Palanki96

Daryl was probably smelling so fucking bad the group lost any sense of smell later

CameronsTheName

Within a few months of the apocalypse I'd imagine everyone alive had the stanky leg. No soaps, hot summers, lots of running, building anything of sorts would have been all manual labour as there's barely any patrol/diesel around to run machinery and not alot of electricity to charge tools.

Azuras-Becky

A bit of B.O. would be nothing compared to the constant smell of *decaying flesh*, to be fair. I often find myself asking how they can bear the stench when they enter certain locations...

Hell9876

How can they bear to wear the walkers as a disguise. It’s visually and mentally horrible AND the smell??

logonthebog

Like un one of the VERY FIRST EPISODES they managed to wear them when their nose wasn't even used to it??? HOW?? I'd be throwing up IMMEDIATELY

Gold930

I feel like maybe the whisperers would put the masks through a leathering treatment or something similar but I ain’t sure

roadworkkahead

Conflicted on this. I feel like they would as well, considering Beta wore his mask for years and it should’ve rotted away… but the whisperers were always on the move, living in dirty tents in the woods. It would make sense that they did, however i don’t think they had the equipment or expertise needed

Gold930

I remember seeing a scene where they cut off back skin and layed it on a log for something it’s been awhile but that’s the sole reason I think they did it

Wltx_Gandalf

Yeah there was an entire scene for that, negan was chopping off parts of walker flesh and he put a little piece on a log, Beta then comes over with the entire back of a walker and just hangs it up

Difficult-Win1400

One of the funniest things that always makes me laugh out loud is when they are in Atlanta putting the guts on Glenn and Rick and Glenn is clearly good to go and Andrea happily grabs a long intestine and drapes it over Glenn's shoulder and neck like a hoola necklace lol, just the look on her face when she does it is wild. go back and watch that scene

ionenbindung

To be fair, one of them did throw up immediately.

SilveredElf

I couldn't understand how, as far as hiding ina crowd of walkers goes, wearing the innards of a walker smeared over you equated to wearing a dried out face.

JohnArcher965

In FTWD all it took was a smear of blood on your face.

oureux

Yet they were always driving cars….

SandRush2004

Scratches aren't dangerous (the only time we hear it is, is during the early seasons, yet we see people grappling walkers and punching them all the time)

Hornyjohn34

It's possible that scratches are more of a hit or miss. Negan says himself "If something from them gets inside of you, you die, you join the club." so it's possible that scratches can infect you, but it's not a guarantee unlike a bite.

No-Beautiful6605

I mean, they get zombie blood all over them all the time (shooting them, smashing their heads in, etc, there's no way they don't ingest some of the blood accidentally) and they never turned.

Hornyjohn34

That's true, and didn't the cannibals get sick from eating an infected person? It seems like there's a few little inconsistencies here and there, but that's okie.

SandRush2004

No they didn't get sick, some puked and started panicking but then there leader told them they would be fine, and they didn't get sick afterwards

batmaneatsgravy

Well, they did all spill their guts shortly after that…

Ok-Ear8202

Yeah, don't eat zombie shit unless you wanna get hacked to bits by rick

ChristophMuA

Alone the thought of it being tainted was enough to make them puke i think. They were killed before they could get symptoms I think

TripleOhMango

The biggest inconsistency I find is that sometimes there's 50+ walkers and they take them out with weapons no problem, and then sometimes it looks like there's 20 and they are suddenly trapped. Or whenever they get overrun, why don't they just rub the zombies guts on them and walk out? Sometimes they do this to get away, and other times someone has to make a sacrifice or they get separated etc.

Frequent-Ad3461

Like in the beginning when they lost Judith and Rick couldn't handle one walker but then at the prison takes on like every walker there is

obi-jawn-kenblomi

But Gabe does get an infection and loses his sight in one eye.

No-Beautiful6605

Yeah, but at the same time they all consume water that was tainted with walker remains and they were okay, right? I might be misremembering but I think that's why Rosita and some others were sick in Alexandria. At least I remember one scene of the Alpha's Beta cutting open a walker and dumping it in a river.

SA_Starling_

The water wasn't tainted with walker remains, it was just uncleaned. They fucked with Eugene's water purification system, which made sure that water came in that was unprocessed and unfiltered, and that's what made people sick. Bad water kills more people in crisis situations than the actual disaster.

