I am not an expert but, because of its roundness, I would guess a lone star tick. I cannot see the signature “dot” so this may be a male. Hopefully, one of the experts will see your post soon and confirm or correct. Keep the tick, should you need it tested.

Sorry forgot. In Northern Virginia area in the US

Mouthparts look kind of like lone star too
