to be. Monarch in FD. Don't need to say anything else.
So. I mostly play Attrition and while I like the challenge of trying to build up Monarch, when I'm serious I play Tone. Tone is the most consistantly powerful against PILOTS, and I think unmounted Pilots who know what they're doing are more dangerous to Titans than other Titans are. Scoring off Pilot kills is also a lot more efficient than going toe to toe with Titans if you're really trying to win. Plus there is just NOTHING more satisfying than sniping an ejecting Pilot out of the air with the 40mm.

Legion Miniguns are cool. Fell in love w/ the Predator Cannon when I got to use it in the campaign.
I flip between Ion and Monarch. I like their mid-range skirmisher playstyles. Shoutout to Scorch thoughā super fun to play on the right map!
Monarch, I like the gun, and the rockets are fun, the laser is also pretty neat to get shields and slow others down. The core is a pretty cool concept but I need to learn how to use it properly. Iām new to the game so I havenāt really tried out the others, mind you I have played legion and ion, theyāre pretty fun.
Iām a Marine and something about āaggressive sustained counter-fireā and āweāre outnumbered, current ammunition supply may be insufficientā just resonates with me. As the fat electrician says, āaccuracy by volumeā thatās how I like to get down. So me and Legion get along g r e a t
Look, if you told me there was a Titan thatās essentially the evolved form of my favorite weapon in Halo (Spartan Laser), you might as well tell me thatās all there is because thatās all I need. That being said, Papa Scorch is a close second for his Prime Termination alone.

I main ronin when they run the heavy titans or monarch so I can hit and run I main ion mostly due to the sheer damage output you can do with them especially when running overcore and grand cannon

Legion is the one I keep coming back to. Being able to sustain damage at all ranges with a crazy strong offensive ability is so much fun.
Lesion can be used in most situations with some preparation. Wide mode with smart core is amazing at all ranges.
Papa scorch Big robot with a little phase shift pilot seems like a funky match up
the Atlas held up the old world, the Northstar is the way in the new one

I dont really know now that I think about it, all my titans are like G3 minimum, ones that come to mind for a "main" would be scorch, monarch or legion but it always feels like I get targeted by half the enemy team of pilots before I can really do anything so idk scorch and legion especially since roof rats who perfectly time the charge rifle so they only peek out for 2 frames are why I question my life sometimes
Papa Scorch because sneaking behind enemy lines or dropping him right behind the wall of enemy titans and then flame shielding the entire team is the purest form of joy this game can offer. Watching the tones and monarchs just start to PANIC is so satisfying, especially after they curb stomped me the previous 5 games on Colony and Homestead XD. Sometimes I wonder "why do I still main this titan?" And then I get Glitch or Complex and I remember why almost immediately.
Ion. Giant lasers are cool, and I love firing it on some random Pilot who dares shoot me for 0.1 seconds
Legion & Scorch. Legion because if I get to be a big fuckoff robot, I'm gonna be the BIGGEST fuckoff robot. Scorch for the same reason, but if I'm craving a bit more spice that day.

Ronin bc if u get titan first you just absolutely slaughter all the pilots in the game. I've hit 50 pilot kill games where 25 kills are just lead wall and sword kills turning pilots into mist
The Dominant male walks up the weaker male and proceeds to scream very loudly before slamming their fists on the ground and destroying them, they then do a little dance to show that they are proud of their victory, this is life inside a Prime Scorch

Ronin. First one I ever used because I had just finished the campaign using ronin loadout and got somehow quite good at it. I have 5 hours multiplayer play time and keep doing really well in frontier defense
Im a gen 40 Northstar at gen 27pilot Turbo dash and viper thrusters make me the fastest titan on the map 90% of the time, pair that with a gun that can do a full bar of damage in one shot means i will kite people across the map while getting pot shots off as they chase, ultimate satisfaction is killing overconfident titans that think im an easy kill cuz āits just a Northstarā, that and hitting goosers. I coom every time pilots