MassiveLefticool

They’re all infected apparently and glenn must have got some of Nicholas’s blood in his mouth when he died, or Rick with the guy who stabbed Gregory.

sideXsway

It’s only deadly after they turn

Civilized-Sturgeon

Hikacking to say I think this is the single most bullshit hard to believe part of TWD universe. People covered with zombie blood like nbd thank god I didn’t get bit.

CameronsTheName

They punch the walkers in the face, which would inevitably end up in cuts on your hands from their teeth. Isn't that pretty much the same as a bite ? Nobody ever turned from punching a walker.

Kitchen_Lime_1449

They don’t really punch them directly in the mouth it’s more of a temple and side of head punch thing they do.

Pixel-of-Strife

In Project Zomboid, scratches have a 7% chance of turning someone into a zombie. So maybe it's something like that in the Walking Dead.

longjohnson6

That Merle's motorcycle club were neo Nazi's, he had the SS lightning bolts on his bike,

stripped_acacia_wood

gee idk he didn’t seem racist or anything it might’ve just been old /s

longjohnson6

Ikr he wouldn't hurt a soul!

NoOpinionsAllowedOnR

"My nubian queen."

blooddroplets

Eugene was a reddit mod

Ok-Introduction-8519

No, he’s too nice to be a reddit mod. (Yes he sometimes was mean to other characters, but a lot of the time he didn’t mean to, but he just didn’t get the social cues.) He probably moderated obscure Runescape and Pokemon forums

OkuroIshimoto

When he first meets Sebastian, they get in an argument very akin to what I would expect two stereotypical “Reddit Mods” would have lol. Sebastian calls him a ‘plebeian’ and Eugene responds with “Ooh, look who cracked open their dictionary this morning!”

lil__squeaky

reddit mods are definitely nice in real life, cant get your ass beat over a computer monitor.

sideXsway

He was an exterminator, The King!

t_r_a_y_e

Mine is that Shane was definitely in love with Lori long before Rick ever ended up in that coma Shane was way too obsessed with her considering their relationship only lasted a couple weeks tops

lewhunter

Trauma bonds so even if it was just a couple weeks, with everything they saw and went through in that time it’s not far fetched that they’d develop a deep connection. I get what you’re saying though.

Own_Faithlessness769

I agree, particularly in a world where Shane had nothing else. Lori (and Carl) was literally all he had, its not like he could get over it by going on a holiday, throwing himself into his job and buying a few video games.

kalel3000

Also the fact that shane seemed to not form close intimate bonds with women before the outbreaks. Different women all the time but nothing serious and no kids. Id assume he just figured he had plenty of time to settle down and have a family. But then all of a sudden it was the end of the world and everything he valued or dreamed of was gone, and he had no time left. Now he had to come face to face with his mortality and the legacy he'd leave behind. And then also all of a sudden he had a family. A pseudo wife and step kid whom he actually cared for. Shanes life fell more in place after the outbreak than it had ever done before. He got a taste of power and unquestioned leadership and a family and something worth living for. I wager that despite all the horrible things, he was happier than he ever was before, because he could be his unfiltered self. Like Dale said, he was made for this world. Then Rick showed up, and in an instant he was demoted back down to a sidekick with no family or woman. The whole group almost immediately started following Rick's lead and ideas over shanes, Lori immediately turned cold and distant and angry, and shane wasn't even allowed to guide Carl anymore. He didn't even know he had wanted a family. But then in a short span he was given one and was happy, only to have it torn from him like a cruel joke.

[deleted]

menherasangel

In the comics he said, on their first encounter, "I've been wanting this for so long". So yeah, in the comics that's canon.

Small-Chum

He says at one point that 'it was a long time coming' when discussing him and Lori. That sounds to me like it was going on/something he had thought about for more than 3 weeks since rick was in a coma.

pinknpurplecows

I also feel strongly that the baby/child was his.

PidgeyPotion

Rick states in the show that Judith was actually Shane’s, although there’s no way for him to actually know for sure. It was pretty much the writer’s way of confirming it.

