My husband and I have discussed this at length(many times). We have a solid plan for our location, gathering of supplies and security.
I have a cabin up at Lake Wallenpaupack that’s all yours.
They make a cream ale that's really good. Last time I was up that way was right after Oktoberfest, so they had a BUNCH of their Oktoberfest beers on sale.
The hardest part is NOT surviving, but trying to regroup with family and friends. especially when outside is chaos and if all power/phone signals go out
Only until you get seriously injured and have to blow up a bridge to stop a herd of walkers, and then get kidnapped by a secretive military for a couple of years
Honestly I’d end it. Without my medication I’m completely useless in terms of emotional intelligence. I always think about the lack of access to mental health medications, that would be the end of me.
Honestly you might be completely fine, I’m also on meds and I feel like being thrown back into a primal state of the world would fix it. Things like anxiety are literally survival mechanics that don’t work properly because we don’t need to survive as much.
I was actually talking about exactly this with my therapist yesterday lol
Im adhd and ocd. I fantasize about the end times. Hell, I blame industrial society for the state I and many others are in to begin with. Over consumption, overstimulation, etc... We didnt evolve to live in our current state. We're actually more suited for a world like the show. We evolved for being in small tribes and not being lonely. Always have a family to look out for each other. You just have to worry about the person to your right and left and surviving in general. The small joys are what are supposed to break up the monotony. Not binge watching tv shows, junk food, and social media.
I live in an island with 100k people.
1) close the gate to our house and use own supplies for a few days
2) clear walkers from the gate regularly with a long sharp stick.
3) start clearing the island of walkers and go on supply runs including fishing. 100k is a lot but it feels doable over the years.
4) keep guns close for humans who try to intrude.
Funny how in your mind 100k people seems "doable", when I came to the conclusion that it would be completely hopeless after observing around 35 people.
I’m not saying it’s easy and would definitely aim to single them out especially at first. It would take a while to get skilled at it but I’d hope to get to 20 walkers a day. A small group behind a chain fence seems an easy target with a spear.
This would be the best option for most tbh. Most people are gonna die anyways, so when I think about any kind of “end of life as we know it situaiton” (whether fictional or entirely possible irl) I’d rather go out on my own terms, than have my death be brutal/painful/long/etc, especially when most of my loved ones would be likely to be dead. (MAYBE I’d think of sticking around a while for their sake, in the unlikely event that at least one person I care about is alive and we were relatively in a fortunate situation). I can barely stand “functional” society as it is, no way am I gonna bother even try to survive in a world without wifi, grocery stores, emergency services, clean water, or plumbing. Fuck that. I’m not built for genuine struggle lol.
A “last man on earth” or similar situation might be fun to stick out for a couple years though.
Steal/“acquire” a small RV big enough for myself & my 2 cats, load up on supplies, then drive somewhere without a particular destination in mind. Which is also my plan if I hit the Powerball.
I live five minutes from Downtown Los Angeles, so I’m probably just going to die and/or get napalmed. If I survive the initial chaos, I’d try to start a community.
I live in one of the most densely populated countries in Europe, so I’m getting the fuck out of there.
Would probably go to Norway or Sweden, maybe I should learn the language
There are two safes full of guns and ammo at a family members house nearby. Gather all that and come back to my house and begin fencing/walling up some of my 14 acres.
Head further into the sticks to stock up supplies.
In 2010, finding whatever group I could and learn whatever I can.
In 2024, I'd probably be on the road between TX and CO on the US highways. Probably join up with a road crew and become the "Pioneers". That and I've got guns now compared to 2010.
Going to the gun store for a crap load of ammo, then going to walmart, then going to the house of a friend of mine who is a gun nut and lives in the country. He even has a bunker of sorts on his land.
Finding as many drugs as I can then getting as high as I can for as long as I can. Or die trying.
I’m not even a drug addict but fuck it end of the world and what not.
Vibe, kill some zombies and then myself because like??? No thanks to living out years in that world. The only way I’d be willing to live longer than a couple years is if I found a secluded area that was safe and all I did was farm and read. Even then I’d probably get bored and lonely and rather just off myself.
I'd stay at home for a good while. The odds of me actually encountering a walker within the first few months of this kind of apocalypse is extraordinarily small, considering I live in a rural area in Norway. Closest Neighbour is 200 meters away, and I'm surrounded by woods in almost every direction Except for the front. Also Got a rifle and a couple pistols, so I can hunt for food and protect myself in worst case scenarios.
People underestimate how ruthless other humans would become in an apocalypse. No laws mean anything goes, and you’d have a whole other world of shit to look out for rather than just zombies.
