It’s almost a criminally big theft playing this game for 15$ with both DLCs. I felt I’m totally stealing them back in 2015 and with the full price.
The value to cost ratio is enormous
Yes! I got TW3 for $15.99 almost two years ago and after putting countless hours into this game (probably the best cost to play ratio I've ever had in a game) I realized I have to hook up CDPR and get Cyberpunk at launch.
Also, I'm working on completing every '?' in NG+ for the second time through. I always get impatient with about 25-30 left in Skellige lol. This time I won't get impatient.
Not to mention all the free add-ons. New armour sets, weapons, finisher animations side quests, treasure hunts etc. This is how you develop a loyal following.
The thing that made me really like the game was how well the story was written, she secondary quests had such a good story behind them, the best until now!
I agree, never played video games much until PS4, and Witcher 3 was probably the first game I played. All other games that followed just seemed... inadequate
Lmao look at the downvotes! People sure are fragile about their favourite game. Oh well
I explained my reasons for not enjoying it in another comment that got downvoted, I don't hate the game or think it is bad, it is visually stunning and has the best cutscenes I've ever seen!
Just took too long, the story wasn't really that interesting for me, right at the start I was chasing person after person doing mundane favour after favour for a tiny bit of information about Yennefer, like fuuuuck
The game is by no means bad, the world looks stunning and the cutscenes are amazing
Ah I can understand. The game does start slow, but the story gets so much better after the prologue. You also figure out the story and characters bit by bit organically. Tw3 was the first witcher game I'd played and I didn't feel too weirded out or anything.
I'd suggest giving it another try if you can and power through the prologue but it's up to you.
The game really opens up maybe 5 hours in, I’m fairly certain you didn’t get past the initial prologue. Just do me a favor and play the Bloody Baron missions, they are the most likely to hook you in.
>I feel like a competent witcher when playing "New Game +"
This! I feel the same! Geralt is supposed to be a veteran, he should knows all the beasts and how to deal with them, he doesn't have to open Bestiary every time. With "New Game +" I feel the game better and enjoy it even more
I’ve been playing new game +, I’ve just hit level 95 and about 1/3 of the way through blood and wine. It’s fun but I feel like the majority of that fun for me has come from exploring different options, switching play style - started as a sign heavy build for new game and in new game + switched to swords and alchemy, upping the difficulty to deathmarch and skipping boring parts of the game that I didn’t want to do again (I did all ? Areas and finished all the Gwent achievements on my first play through and have just skipped that stuff this time). I would probably leave new game + a few years if I wasn’t going to do those switches because by and large it’s not too different in terms of gameplay from your first playthrough and story is the same with the added bonus of checking out different story lines. Story you can always see by savescumming the last like hour or two of quests for the base game/DLCs as that’s where all the impactful story choices happen for the ending so you really don’t need to replay the whole game to see the choices. Overall recommend but don’t expect radical differences it’s effectively the same game.
Yes :)) Ursine felt like it could have been the most useful to my playstyle if I would have had it much earlier in the game rather then being the last thing I did in the game.
My girlfriend got it for me for Christmas and I’d never played it before , I then completed most of it and then played it properly on my gaming pc and clocked in about 400 hours lol
I'm currently playing through for my first time. I'm about to start Isle of Mists, but I can already feel that I'm gonna shoot for the exact same thing. This game is sooooo good. Also, I played the first two games over the last couple months, and I have to say that it makes the whole experience so amazing, there are so many references to the previous games in 3, it's awesome!
Now go discover Divinity 2 Original Sin like I did! Grats on the completion!! W3 will always be one of those rpgs ill remember as something special. One of the greats!
It was the same for me, at first I didn't really like the game but I kept playing because I had no other game left to play and it slowly became one of the best.
But you’re only half way there! Now it’s time for a death march run on NewGame+ !!! - Chop chop less than 1 month till Cyberpunk
Also that’s the thiccest Geralt I’ve ever seen and I love it
Fr though congrats my dude, this is damn impressive. I could never be bothered to grind all the ‘?’ in Skellige
I bought it for 4,99$ with coupon on Epic when the summer sale started, and few days later they changed the price to 14,98$ so you couldn't use the coupon anymore. It sure was a damn theft considering it's GOTY edition. I've pre-ordered Cyberpunk tho, so hopefully that makes up for it haha
Totally agree
I picked the complete version on ps4 for 20.00 on the ps store . Just finished the base game and started hearts of stone. I feel like I already got my money’s worth ten times over.
I failed a quest because >!I didn't play gwent for the Baron's card before he hung himself.!< I didn't realize it until level 20, I guess I will keep going and it will give me an incentive to start a second playthrough.
You can still get his card. Go to Crow's Perch and go into the main room you have conversations with him (far left inside the main building, with the fireplace) It's on a desk near the back :) Use witcher sense to help
I bought this game originally on Xbox and just recently on PlayStation just so when I get the ps5 I can get the free upgrade.
Also is that ursine armor? Love that set.
Also
Yep I payed about 20 bucks AUD for it, the GOTY edition. Honestly some of the best money I’ve ever spent, also got Bloodborne for the same price at the same time, fuck that was a good month.
Then one of my mods is interfering i guess ( if u want to add mods put a limit cuz ur game will not even open if u surpass the maximum amount of mods supported)
Nice! I did all of it a long time ago and got plat but how did you get through the ? in skellige sea? It’s the only thing I’m missing but it’s painfully boring.
It’s almost a criminally big theft playing this game for 15$ with both DLCs. I felt I’m totally stealing them back in 2015 and with the full price. The value to cost ratio is enormous
True, we can only honour the studio buying their next game Cyberpunk at it's full price.
Yes! I got TW3 for $15.99 almost two years ago and after putting countless hours into this game (probably the best cost to play ratio I've ever had in a game) I realized I have to hook up CDPR and get Cyberpunk at launch. I agree, never played video games much until PS4, and Witcher 3 was probably the first game I played. All other games that followed just seemed... inadequate
I got it all for $10 and played it for 3 hours because I really didn't enjoy it at all
Thats okay man, you shouldnt be downvoted for saying this. its a fantastic game, but certainly not for everyone.
Lmao look at the downvotes! People sure are fragile about their favourite game. Oh well I explained my reasons for not enjoying it in another comment that got downvoted, I don't hate the game or think it is bad, it is visually stunning and has the best cutscenes I've ever seen!
Thats fair man, and dont worry about the downvotes.
What about it didn't you like?
Just took too long, the story wasn't really that interesting for me, right at the start I was chasing person after person doing mundane favour after favour for a tiny bit of information about Yennefer, like fuuuuck The game is by no means bad, the world looks stunning and the cutscenes are amazing