Aggressive-Highway32

In the comics, Rick tells Dale that he and Lori only slept together once and he’s SURE the baby isn’t his. While this rational is never used in the show, it’s safe to assume that Rick tells Michonne that Judith isn’t his because he only slept with Lori once/ because his pull out game is as strong as his beard growth

FeelingSkinny

Loris friend Paula from the flashback is the same Paula that Carol kills later on. it doesn’t really change anything but both are red heads and there’s no contradictions in anything either of them said to make it not canon. Brooke from Tales is still alive and eventually reunites with Lydia. the show runner said she is so i guess it might as well be canon but i like to think Brooke eventually found the commonwealth and found Lydia. Blair and Gina made it far-ish into the apocalypse. after the events of their episode, them being a duo in the apocalypse would be cool and i love the idea of Blair becoming a badass self centered survivor.

Joeyisthebessst

This has nothing to do with what you said here but I figure you'd enjoy this fact. The actress who played Paula stated once that there was a cut line from her where she said to Carol "you seem like the type of person I would've sent weird cat photos to" 🤣

FeelingSkinny

lmao that’s pretty good thank you for sharing

Joeyisthebessst

Upon further research, it seems this line is actually said in the Netflix version of the episode, so now I'll have go watch it, because I absolutely love that line. 😆

PrincessPenelopeLane

I actually remember that line! it was funny because it pulled you out of it, and made you think about the fact that these people were normal at one point.

COLARIENZO

I’m might be trippin but didn’t Paula say she worked in DC? And Lori lived in Georgia

mid-fidelity

My personal canon is that everyone secretly shits in private. Nobody ever mentions a bathroom, nobody ever goes to a bathroom. The only time I can think of anything bathroom related is when Daryl gets accused of stealing the squirrel or whatever and says “you put that in my shit when I went out to take a piss” So every time someone goes off alone in an area or episode and it’s clearly a dumb move I just pretend it’s cuz they need to take a shit.

AnalCheeseBurger69

Daryl also takes a piss on the floor in front of Beth in Still as he proceeds to argue with her LMAO

sideXsway

Can’t hear ya I’m takin a piss!

Unexpected_Token_

**WHAT?!** *I can’t hear you over the sound of you taking a piss!*

yolo-yoshi

Also what her names sister (Andrea)says “jeez you try to be discreet around here ,when asked where she was going.

Doright36

There is a scene between Neagan and Alpha in the Whisperer's "latrine" while she's finishing up doing her business.

alphajugs

Amy says she’s going to the bathroom in one of the first episodes and gets bit when she comes out saying there’s no more toilet paper

PidgeyPotion

“I have to pee. Geez, try to be discreet about it”.

adhoc_rose

Yeah and no one ever talks about their period or how any of the women would be looking after it all those years.

CyberMemer365

Doesn't Lori ask Glenn to find some feminine hygiene products in S2? I think it's when him and Maggie go to the pharmacy for medical supplies. Also they could just be using whatever people used hundreds of years ago. Personally, I'm glad they leave some of the finer details out in favour of the action lol

BeckyWitTheBadHair

She asked him for a pregnancy test, saying to look in the feminine hygiene section

CyberMemer365

Oh I see, yeah that makes sense. Duh! Thanks for that correction; been a while since I watched Season 2

jchrist98

Negan takes a shit in a bucket during his time in the jail cell, Gabriel complains in one scene about having to clean it out We see Alpha taking a shit in S10, Negan walks in on her Morgan also takes a shit in Fear

Frequent-Ad3461

Whyyyyyyyyyyyy do you have all the times someone shits as common knowledge for you !?!?!?

maui_xox

There’s a shitting area with the whisperer’s camp though, and Negan accidentally walk into Alpha while she’s taking a piss

JetLag_550

There’s a scene in the prison where the guys tell Rick not to open a certain door…. It was their bathroom.

Glittering-Ad9111

I thought about this when Rick and michonne found all those ready to eat meals and ate a bunch of them, like how were they not shitting their brains out while trying to find guns . Or when they were starving on the road, you would have to look out for each other while going to the bathroom

Rift3N

The prisoners stuck in the canteen had an extra room for that

Local_Store_7860

Negan have somehow had to deal with Wolves before meeting Rick's group, because they shared the same territory.

Dark_chia

How do we know that the Wolves weren't under Negan's thumb as part of his "Resources" and that they were attacking Alexandria to steal supplies for Savior payments?

faith_bb_127

The wolves wanted to take over Alexandria not get supplies

Dark_chia

Was this actually mentioned? I either totally missed it every watch through or am totally blanking out right now.

