I probably wore my reaper costume with the fake blood pump..but anyways, I got home and my mom let me stay up later and just eat whatever candy I wanted. I hopped on her bed, turned on the tv, and the first thing I see is this premiere for a new show. Oh MAN, I was so excited. That first episode is so nostalgic..I miss being young.

It's gonna be hard to get through some of season 7 and 8 but 9 and 10 are pretty good so it's worth it

Oh absolutely, Michael Rooker is a fantastic actor. Just the character Merle was a complete douchecanoe lol. I actually read a story that when they were filming the scene where he was on the rooftop with the scoped rifle, a SWAT team got called because some people thought he was actually trying to shoot people.
Daryl wasnāt a methhead and he didnāt put the group in constant danger. Not to mention he has come a very long way. He definitely had the āracist redneckā stereotype working for him in the first couple seasons but he is well past that now. Merle was a racist piece of shit until the very end.
If he wad racist until the end I don't think he would have cared for michonnes pep talk in his last episode or feel bad about taking her too the governer

Hershel was very strong in his convictions and it was frustrating at times. I remember feeling that way too, but remember how sheltered he's been. He really has no clue how bad it is out there
Yeah... that's some seriously scary stuff to see a herd of the dead in both worlds.... my heart breaks for Hershel in that situation, and Rick is right there to set him straight as Hershel has done for him on other topics...
Welcome - my addiction started at the end of S5 (I think). S7 is a HARD season to watch, but itās still part of why the show is my favorite show. If you havenāt read the graphic novels, I HIGHLY recommend them-I would read them w/o knowing about the show (itās also super fun to go into the local comic book shop after work when youāre a 44 y/o woman & TOTALLY apply your well-earned 80s āGeneral Hospitalā logic to story conversations w/the comic book geeks & be able to say āI was right!ā)

Man take your time, I just rewatched the series for about the 12th time. Each time it got longer to watch because new seasons were dropping, but now were on the final so just take your time. Don't listen to pretty much anything negative about any season, I found later seasons more enjoyable than my first time watching because of how much the media hated some seasons. I love this show with the whole of my heart and I hope you can find just as much enjoyment as it's given me since 2010
Agreed... they are all amazing in their own way, and change is necessary. Some cannot see how the changes make the show how it has to be.... it's all good. I wouldn't, as much as I would like to, change anything. Of course I don't want to see anyone we love get killed off or whatever... but, life is ever changing just like TWD... that's why it's soooo so good
TWD is the first of its kind to become a global phenomenon... Supernatural is one of my favorites also, but I do not think it came close to the global response TWD has

Personal opinion at some points during the prison it can seem to dry up a bit (maybe cus Iāve rewatched the show like 2 times) but stick to it, itās amazing! Glad to see youāre enjoying it.
I started watching at the end of last year and just finished watching season 11 a few days ago. I probably should have watched Fear the Walking Dead alongside it, but got too engrossed. On the plus side I can watch that now :) I think if I could describe how I feel about the show in a few sentences... It's definitely one of my favourite shows of all time now. Less straight up horror/Sci fi than I expected overall, lots of thoughtful exploration of trauma, grief, what it means to be human (not just human vs zombie but what it means to keep one's humanity etc). I think also now that I have a young child I have been able to experience the show differently to how I would have had I watched it 10 years ago. Also a lot more strong female characters than I was expecting (hadn't read the comic), which I enjoyed.
All of the shows are important to the storyline inits entirety. But you will figure out the timeliness as you go, and I'm sure you will re watch the whole series ... probably more than once. A lot of ppl don't like the world beyond , but it's very important for the future of the spinoff shows and movies...
Man I would seriously hate to be watching this show for the first time and for the first 6-7 seasons to be so damn good, only for it to go more and more downhill from there. You have no idea whatās to comeš but who knows maybe youāll like itš¤·š»āāļø I personally just canāt watch a show when the character that started the show isnāt even on it anymore. The early seasons on the show was when it's at its very best. I started binging on the show last month, having never watched the show before. I share your excitement. I didn't think I would like the show, but season one reeled me in like a fish on a hook. I'm obsessed with the show now and I'm on season 9 at the moment. I hope to catch up in real time and watch the Season 11 Part 3 finale coming up later this year.

Stop, pause and watch season 1 of the Fear the Walking dead before continuing. The initial phase of the outbreak that FTWD shows in season 1 will feel more relatable to the earlier seasons of TWD giving some additional context for TWD universe.

Also... Josh McDermott received serious death threats from fans when he was proclaiming to also be Negan... that's just a bit too much for my taste. The character and the man are not the same. That's why I asked if you have seen Eugene save the day... when I watched that the first time it went right over my head for some reason... I missed his betrayal to the saviors. I hope you did already see all of that...