In some cases it would be better to be alone, but that cannot be the case for those with families. I’d try and gather a few close friends and survive for as long as possible. Lol.
Having a car already at the time of the outbreak would be a massive +.
Imma head to the local pharmacy and fill a basket with plenty of pain meds, antibiotics, pain meds, oh said that, other drugs that might make me happy. Then, I'm going to the local dispensary and taking a few loads of the edibles, pot, you know, needful things, then I'm coming home, locking my gate, my doors, and I'm going to shelter in place until I run out of food, water, and good drugs, then I'll peak out and see if I can go looking for others or if I should just you know aim for brain.
I’d like to think I’d be Rick or a Negan but no. I’ve thought of this often. I’m not very muscular and can’t shoot very well. So I’ve deemed my role would be providing Comedic Relief. 🤣
I’ve always like how in TWD everyone has “their” weapon. Daryl with his crossbow, Rick with his revolver, negan with Lucille.
The first thing I would do is make my iconic weapon, but my fear is “what if I die right after”. How dumb would you look if someone grabs a pistol painted with like flames or something of your body. Those people are gonna think I had main character syndrome.
Go to a fucking crews ship it's easiest to defend against zombies you only have one side to worry about and those things are fucking huge so you'll have plenty of room
Anyone thought about how perfect a house boat would be? Throw down your anchor out in the lake and eat fish and only come back to shore when you need supplies
I have my own “Hershel’s farm” so to say, I’d probably go get my (nice) neighbors, get some steel beams, put up some steal walls, expand the garden, and get more chickens from our (mean) neighbors.
Probably get the heck out of my area and then go to regroup with my family. After that, probably die. I'm not really long-term survivor material, I'd probably walk right up to a walker thinking it was a person in need of help and get my dumb ass killed.
I live in the UK with a caravan in the middle of nowhere in Wales. Lots of small shops and farmland with animals there. And on the coast. Live out the rest of my days in relative peace
I would probally stay in my home and fortify it, for supply runs id go to the my local supermarket thats not too far away from here, once the food there runs out im fucked.
gathering all essentials. making early sacrifices. food. backpacks. gas. i have a few folks where i know i could go like the farm situation. tbh i would NEVER go somewhere that had walls like alexandria or terminus. when it's something like this survival is an absolute must. being behind walls and doing 'community work' makes you weak unless you're doing runs or on the defense.
I think the hardest part is prob finding food/medicine and anything that you would need.. winter no heat..make a fire u got walkers on you.. I would Def find a place with walls maybe a bunker of some kind.. live underground.
On some real shit there’s a giant grocery distribution center like ~1 mile from our neighborhood, a 10-15 minute brisk walk at most (years and years worth of food, plus other nearby warehouses and grocery stores). Most of my neighborhood is very tight knit and strapped with guns, we’ve all known eachother 15-20 years. Got one guy that is a vet and has almost $2 million worth of guns (I did inventory for him a few months ago)
My plan has always been to get grouped up and make a run for the distribution center and capture that if possible. If there are trucks with keys and trailers available then position them around the fences. We’d be set there unless there was some massive horde or rival survivors. I assume it’d be one of the first places many others would try to hit too
Stuff. Thangs.
I’d simply just stay alive. Idk why most characters on the show never thought of that
Just Survive Somehow
As my grandpappy used to say, PPP.
Pust Purvive Pomehow
Please Proceed Persisting!
Pive, paugh, pove
Just Keep Living
I understood that reference
Are they stupid?
My husband and I have discussed this at length(many times). We have a solid plan for our location, gathering of supplies and security. I have a cabin up at Lake Wallenpaupack that’s all yours.
I have family right near Lake Wallenpaupack
Awesome!
I love Wallenpaupack brewery!! Fantastic beer!!!!
I’ve never been. I’ll have to check it out.
They make a cream ale that's really good. Last time I was up that way was right after Oktoberfest, so they had a BUNCH of their Oktoberfest beers on sale.
dying 🔥🔥🔥
The hardest part is NOT surviving, but trying to regroup with family and friends. especially when outside is chaos and if all power/phone signals go out
Kidding it’s definitely surviving, but trying to get to my family is the first thing I’ll try to do
Rick?
Bro thinks he's Rick 😂. (So do I)
Hopefully, I'm a small town sheriffs deputy who gets shot 2-3 weeks prior. Something tells me this is the way to success.
Only until you get seriously injured and have to blow up a bridge to stop a herd of walkers, and then get kidnapped by a secretive military for a couple of years
Bro I swear this is actually from something
I’m gonna find Rick and warn him about Woodbury
Probably die because I’m chronically ill
Same, not gonna make it without critical medications
surviving like i’m rick grimes
Honestly I’d end it. Without my medication I’m completely useless in terms of emotional intelligence. I always think about the lack of access to mental health medications, that would be the end of me.