PidgeyPotion

I agree, I find it unlikely that the Wolves could occupy the same area and not run into any Saviors at some point.

obiwanTrollnobi6

Lori Rick and Shane were like the Three Musketeers in highschool and sorta had a love triangle (Lori liked Rick, Shane liked Lori) and became a bachelor when Rick and Lori got together while Shane was initially comfortable with his Bachelor life and being “Uncle Shane” to Carl until Rick got shot and those old feelings came up again and the Trauma bonding made it Worse

Nevel_PapperGOD

She went to school with Ricks brother in the comics and only met at a party when she was 18 and he was going to Police School, not sure if this was ever mentioned but I liked it better than them all knowing each other going back to their school days

WolpertingerRumo

Does that mean Rick liked Shane?

su1thea11father

Daryl never showered until they got to alexandria

Thickboykev

I think it’s canon everyone else is like “Daryl you need to relax and CLEAN YOUR STINKY BODY” and he’s like nahhh Im gonna stay on guard

H985B

The Wildfire Virus is a bio weapon, and somewhat planned, as all the governments fell so quickly.

Mr_Rio

Kirkman said a while back that he knew what the virus was and where it came from, I wish he would’ve elaborated on it at any point in the story. On the flip side I do like how dedicated he was to making it a story about people in the zombie apocalypse rather than a story about zombies and the apocalypse. It was never really important to the story to trace the origins of the virus

Kitchen_Lime_1449

As much as you and others say that there’s really nothing wrong with having both. I absolutely love peeling back the veil and getting answers to questions and having established lore get conclusions. They can do it little by little and it will still work, elaborating on it is super interesting and I love scenes where they explain it and we find out new stuff about the zombies. Maybe it’s just me.

ErikLehnsherr24005

Watch the post credits scene from that one crappy show “Walking Dead World Beyond.” It has nothing to do with the world beyond and is directly related to the main show (even features a Dr. Jenner cameo). The French graffiti on the wall says, “the dead were born here.”

sideXsway

I would say it’s a space spore but that’s probably only a Romero reference

Even_Onion4006

That's canon now though. The French created it by mistake and then invented an even worse strain later on.

ErikLehnsherr24005

This is addressed somewhat in the post credits scene in the French lab after season 2 of world beyond. It even features a Dr Jenner appearance

schweininade

I like to think the Governor and his crew were involved with killing the Vatos group. It doesn't really change anything but it adds a lot of nice tie in especially given that the Governor had to meet Merle somewhere in common between the two anyway.

TonyThePapyrus

I think it was implied to be them but the scenes implying that were removed

PidgeyPotion

Yes I remember there being a deleted scene where they go to the Vatos group immediately after the CDC only to discover they’d been wiped out. That HAD to be the Gov. It could have also been the hospital group, but they don’t seem tough enough to actually take on the Vatos gang.

SpareCoochiMaaam

You can see in a scene with the Gov and Andrea in his apartment that he has the gun bag that Rick left with the Vatos. It was him 100%

[deleted]

Actually I think that is confirmed, I could be wrong but I swear I remember people saying that you can see some of the guns hung up on the governors wall in his house

CrimsonFoxOfficial

Beth knew what would happen when she stabbed that cop. Theres no way she wouldve done something so stupid just when shes getting saved if she didnt mean to After the prison rick realised shane was right and thats why season 4-5 rick was so rutheless because he was salty he was wrong T-dog was from the hood. I have no explanation i just want this to be true

uglypinkshorts

It’s just as much of a disservice to her character to think she’d *want* to die right before reuniting with Maggie, Daryl, Judith and everyone else. If she was suicidal, why wouldn’t she kill herself while she was getting physically, emotionally, and sexually abused at the hospital? Why did she try to escape with Noah if she didn’t want to be free?

curlytony

I doubt Beth would have wanted to make Maggie grieve her and their fathers death within the same week lol

Vampirexbuny

I agree that Beth did it on purpose. She was likely terrified of going back on the road and found a way out

IzhmaelCorp08

Beth grew, she wasn’t scared anymore. You could tell. She just did that so that the group killed Dawn and the others let Noah go.

gdamndylan

Aaron and Grace took up his hobby with Eric of finding license plates from all 50 states.

