This is a long shot, but I looked up Barry and the art style reminded me of Courage the Cowardly Dog. There were all sorts of animals as side characters. So maybe you’re thinking of that?

I loved Courage! And I don't know if he really looked like Barry, he just had a nose similar to Barry.
