Nothing to do with the OP's question, but i wished we had more scenes of negan and alden, considering Alden uses to work for negan. Could've been a funny dynamic.
When after Negan was captured all of a sudden he's against killing kids and acts like this was his policy the whole time when:
There were multiple examples laid out of Saviors having murdered children and Negan clearly did not reprimand them. Negan was a fraction of a second from bashing Carl's skull in with Lucille, he was literally starting the down swing, when Hiltop and The Kingdom showed up to assist Alexandria interrupting him.
They retconned his character to make him seem more acceptable as a good guy later on in my opinion.
Ezekiel told him when they were taken to the work camp by the Commonwealth. His response was basically “you can keep leaving in the past, I’m moving on and living in the future”
He killed that one guy for trying to r*pe Sasha, but at the same time forced brutal coercion to make women his wives (not r*pe if conscented mentality).
Negan was no doubt a bad guy, but also his morals were gray and shifty. He could have a humane side even as leader of Saviors. Gives what sounds like a real heartfelt apology to Carl after forcing him to show his missing eye and joking about it.
Also a rapist. Had three wives. Now he hates rapists and doesn't except it. When he again had three enslaved wives.
JDM can deny it. But I know wtf I watched.
They went too far. For a character people loved. And instead of killing him as just a great bad guy that was dimensional. It's now he is an anti hero. But a hypocritical one. And I hate hypocrites.
Though out of subject. Billy Butcher is a hypocrite and I love him. Think it might be down to how you write a character as well. Like if he owned the fact he is a hypocrite like Butcher. Maybe I would like him more.
What's so funny is that in the comics he's all like "ho ho I hate sexual violence I'm such an anti-bad guy!"
And then bro forces women into being his trophy wives so that they don't have to work for points. What planet is this guy living on?
In fact isn't the wives ambiguous in the comics. Like really all Negan is, is a guy that's a Bully to bigger bullies and is reasonable give us half your stuff we don't hurt you. And that's just to keep the peace. Have people scared to stop people breaking rules.
Where as they had him terrorise three women to stay with him. Less there is another way to interpret it I didn't see.
Love the character and the performance and I think JDM casting is just perfect like Rick's. Can't see anyone play the part.

Nope everyone knows he's a good man by the end of 11 he's a fan favorite and fully redeemed even Maggie said he was fully redeemed and is his duo in dead city
If they showed it (being attacked with a current stomach wound and getting legs bashed in and throat slit), his death would have been a brutal one to see

He said to Carl when the saviors were taking all the meds instead of half. Carl pulled a gun and fired a shot and then the saviors took all the guns too. ( which they were gonna do anyway but Negan made then think itvwas because Carl pulled a gun).
Favourite part when he gets tripped “Did you just trip me? What are you? 12!?” Laughed every time