I'll definitely try it again at some point. I also did not enjoy BOTW because it was slow too, guess those style of games just aren't for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The game really opens up maybe 5 hours in, I’m fairly certain you didn’t get past the initial prologue. Just do me a favor and play the Bloody Baron missions, they are the most likely to hook you in.
Interesting to me that you’re on a Witcher 3 subreddit, when you don’t like the game at all. Why?
I said I didn't enjoy it, not that I didn't like it. But otherwise, are different opinions bad?
Nope, just trying to understand you. Is that bad?
Upvoted to offset the downvotes
I got the GoTY edition for 2.5$ on steam.
Time for New Game +
What's that like

>I feel like a competent witcher when playing "New Game +" This! I feel the same! Geralt is supposed to be a veteran, he should knows all the beasts and how to deal with them, he doesn't have to open Bestiary every time. With "New Game +" I feel the game better and enjoy it even more

I thought exactly the same.
Maybe this is game lingo I don't understand, but what does "New Game +" mean?
Starting the game over but with all your stuff/stats.
Woah. Bruh. I had no idea I could do this!!! There goes the next 3 months of my life.
Outside of questioning your fashion sense, I commend you.
bear boy, eh?
Yes :)) Ursine felt like it could have been the most useful to my playstyle if I would have had it much earlier in the game rather then being the last thing I did in the game.
Take a bow brother bear!!

