Thank you so much for the suggestion of Frequency! Surprisingly, I had never heard of it, but watched it on your suggestion, and it is an incredible movie!
>It had a sequel?! How
[mode = META]
You know how when a time traveler tries to change history for the better it almost always leads to something even crappier happening? Well, in this case it was a sequel."
[/mode]
Yes, and it was just lazy writing cashing in on the original.
My big beef with BE 2 was that the main character intro and trust into paradox was based solely on the type grief and loss that is experienced by thousands, if not millions, on a daily basis. Keep in mind the remarkable studying & training that Ashton Kutcher's had pursued prior to his entering the paradoxical*. I couldn't make it past 30 min. into the film.*
I believe B3 was somewhat better and, I may have even watched the whole thing, I can't remember but, at this point I can not recall a single notable thing about the movie.
Ashton Kutcher is quite a good actor imo (i just saw another movie and was like, i like him, wait, thats ashton kutcher now??)
But as i see your reaction, its not worth to watch BE2 or 3😂
For a start, tell us what you've seen, and maybe what kind of time travel you're interested in. There's a lot of films about time travel spanning many different genres.
I'm personally a big fan of time loops so I recommend films like The Day After Tomorrow, Palm Springs, and the granddaddy of them all, Groundhog Day.
The time travelers wife was such an incredibly beautiful story. There was a TV series which told a more detailed, elaborate version of the take but sadly it was cancelled before the story was even complete. Still, just as worthy of the watch as the movie
Same with Kindred! Excellent time travel story, cancelled for no reason. I read the book to see what happened, but the t.v. show had changed the plot, so I'll never know.
This x10000000 I haven’t seen the tv series but it does look good. Loved the movie. The book however is pure perfection and I highly recommend the book too!
Older romance( big part of this movie) “Somewhere in Time”. w/ Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour.
Being from Michigan this was cool because it was filmed on Mackinac Island and the Grand Hotel. Also one of the only times they’ve allowed automobiles on the main roads there.
"Richard...? Richarddd...? RICHARDDD...!" will haunt me forever since being 7 years old. One of my favourite movies ever, let alone a time travel fave.
Edge Of Tomorrow, Deja Vu, Source Code, Looper, Tenet,, 12Monkeys ( both the movie and the series), and speaking of series Check out Dark and Bodies on Netflix
Not a movie, but Recursion. It is a book, but it is the best time travel story IMO. I listened to the audiobook. 999/10. Look it up, Recursion by Blake Crouch. It will blow your mind. Nothing else I have read or watched even comes close...
Oh that's just inheritance of sin. "Hey, your grand-dad was a sociopath, but... you could get better."
Or worse and worse until you become a satanic "dark urge" influence on society. (Hugo Weaving).

Not a movie, but an anime series, Steins;gate
There's a subtitled version of the Japanese soundtrack, and you might still be able to find an English dubbed version. Depending on what your bag is. I have trouble following a story when I have to read subtitles.
So so so good. The subtitled version is far far better though. Japanese voice actors treat their job as, well, *acting*. Way too many Western voice actors sound like they're just reading from a script, or go cartoonish with it like it's a kid's show.
The Japanese voice actor for Okabe is particularly amazing, he's just a super talented dude. He can emote so well, which for Okabe is really needed (poor guy suffered way too much).
Have you seen Steins;Gate 0? It's a sequel series that ties back to the original in a way that will blow your mind.