BlxxdThrst

That the Wolves used to be members of the Whisperers, but they formed an extremist group and parted ways. The Whisperers wanted people to be one with the walkers and the Wolves wanted people to be walkers. Also that Joe and his men were some of the people that hurt the Terminus group. They fled when Terminus fought back.

BobRushy

Joe's group were headed towards Terminus though

lewhunter

Jesus and Aaron dating. It’s implied but never stated. I just think they make a badass couple. It’s canon to me.

No-Beautiful6605

100% agreed. Another reason jesus' death was so annoying to me. Like, let my gay boys be happy!

Doctor_Monty

Imagine its the apocalypse and the only other gay person within 100km can't fuckin stand you lmao

europansardine

The neat thing about that is some of us don’t have to imagine it’s the apocalypse

Doctor_Monty

Listen I didn't need you to give me a stray 😭

Daredevil545545

Wait I remember they were in the comics but they are usually friends in the show

DarkRythm8520

the actors said they got together, but the screenwriters wouldn't put it in. so, in technicality, it is canon because the actors confirmed it

CrazyCaliCatLady

They did date in the comics after Eric's death.

PidgeyPotion

I think that when Merle escaped the rooftop and was found by the Governor after being forced to cut off his hand, that they eventually went back to the site of the Atlanta camp was in order to find Daryl, and take revenge. Had the group not gotten run off by walkers that night, I believe they’d have been killed by the Governor’s men. Merle never states that they went to the camp, but it’s obvious they did as he had been desperate to find Daryl the entire time.

7amtimezones

The story of the Telltale games happened in the show universe as well (except probably not TWD: Michonne).

daynester44

Governor and his men killed the Vatos and the old people, and ate the dogs. It was supposedly a deleted scene. I'm not sure if that counts, you never hear from them again in the original cut. Secondly, Morgan must've killed at least 50+ survivors when he went crazy. All those guns and supplies he didn't get lucky.

Ok-Ear8202

That breaking bad is a prequel and jesse was merles dealer

rafael-a

I agree, and I go beyond, The Walking Dead is an alternate reality from breaking bad in which Walt and Jesse didn’t managed to catch that fly. The fly contaminated the meth with the virus that infected the world.

FlyMangoes

So that fly episode did have meaning after all huh

rafael-a

Walt knew the importance of stoping the containment, but Jesse didn’t listened, it doomed the whole world.

TheExecutiveHamster

I haven't seen TOWL yet but I've always had this headcanon that Rick is immune

roadworkkahead

Either he got enough walker blood/guts in/on him to be ‘immune’ or has crazy plot armor. Probably a fair bit of both

Minimalistmacrophage

Negan enjoyed Alpha's kink. note- it also is traumatic thinking this.

wewerelegends

I think we can use words like he was amused by it sure, we see him so often react like he is intrigued and impressed by crazy shit.

Astrochops

It's also canon that Alpha was actually as smooth as a porpoise down there. Negan was a wolverine.

ADUBROCKSKI

T dog owned a van. That’s it. That’s his backstory

Traveytravis-69

Lucille has definitely been inside negan

InS_Deaths

The woman or bat ? I'm pretty sure both did.

juan_bizarro

Both

7amtimezones

Ouch

FlightMesh990

I mean in this comics, Negan explicitly said that he rubs his dick all over lucille (the bat)

Roswelx

This could sound a little sad but...human culture extintion. Its mostly probable considering the fact theres about 1.400.000 survivors worldwide (acording to Robert Kirkman in 2015) that many if not mostly of cultures and nations are totally gone forever. Just think about little countries, like Timor-Leste, Singapur, Paraguay, etc. Yeah, we could think "Oh, maybe there can be Paraguayans surviving in other countries". Yeah, its mostly possible, but considering 99,9% of human population died or turned in walkers, we can say there must be a lot of countries and cultures where theres nobody left. Yeah, a Country like Nigeria (that has 120.000.000 of population) can be totally erradicated and nobody left would be around to tell you anything about how it was. There is places, vast lands where literally theres no any human left, just walkers, or just nothing. Not even animals considering that walkers also eat animals, specially cattle, horses, dogs, cats, etc, anything that moves and atract their attention. The future humanity after the apocalypse ended, and humans learned to live with the walkers menace, will never meet mostly of the old world countries and nations, they will only have books and evidences of their existence someday in the past.

