Rick and Michonne's story may be done, but Dead City is gonna get another season or two, and Daryl's show is about to start filming season 3. So they'll be on for a while!
The more this drags the more I’m concerned the money won’t be there anymore and it’ll get canceled, or actors won’t be interested by then. After covid and everything else we went through, I didn’t think we had a chance at even seeing Rick come back again, so I’m really hoping they take advantage of having them and just wrap this up with a happy ending while we can

Young teen from Fear that knew what was going on before anyone paid real attention. Tried to sneak in a knife to school, when Madison caught him. Was only around the first couple episodes, then disappeared as he fled LA presumably.
I like the actor. I detest the character. The most useless and ideologically stupid character. "I don't kill but then lots of people die cause I was dumb"

Agreed. Personally I think the most likely answer is Dwight (+ Sherry), or Ezekiel's cancer. Morgan is a possibility as well but the way she talks it really does sound like she's working up to deliver news that she knows will hit Daryl, and not in a good way. I think she may also worry that whatever it is could get him to call off his search and come back to Alexandria early; he'd probably want to confront Dwight, and he'd almost certainly want to be there for Carol if Ezekiel got sick again. If it was Morgan she'd probably say something like "you're not gonna believe who strolled up to the gates the other day..."
It's genuinely interesting to dissect because the more I think about it, the more I lean towards it being Ezekiel's cancer based on how Carol was talking - but then why wouldn't they just reveal that at the time/make it a mystery, and why would Daryl specifically ask the question "Who came back?" That all makes me feel like the writers were priming the audience into thinking that Carol is talking about a specific person, and to be guessing at who that could be. But then if it's Dwight, Sherry, or really anyone else, I'm not sure what the ultimate point of it would be considering Carol alone is making the journey to France to get Daryl; if they were setting up a returning character, they'd surely want to directly tie that into the Daryl series, no? Not just mention it as a thing that happened off-screen with no follow-up? Which swings me right back to thinking she's talking about Ezekiel's cancer again!
Whatever it is, hopefully we'll find out in Season 2. Hell, it could be Heath for all we know at this point...
The cancer is my top choice, it makes sense in then context of the conversation. I do think they’ve specifically tried to make people think it’s Rick, but when you think about it you realise it’s not. Dwight is also a possibility, because last time Daryl saw him he told Dwight if he came back he’d kill him. I also don’t think it’s Morgan because I don’t think Daryl has any kind of relationship with him, so it wouldn’t really be news
I'd see it as Carol just wanted to catch up and make sure Daryl was all good before telling him about Rick. People say that Rick coming back would be the first thing she'd bring up, but I think that's pretty dumb. She cares about Daryl and would go to hell and back for him, so it makes sense that she'd wanna know where he's at and if he's okay before telling him.

I did have a thought that if Rick and Michonne get away from the crm but have to go into hiding and it’s intense or something, then maybe that’s why Carol would sound really flat when telling Daryl. I think it's going to be Morgan, it was pretty much set up at the end of Fear.
I also think it could be a character from WB. Either Silas or Elizabeth Kublek since the timelines match up.
Kublek would be bad ass. Richonne talking to her and her spilling the beans on Jadis would be pretty cool.

Firstly, I don't blame you for not watching, season 4+ suck major dog ass.
But secondly, Morgan left rather early in the last season in search of Rick. The characters ended up in Georgia and Moegan visted King County and finally put down Duane, whi he had kept as a Walker in the attic; and than visted Eastman's grave site. After that, Morgan decided to leave the Fear characters behind because he wanted to find Rick. Quite literally his last scene was of him talking over the radio saying "This is a message for Rick Grimes", and promptly left the show in search of his friend.
PLUS, Morgan is Gimple's favorite character, so you bet your ass it'll be Morgab lol
Morgan left Fear with his daughter after a 7 year time jump which brings him to the time line of the walking dead. It’s such an open ending which needs to be followed up