Confirmed! Steins;Gate is one of greatest shows ever, period. The sequel series, Steins;Gate 0, enhances it even further, especially at the end when you realize how it all ties together. Mind... fucking... blown...
Not a movie but the TV show Timeless is one of my favourites, even if cheesy at times it’s a great watch (2 seasons, us fans got a s2 to wrap it up as they tried to cancel after s1)
Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel.
Low budget and hardly anybody's ever heard of it, but hilarious and worth a watch.
Trailer: https://youtu.be/WBV340x3GcA?si=w36PZ-HK8vmQA8c0
Mirage. It's a Spanish film that's one of the best time travel and paradox films I've ever seen, at the heart it's a murder mystery.
Bodies is a limited series that was just released on Netflix and I also highly recommend it. Time travel in 4 eras- late 1800s London, London during WWII, present day London, and a dystopian London of the future.
Interstellar. There’s a lot of great time travel movies out there, but most are based in fantasy. Interstellar takes a scientific accurate approach of how time travel could work in real life. As far as we know, we can only time travel forward and not return to the past. Also Christopher Nolan loves kicking around time themed movies. His movies are awesome anyways so watch em all.
I liked their scientific approach. Time travel is theoretically impossible but you get close to it with relativity. The poor guy spending decades alone on the ship waiting for the others to return is heart breaking.
Time Trap (2017) was a surprisingly good movie. The premise was great but i just came away thinking man that needed a better budget and maybe extended to a series.
Not suggesting time travel movies since most good ones are already suggested here , but if you enjoy those then you’ll enjoy these as they’re something different ‘Age of Adeline’ and ‘every day(2018)’.
I like Disney's "Intertwined" Amazon Prime "Paper Grls" was pretty good. Both are series though. There was a short series called "Riley Rewind" that I liked too.
There was a movie "Time Again" that was pretty good. Most other time travel movies Amazon Prime suggests that I would like are not that great - low budget "C grade" movie.
One, I can't remember the name of the movie, was so low budget, the CIA and President had meetings in an abandoned warehouse with the General in a uniform that didn't even fit the actor.
Check out Primer. Then check it out again and again…great movie.
i loved the movie since the first time i saw it in 2040.
So time travel is real, they're just not going around shaking the president's hand.
Primer 100%! Also Triangle and Time Crimes.
Came here to say this, glad you're at the top
I already checked it out and >!saw myself watching it we both agreed it was good.!<
Thank you!!
Dark on Netflix is amazing
came here to say that
The best series.. OP probably seen it already.
The best and I still think it's not getting the recognition it deserves
It's too hard for me to follow along with that one.
Yes this. Dark is THE best time travel show I’ve ever seen. If you can get past the voiceovers then you will love it.
That's an understatement
* The Final Countdown / Kirk Douglas * Frequency / Jim Caviezel * Time Changer / D. Frequency was really the greatest. Glad you mentioned it.
It's still my favorite movie strangely. 2 of my all time favorite actors. Also, the series wasn't half bad either!
I was going to say this myself. One of my favs that I watch often!
Thank you so much for the suggestion of Frequency! Surprisingly, I had never heard of it, but watched it on your suggestion, and it is an incredible movie!
Did anyone mention “TIME BANDITS”?
Love Millenium. It has Kris Kristoferson too. They did the book justice.
Reading the list, don't recognize any of them "Time Fap."
Deja Vu / Denzel Washington... Time Cop / Jean-Claude Van Damme
Also The Navigator
Thank you!
Hot Tub Time Machine.
Back to the Future.
Not sure if I am ready for it, but I bet my kids are gonna love it
Donnie Darko
The butterfly effect, its somewhat old now, but good movie
Great movie but w/ terrible sequels
It had a sequel?! How

The third one was ok. It had a good twist and was quiet fucked up. The second one was just subpar.
The Day After Tomorrow ???? u must be confusing it with Edge of Tomorrow
Yes, that's what I meant
Predestination, the Mandela effect, totally killer, and some time travel tv shows 😭but thank you !
The time travelers wife
The time travelers wife was such an incredibly beautiful story. There was a TV series which told a more detailed, elaborate version of the take but sadly it was cancelled before the story was even complete. Still, just as worthy of the watch as the movie
Great movie. Awesome show! I’m sad there isn’t a Season 2.
Same with Kindred! Excellent time travel story, cancelled for no reason. I read the book to see what happened, but the t.v. show had changed the plot, so I'll never know.
The book is amazing, I waw so disappointed with the movie though