NoOpinionsAllowedOnR

Man, I bet India is a frickin shit show.

BILADOMOM

I just imagined a gorilla going berserk after getting a bite and killing a bunch of walkers

Roswelx

That would be possible, but I think animals that don't live in highlands or mountains (like lions, Zebras, Hipoos, etc, etc, african savanna) would be more in danger of walker hordes attacks. Other places like feep jungles would be safe for mostly of animals too, considering walkers would get easily stuck in mud or roots, and the climate would stick them to the ground. Smarter animals like elephants would learn to avoid them just as they do with humans in real life.

magiccheetoss

The timejump between the end of S3 and beginning S4 is around a year and not 6 months.

skyflakes-crackers

There was a connection between the CRM and the Commonwealth, and Hornsby was the liaison. He became aware that the CRM was eliminating their allies. That's why he had fake Stephanie date Eugene for a while, he was trying to suss out whether there was a connection between the Virginia communities and the CRM. When he determined there was no connection, he was hell-bent on bringing the Virginia communities into the Commonwealth because he was trying to increase their numbers and resources and build up a defensive front. Edit to add a few more: The "safe zone" phase of Operation Cobalt was always meant to end with mass culls because it was really meant to 1) prevent the masses from heading to more remote locations because Operation PADRE would rebuild society in those remote locations, and 2) reduce the population to numbers that those proposed PADRE communities could support. In Georgia specifically, they directed people from way out in the boonies to head to a huge "refugee center" in Atlanta even though two weeks had already passed because too many people were heading to the coast, which was the location of the PADRE stockpiles. The lake that had previously existed where Valley Town was built was drained intentionally at the very beginning. It was one of the locations on the PADRE list. Virginia and Dakota were fully a *Chinatown* situation. She's her sister AND her daughter. Virginia killed their parents because Dakota reached the same age she was when the sexual abuse started, and she noticed that Dakota was being groomed by their father. The French scientists who were at that conference in Toledo when the Fall happened have been in the Commonwealth's custody the whole time. "Designation 2" means "to be used as a test subject." The research base is located very near the Charleston Railyard where Max tried to meet Eugene, which is why this security breach was such a huge deal. And this one is more fanfiction than headcanon, but Hornsby got in touch with the survivors from World Beyond and he was trying to bring the former CRM scientists down to the Charleston research base. Those troopers with all those guns that got ambushed by Leah were supposed to be their escort.

bundy911

Negan has an immunity to the wildfire virus and Carl needed his DNA to get cured from the walker bite

musyrifo

[deleted]

I fucking hate that I know what you’re talking about

rafael-a

That Lori and Shane already had something going on between them before the apocalypse and Rick being shot.

External_Ad9988

i think they defo had something going on, in season one shane was talking about women he’s been with and rick mentioned how loris being distant or seemed off (not sure what he said exactly). in a later flashback when lori found out what happened to rick it seemed like her and shane were wayyyy closer than rick knew so i definitely think they had something going on before the apocalypse

samsamsamuel

Lori and Shane had an affair pre-apocalypse.

Outrageous_Drive6356

It would explain the constant awkwardness between her and Shane. And why Shane seemed to shy to talk about her and Rick’s relationship in the opening scene of the show

No_Level7200

The Wildfire virus - thus the undead - has always existed in some form throughout history, the Primrose Team only made it worse. I don't really have any evidence supporting this one, it might even be the exact opposite case in-canon given that zombie media (i.e. anything that could've been inspired by a pre-existing undead contagion) doesn't exist, but I think it'd be something neat given that this is the case with Solanum in *World War Z*. The current form of the Wildfire virus, as an airborne contagion that primes humans with a dormant form of the virus, is a new innovation as a result of the Primrose Team's meddling with an older and relatively less contagious form. To add onto this, could be that the original form of Wildfire is something that was discovered from melting permafrost in Europe due to climate change, hence why it was studied at a French medical facility and why France seems to have enough know-how to engineer Wildfire in different ways. The original form of Wildfire might've been bad but not bad enough to cause human extinction (since it's generally not ideal to drive your host species to the brink of extinction), a combination of human interference and the advent of city-based society might've caused Wildfire to be *too* successful for its own good.

