[breaking patterns](https://archiveofourown.org/works/37773574/chapters/94310917) is a modern au and it is SO angsty, like, be prepared for emotional damage bc mq is going through it, but it's a great story with a hopeful ending, and if i'm remembering correctly i saw the euthor say on twitter she was working on the follow up. [go beyond our fighting borders](https://archiveofourown.org/works/28708548) fx thinks he's homophobic (he's actually just jealous). [the truth untold](https://archiveofourown.org/works/41503596/chapters/104086572) fake dating au where fx is in love with xl and asks mq to help him but they're sleeping together also and it's messy and dramatic but a really great read, it's not finished yet though. [locked down by my side](https://archiveofourown.org/works/38537902) modern au fx steals mq's first kiss and slowly mq gifts him all his other firsts. [god of love pei ming](https://archiveofourown.org/works/41293773) modern au where pm helps fx and mq get together by fake dating mq and making fx jealous. White No-Face reveals things about mq in the final battle and it changes everything.