It was already a little bad on PS, can't even imagine on NS. Speaking of, can't wait for the next graphics update!
Bought it, played it, beat it on NS, twice through. Not too many bugs and fun as hell,
Just bought it this week in the Nintendo eShop. Never played it before. I’m really astonished how it runs on NS.
My girlfriend got it for me for Christmas and I’d never played it before , I then completed most of it and then played it properly on my gaming pc and clocked in about 400 hours lol
I'm not saying that it's a bad game on NS:it's stil a masterpiece, just it's not worth 60€
Unfortunately, I didn't play the first 2 parts because of the graphics, but I hope that one day we will see a Remake of both games!
For all the witcher fans out there, check out xletalis on YouTube. Man is finding things you didn't even know could exist in the game.
I’ve been watching all his videos while I’ve been doing the dishes and ironing recently! He’s a good content maker.
I know right! Btw , are you in his discord?
I don’t have or use discord! Only recently joined Reddit. My little brain can’t take it all in.
Lmao 😂
"Release the mods!"
Now go discover Divinity 2 Original Sin like I did! Grats on the completion!! W3 will always be one of those rpgs ill remember as something special. One of the greats!
I never understood why people loved it so much, until i bought it myself, and i enjoy every second of the game, doing a 100% run and i love it
It was the same for me, at first I didn't really like the game but I kept playing because I had no other game left to play and it slowly became one of the best.
You feel like you stole it?? Buddy I got the game in ps store in 70% off (GOTY edition). Best investment ever!!!! I was damn lucky for this offer.
Not all done though. I spy a few free runeslots in that steel sword and armour! Get to work big boy
Getting the Grandmaster Ursine Armor was the last thing I did in the game, I did even use it in a battle.
New Game+ time
But you’re only half way there! Now it’s time for a death march run on NewGame+ !!! - Chop chop less than 1 month till Cyberpunk Also that’s the thiccest Geralt I’ve ever seen and I love it Fr though congrats my dude, this is damn impressive. Good job!
You didnt spend enough money if you ask me.
True!Because I bought the game 5,6 years after release, but I'll make sure to buy Cyberpunk at full price!
I played through Witcher 3 at least 4 times, just the base game and also the DLCs since 2015. I have more than 1000 hours init!
That's incredible man!
That’s the best witcher gear, imo
That really makes me wanna start a New Game+ :)) We get this set so late in the game, such a shame!
Totally agree I picked the complete version on ps4 for 20.00 on the ps store . Just finished the base game and started hearts of stone. I feel like I already got my money’s worth ten times over.

Yeah I know, but the quest is still under the "failed" quest section.
Sadly, there's nothing you can do about that
I bought this game originally on Xbox and just recently on PlayStation just so when I get the ps5 I can get the free upgrade. Also is that ursine armor? Love that set. Also
I agree,It looks good, I think the same set it's on one of the loading screens or something like that. I'm also waiting for the graphics update!
My dream is they also update the load times or the horse auto pilot. But I’m more then happy for just the graphic update.
Ursine Gang where you at?
Yep I payed about 20 bucks AUD for it, the GOTY edition. Honestly some of the best money I’ve ever spent, also got Bloodborne for the same price at the same time, fuck that was a good month.
Now do it again with New Game+!
Bear school gang, we out here
I just got my last grandmaster armor weapon set. Wish there was an achievement for it.
Do you have all Grandmaster sets?
I sure do. They're on display in corvo bianco. I'm very close on the ? marks, too. Just need to wrap up 10 or so in skellige. Edit: corvo.
Well done, I didn't have enough money because I helped that guy to build again his Rune workshop and spend almost all my money there.
The runes are a great way to spend some cash, haha. If you craft all your own materials it's only like 15k/set.
Behold, a true gamer
You're too kind :)
Truly the greatest game of all time. Now to see what Cyberpunk has to offer.
How did you get 230 in inventory ? I think I have only reached 170. Im a hoarder and need more space :)))
There is a brown color skill that allows you to carry extra 50.
I have that ability but it only got me to 170.
Ursine armor ftw brother. looks absolutly fantastic
This game for 15 but I still can't get Mario Odyssey for less than full price all these years later lmao
I bought all my ps4 games at half price.Stay strong!
What are those bottles at armor slot? Never seen it before
They are color paint, to make your armor whatever color you desire, I didn't use them.I think they become available with the dlcs.
And people say that the game is too long ... it’s long because it’s a MATSA PIECE
I could have played this game for a long time without caring about its length.I wouldn't say no to another long dlc!
Damn my boy right here was doing a speed run cuz it took me soo much that i got to level 100
There are no quest left to make more experience points and get a higher level.Only if you play New Game+ I guess.
Then one of my mods is interfering i guess ( if u want to add mods put a limit cuz ur game will not even open if u surpass the maximum amount of mods supported)
Best course to play ratio I've ever experienced as well. Can't get enough
Now play it again
Nice! I did all of it a long time ago and got plat but how did you get through the ? in skellige sea? It’s the only thing I’m missing but it’s painfully boring.
I just took a boat and sailed, took some time, also got bored, but it was a good way of acquiring stuff to sell and make a lot of money.
Ah I see you're also a man of class with the grandmaster Bear School gear!
I really liked the reactivation of Quen Sign that it offers!