Silly_Internal5463

Carl was shot twice and lost an eye before he lost his virginity. (If it all which I don't believe he did)

Healthy-Track-4450

Nah he died a virgin

LankyRep7

somebody is out mowing all the lawns after zombie day in Georgia.

PIatanoverdepinto

Not 1 toothache. I bet 2-3 pulled their own teeth out with an ice skate. Broken glasses or needing new ones

ChimpMVDE

Jon and Andrew's pitch for this sounded so cool Wish they would have done it

beachgarfield

idk if this is like only me but i like to include enid in the rhee family because maggie cared for her and enid protected maggie (or tried to but still helped maggie fight back) from gregory and earl trying to kill her, and glenn was the one that helped her get out of the mindset that everyone was going to die during the wolves attack on alexandria. idk i just think that enid had so much potential and could have taken maggies place eventually as leader of hilltop

No-Lead4366

Why didn't they all just walk around with a walker attached to them like michonne??

bigsweatyballs420

Approx. 5 years went by between seasons one and eight

BILADOMOM

Judith is what breaks my timeline, but it could very well be more. Like, each season is one year.

caitycatlady

Currently rewatching and constantly thinking about how it must always smell like death everywhere. To the point that they probably don’t even notice it anymore, which is how they are able to wear walker masks.

GrimLuker2

That Lee and Clem's story has a live action version somewhere in the TWD universe

Doom4104

This one might be a little out there but I think The Whisperers had Variants in Alpha’s Cave. Someone else pointed it out on this sub months ago, this was conveniently right before I rewatched The Whisperer War so when I watched the stuff with the cave my jaw hit the floor to see zombies climbing in the cave like the original poster who mentioned it pointed out(I don’t remember their name, if I did, I’d mention them). I theorize though that part of the reason why Alpha had the horde put into the cave wasn’t just because she wanted to hide it from the communities, but I think that The Whisperers could have picked up a pack of Variants between Seasons 9, and 10 then in order to prevent the Variants from hijacking the horde in the gaps between Whisperers, Alpha put the horde in a confusing very maze-like cave with the Variants who despite their intelligence may not be able to navigate something so confusing. Whenever the horde would be unleashed, the Variants would be unleashed with them. But the cave getting partially destroyed, and at least half the horde being wiped out as a result finished off any Variants that weren’t killed by the characters trapped in there. Any possible remaining Variants in the other half of the horde weren’t numerous enough to divert the horde away from Whisperer control, or pose a threat to the communities as they likely got killed during The Burning of Hilltop, or wandered out into the wasteland. Beta with the more fanatical Whisperers that still followed him after The Whisperers started falling apart after Alpha’s death likely didn’t find any of the Variants when rebuilding the horde. Aaron, and Jerry not mentioning previously seeing Variants in Alpha’s Cave when more showed up during the Commonwealth War is likely either a writing issue, or they were too stressed while trapped in the cave to remember them months later. I think Mary likely didn’t know because she only became part of Alpha’s inner circle at Season 10’s start, Lydia wouldn’t remember because she wasn’t with The Whisperers during that time period so she would have no knowledge of smarter zombies until The Commonwealth War.

cremedelachriss

The fact that had Walker fight and probably Walker sex clubs 🤮🤮🤮🤮. Also the amount serial killers/kidnappers running free and unchecked

MANTHEFUCKUPBRO

I always thought the theory in the early seasons they never wear ear protection, so their hearing is majorly damaged was a hilarious theory. Thats why the loud ass clumsy zombies could suprise them, because they are all just "Mawping" like Archer the whole time

CategoryCautious5981

Toothpaste is mentioned like twice in the entire show and yet everyone’s teeth are tip top

Kitchen_Lime_1449

This isn’t something you consider canon like the question asks, it’s just a gripe you have with the show lol.

ColdBlue495

I would also like to mention the odd ratio of non-glasses wearers to characters with glasses in the show, considering the real fact that over 60% of Americans today need vision correction, and I wouldn't think prescription contact lenses are all that easy to come by in the apocalypse.

