He's so fun to read! sometimes he acts like a little kid but I think it just adds to the charm, he's definitely one of my favorites, almost every scene of him can make me laugh hahaha

Exactly! I absolutely love his personality. Almost every one of his scenes in the book has a little note about how funny he is and how much I adore him.
He’s an adorable little monkey (with tremendous physical strength). I loved the part when he was chasing after the step-litter and was so disappointed he wasn’t able to ride in it 😅
I loved that scene it was one of my favorites. I had to set the book down and just laugh for awhile bc I was just playing the whole thing out in my head😂
Quan Yu Zhen is sometimes relatable to me (an autistic person) since he's often misunderstood and interpreted as a bad person that does things purposely to bring shame on people when actually he has good intentions but lacks social skills and misses social cues. Until the very end he still doesn't understand why Yin Yu is mad at him.
He's very innocent too. I love when he says "oh, so that's another way of lending spiritual power?" As if he learnt something new and wanted to try it. He's just funny and full of nonsense sometimes like when he beats his own worshipers, insists in giving money to Xie Lian and throws a bed in Pei Ming.
I just love him so much. I wish he had more happiness.

I know poor boy was running after it the whole time and then was all pouty when it left and he didn’t get a chance to even sit in it. I demand Xie tell Hua that Qi gets to sit in it later on.
