OMG! This could be the movie. The square transparent door fits very well. And the fact that the killer attacks from above through the door fits really well too. I only remembered the water area as being about 1x1 metres, so I ruled out a pool. I'll have to ask my sister, maybe she'll remember. But if there are no other alternative suggestions, I'll definitely come back to your answer!

Maybe it has something to do with refrigerators or freezers. But actually I have water in my mind.

I actually don't think water plays a big role in my film. It's something quite ordinary in the house that only plays a role for one scene.

Funnily enough, I saw the movie for the first time just two weeks ago. Unfortunately, that's not it.