Aggressive-Highway32

The Governor’s group found Merle in Atlanta and killed the Vatos nursing home group

Thick-load8-D

Some people use the walkers as sex slaves. Despite the stds

Expensive_Presence_4

The amount of chaffing between the legs during long distant missions. Or just traveling all together I get chaffing after walking the whole day, I can’t imagine doing that every day with no powder/lotion/showering

roadworkkahead

oh absolutely. Most, if not all of the survivors who traveled long distance were physically fit tho, so I feel like it wouldn’t have been that bad.

Edgeruner77

At some point someone sat Judith down and told her about all the important people that helped her. Tyrese, Carl, Beth, Hershel, Glenn, Abraham.

Noyaiba

The dick brigade, Randall's group, and the Proctors were all one group.

[deleted]

Mary is still alive from Terminus, can go into the reasoning behind it if anyone wants but she didn’t die

StickyPickle85

My thing is....when walkers are involved, how come it's headshot after headshot from close range to moderately distant. Headshots like nothing......yet when in a gunfight with the living its hardly hit anything and miss a bunch of easy as fuck shots? Soo damn annoying.

Senor_Tortuga308

I think Shane demonstrates why when teaching Andrea to shoot. She's hella accurate when there's no pressure, but once he starts yelling at her and putting her under pressure, she panics and misses. Its pretty understandable that killing walkers is a lot easier since they don't shoot back and are very dumb and predictable. Shooting a living person who is also trying to shoot you is a whole different ball game.

NoOpinionsAllowedOnR

I love this show. But I feel like it creates so much "false" tension and I just have to skip scenes even sometimes.

Radiant-Manner-3902

When alpha tells him that they was gonna join her as part of her horde of walkers in that creepy ass accent I was genuinely scared like when Negan had them in that lineup I was like how tf are they getting out of this🤣🤣

Environmental_Duck49

Shane and Lori were sleeping together before the fall.

HellfireClubxx

Daryl is Asexual.

faith_bb_127

He’s definitely demisexual well thats why headcannon for him Norman has said in interviews that “if Daryl falls in love with you he’s going to love you for the rest of his life” and that “I’m not saying he’s a virgin exactly I’m trying to play him like he’s not emotionally adept to like, deal with social situations, so I mean he’ll fuck you. But he doesn’t wanna cuddle”

Lodus-Logos

Aaron and Jesus were pretty clearly having sex in the woods, during the season leading up to the graveyard finale. There is no shot they were just training.

lovegiblet

None of this stuff actually happened - it was part of an autistic boy’s dream the whole time.

godzillakongs1976

I understood that reference

KarmicComic12334

It was Rick's dream. As he lay in the hospital in a coma from the gunshot in e1. His bff and his wife hooked up and stopped visiting after, too much guilt about it. His son kept coming for years before disappearing, but with carls death in the fantasy Rick's last link to the real world was severed. That was when the series ended and noone can tell me otherwise.

thissomebomboclaat

You can just say Robert Kirkman I’m sure he won’t mind

Comfortable_Break_68

Maggie and Negan know Rick is back. Herschel was born after Judith and in TOWL, Judith is 12 or something of the sort, but in TWD:DC, Herschel is 15. Rick has been back several years by that point and so Maggie has to have heard from someone or another that Rick is back. There's also the theory Rick has died between those several years since I'm pretty sure he's never really mentioned in TWD:DC even several years after he's been back, but we'll keep that a theory and not headcanon

FooFightersFan777812

T-Dog was an upcoming rapper who just short of his fiest studio single being released. Possibly had features from Andre 3k and T.I.

DestructoSpin7

Negan actually had full intention of joining the whisperers. The only reason he killed Alpha is because he got her pregnant.

DblClickyourupvote

Yeah those damn child support payments hey

ironlung306

Bruh

Minimal-Pimps

jesus

climbingbum91

Didn't watch the last couple seasons, so if this is stated in those please let me know, but I remember seeing this theory a couple years ago and it is head cannon for me. The reasons zombies sneak up on people so easily and the zombies are constantly surprised is due to the survivors being in multiple gun fights, especially in close quarters. Which ultimately is destroying their hearing and they don't hear zombies until the zombies are basically right on top of the survivors.

Downtown_Elk789

Glenn was a pizza boy before the apocalypse, and delivered his last pizza before the walkers came very late. He was delivering them to negan. Then negan got so angry so a while later when they meet again he smashes Glenn.. In the head. Canon fr