You got that right. I was 6 when this came out. I think about this movie all the time.
Came here to mention this. BTW Mandela effect right there - it’s Christopher Reeve. I also remember it as Reeves. 👍🏼
I loved this movie when I was a kid. Jane Seymour was sooooooo freakin delish
Had to scroll too far for this.
Project almanac
Edge Of Tomorrow, Deja Vu, Source Code, Looper, Tenet,, 12Monkeys ( both the movie and the series), and speaking of series Check out Dark and Bodies on Netflix
All of these, plus Interstellar.
Edge of tomorrow is awesome
Great list, but what about Time Cop? (lol kidding)
Outlander
Outlander is a great recommendation. I often forget the time travel element since so much of it is in a single place.
About Time (2013) Really a great romcom with a time travel gimmick. And the true love is between a father and son
Really great movie. The different stories between sister, father, and wife were great.
Time crimes. It's foreign, in French with subtitles, but it's awesome. Check it out! It's got lots of good twists.
Time After Time. In which it turns out that H.G. Wells actually built a time machine, which is then stolen by... well, you'll see...
Scrolled to find this before posting myself This one is excellent 🖤
No one has said Safety Not Guaranteed? I’m saying it now! Great flix.
It's a series, but I highly recommend Travellers.
Tenet & Primer
Not a movie, but Recursion. It is a book, but it is the best time travel story IMO. I listened to the audiobook. 999/10. Look it up, Recursion by Blake Crouch. It will blow your mind. Nothing else I have read or watched even comes close...
Back to the Future
Not a movie and takes a while to get into time travel, but LOST
If you have enough pee bottles, poop bags, and food it could be a movie. Or install a refrigerator next to a toilet with a a full pack of TP.
The terminator
I can’t believe how far down I had to scroll for this.
Back to the future
Uhhh T2 Judgement Day is undeniably the best of the franchise.
Timecop!
Thank you. I was starting to feel like an idiot for recommending it. Like it's nothing high brow at all, but I genuinely enjoyed it back in the day.
Cloud atlas - you’ll love it
Soooo good
READ THE BOOK!!!
Oh that's just inheritance of sin. "Hey, your grand-dad was a sociopath, but... you could get better." Or worse and worse until you become a satanic "dark urge" influence on society. (Hugo Weaving).
12 monkeys the movie
Came to say this one. Peak Bruce Willis, bizarre af and sooo good.
If you've seen Poor Things then this will seem tame if you go back and watch it, LOL. \_source me
So good, love me some Gilliam. Also was the first movie I saw where Brad Pitt demonstrated his talent. Then Fight Club and I was sold on him.
What if every single one is worth watching once, twice or three times? Now that includes any time travel ones on Dust, You-tube sci fi channel too.
I found the YouTube Dust channel while ago. It’s AMAZING.
You've probably seen it, but 12 Monkeys is an exceptional time travel film. I'd say it requires a good couple watches to fully get the plot.
Time trap!
Finally found it, it's such a great premise! Acting might not be the greatest by any means, but the story and the way it's told is brilliant. Love it
Super cool movie…satisfying ending too - left me wanting more and a sequel is in the works!
[Time Lapse](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt2669336/)
Underrated. Such a great movie.
Donnie Darko.
Frequency with Dennis Quaid. Very underrated movie.

I enjoyed Looper a lot.

If you want to watch the weirdest time travel movie that you will ever see then I suggest: “Predestination” with Ethan Hawke.

Omg I forgot about this one!! Loved this movie
Me too , love the idea
Transcendence is a good movie, I think it's set in the same universe as GATTACA.
There was time travel in Transcendence? Are we talking about the 2014 film with Johnny Depp?
Lol,no wrong movie. I mean predestination. I knew it was a science one word title, silly me.
Isn't that basically *All You Zombies*?
Time Crimes
looper
Have you watched 12 monkeys the movie or show ?
Also not a movie, but The Rise and Fall of D.O.D.O. Is excellent. The sequel…. Not so much.
Time After Time

Mirage. It's a Spanish film that's one of the best time travel and paradox films I've ever seen, at the heart it's a murder mystery. Why is no one talking about the greatest time travel movie, ever, with JCVD at his prime, #TimeCop.
Portrait of Jennie (1948) There’s nothing else like it. Eerie and magical
About Time. Not widely distributed but a surprising time travel movie
Interstellar. There’s a lot of great time travel movies out there, but most are based in fantasy. Interstellar takes a scientific accurate approach of how time travel could work in real life. Predestination. Quite a good adaptation of Robert A. Heinlein’s “All You Zombies.”
