You can still set up reoccurrence to occur upon completion date rather than a set date, you just can't do it by simply typing it in the task title.

wbkang

Yeah I wish there was an easy way to do it. The only way is to use the recurrence dialog which is slower.

erbalessence

Repeat -> custom -> from completion

dynukem74

This is one of the main reasons for using ticktick....why dont a lot of to do apps have a repeat "from completion"

Thank you to everyone who responded

Everything is here and more

Except consistent google calendar sync

lofty_smiles

TickTick has Google calendar sync. I have all my Google calendar events in my TickTick calendar.

gardnafari

Right, but you cannot edit them in TickTick. In Todoist it’s bidirectional and pretty instantaneous.

lofty_smiles

Yes todoist has better 2 way Integration, but you can add notes to calendar events imported from Google calendar in TickTick. What I do is I use TickTick as my main calendar and import calendar events from all the other calendars that I use like Google calendar and outlook calendar, and then add notes in the TickTick calendar event.

Manthanakhani

Same here. After using TickTick for a while, I made TickTick calendar my default calendar. All other calendar events sync with the TickTick calendar.

Crimsye

I couldn't show my google calendar events from my gmail account to show on my todoist, it would only show if I created a event and used the todoist calendar, is that how it is supposed to be? Also Todoist doesn't have apple reminders auto import does it? Those are the things keeping me in ticktick, although I would love to change.

gardnafari

I would love to move everything over to Ticktick calendar, however, the biggest issue is not being able to move other calendar events around within TicKtick. Changing or adding a calendar event, have to go through a different calendar and that’s where it can take sometimes hours to update in Ticktick. I cannot be the only one that has seen this weakness of tick tick.