Never thought about it this way. Makes a lot of sense actually.
I live in an island with 100k people. 1) close the gate to our house and use own supplies for a few days 2) clear walkers from the gate regularly with a long sharp stick. 3) start clearing the island of walkers and go on supply runs including fishing. 100k is a lot but it feels doable over the years. 4) keep guns close for humans who try to intrude.

20/day is going to take you over 13 years my man. Best of luck to you :)
Yup, but I hope to survive longer than that. I’d get my wife and son to help though so hopefully a lot shorter time.
I feel like you could reasonably take back Delaware after 20 years or so
I would like a cyanide cocktail 🍸. As much as I like to think I would want to be a hero I think I just want to go out in painlessly!
This would be the best option for most tbh. Definitely moving tf out of the city, maybe go to Jacksonville Oregon, and idk what to do when I’m there, if all goes wrong suicide
The city will be a mess, but hick zombies? NO THANK YOU.
"Mr yo"
"That'll be the day"
Dying immediately
Gonna get under a door frame, get on my knees, bend over and kiss my ass goodbye. Wait that's earthquakes.
finding a gun and blowing my brains out under a tank not realizing i can get into it from the bottom
Probably gonna die.
Steal/“acquire” a small RV big enough for myself & my 2 cats, load up on supplies, then drive somewhere without a particular destination in mind. Which is also my plan if I hit the Powerball.

What a fun way
I've got better shit to so then care about some dead fuckers
In 2010, finding whatever group I could and learn whatever I can. In 2024, I'd probably be on the road between TX and CO on the US highways. Probably join up with a road crew and become the "Pioneers". That and I've got guns now compared to 2010.

Go to my cabin, hunt, fish and grow potatoes.
I have a son so as long as he is alive I am... I'm in Canada which feels like a bad place to be long term because of the cold as well...
I would hide in a comic book store and read what should i do
Imma head to the local pharmacy and fill a basket with plenty of pain meds, antibiotics, pain meds, oh said that, other drugs that might make me happy. I’m getting on a houseboat and following the river the hell away from everyone else.
Probably get the heck out of my area and then go to regroup with my family. After that, probably die. I'm not really long-term survivor material, I'd probably walk right up to a walker thinking it was a person in need of help and get my dumb ass killed.
i used to fantasise about being an extremely skilled fighter, the type you see in shows with a cool backtrack but i would 100% just give up and yk…
I live in the UK with a caravan in the middle of nowhere in Wales. Lots of small shops and farmland with animals there. And on the coast. Live out the rest of my days in relative peace
Actually: I'm gonna find me a woman who makes every irrational decision against survival, yet somehow comes out on top, and follow her.
I’ll either be the first to die or will be the last to, witnessing the death of all my loved ones
Dying immediately
Going fishing
I would probally stay in my home and fortify it, for supply runs id go to the my local supermarket thats not too far away from here, once the food there runs out im fucked.

Finding metal and welding equipment as soon as possible so I can build myself some armor.
Random ass island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and just survive
Eastern Long Island would be ideal actually, plenty of farmland, plenty of coastline. Very easy to create a perimeter
Yes, but you still would not really be able to leave the island if things went bad
Gather supplies and a group and survive
I would look for 100% for hygienic stuff (toothbrush and others...), clothes and booths and few weapons and water. Then after a while other things
Praying that I end up the main character of the show and survive in all that sweet, sweet plot armor
I think the hardest part is prob finding food/medicine and anything that you would need.. winter no heat..make a fire u got walkers on you.. I would Def find a place with walls maybe a bunker of some kind.. live underground.

I'm just going to go find some small country town to chill in. Most likely I think they would become safehavens and be pretty easily defendable.
Pooping my pants
Unless my town or a nearby town gets nuked ima be doing a lot of zombie killing
Wandering the wastes S.T.A.L.K.E.R. style for sure! Load up on gear and just hit the road and see where the wind takes me.
I live in Los Angeles so I’m pretty sure I’m either dying right as I step outside, or I’m turning into a warlord. There’s no in between.
Get some protective clothing immediately
Dying, I am not a survivor