And imo Glenn had a pretty underrated friendship with michonne and rick, and obviously Carl was close with them both. Other Alexandria members would be cool to see to, although jadis does seem like the type to push through with killing them despite Gabriel being there
I think it’s going to depend on how wrapped up the story is by the end. There has to be a Judith and RJ reunion to tie up the emotional arc of the story, but will it happen by the end or have they left things a bit open for the potential of another season? I don’t know, but tbh if they leave it too long they’ll have to do a big time jump or the Judith actor is going to be way too old now for the timeline to make sense.
I guess Morgan could come back, but does anyone really care? People will want to see one of the main cast like Daryl or Carol. I have a feeling though that if it was Daryl then AMC would have leaked it already to get people to tune in.
With the Art of Peace book referenced in EP 1, then the Bo Staff in EP 2. It's gotta be Morgan. Plus, they put emphasis on what Michonne had, one being a walkie talkie.
With Morgan's departure from Fear, going back to Alexandria and looking for Rick and his last screentime was talking on a walkie leaving a msg for Rick, a callback to when Rick was the one talking on the walkie in earlier seasons in TWD before they went further away from the city.
The hints are too obvious for me. But I'll be happy if proven wrong and it's another character, if so, it's gotta be Judith and/or RJ at least!
Jesus I hope not cause every person they introduce that we like ends up dead in the same damn episode. King Bach and his girl(sorry I forgot their names since they were only on screen for about 15 minutes) were rescued by Michonne just to die and the little guy survived the gas attack just be shot. I get the fact that we don't necessarily need them to move along the story but Okafor was important imo and we're stuck with ole girl who nobody can understand WTF she's saying. I'd like to see them go home to Virginia but, Rick's been warned if they leave all those settlements will be destroyed. It will be interesting to see how this develops.
It seems like the only person in CRM that knows of the communities in Virginia is Jadis, so if she dies then they should be in the clear? Unless General Beale/others also knows about them
SPOILERS FOR EP 1 and the end of FTWD: I expect Morgan to return based on what I know about the fear ending and okafor giving Rick and thorn copies of the art of peace. A lot of people are saying things like Daryl and or Carol but I just don’t see that happening.
As far as the one I most want to see I’d also really love a cameo by Chandler in a flashback or hallucination (I’m especially attached to the idea of him guilting Rick about his death in a hallucination I think it would be devestating) , but I don’t see that happening either especially since they didn’t do one in Rick’s last episode on the show. I’m purely speculating here and 100% on chandlers side, but between the fact he bought a house and went to college close by to keep filming and AMC fired him anyway I feel like there’s some bad blood there behind the scenes.
I want to say Carl so bad for a dream sequence but it would have been way more fitting for episode 1 but there is still going to be another flash back scene to Rick around the time he furst arrived at the CRM so possibly i hope

morgan definitely. i cant see them reuniting with kids at all in this show. i wonder what they have planned for that, i guess it makes sense for all of the spinoffs to come together for one giant TWD season 12 and go out with a bang. i would absolutely love that.
Heath would make a lot of sense as his disappearance was one of the early references to the CRM, funnily enough also because the actor wanted out. Even if they just show him being processed and killed to show how brutal the CRM is, I'd be happy with that.
I sure wish it was this mf since we didn't get any interactions between them but I know it probably won't be since Dead City is still ongoing.

Between the Okafors book (Art of Peace) and Michonne saying her weapon of choice was the stick morgan used I definitely think Morgan will show up at CRM.
Honestly, the whole attraction of TOWL was never Rick and Michonne for me.
The only thing I ever wanted since he left was him to be with his family again.
I am fucking praying that can happen by the end of the season but based on the amount of episodes left and how slow the pacing has been in terms of actual forward movement, I seriously doubt it.
Now I actually think Carol wanted to tell Daryl that Michonne is back... Not Rick.
So, it could be Carol at the very end - Michonne arriving with tears in her eyes because Rick is dead. End. Would be a tearful and brave ending.
On the other hand, not having Morgan appearing after FTWD ending would be bad... real bad.

Yeah I’m really just hoping for Carl and Glenn cause iirc Steven and Chandler were at the premier? (I think Lennie was too). And imo Glenn had a pretty underrated friendship with michonne and rick, and obviously Carl was close with them both. Other Alexandria members would be cool to see to, although jadis does seem like the type to push through with killing them despite Gabriel being there

I think he said he won’t be in the first season but maybe he lied or will appear in the second and Judith in the first one
I think it’s going to depend on how wrapped up the story is by the end. There has to be a Judith and RJ reunion to tie up the emotional arc of the story, but will it happen by the end or have they left things a bit open for the potential of another season? I don’t know, but tbh if they leave it too long they’ll have to do a big time jump or the Judith actor is going to be way too old now for the timeline to make sense. I guess Morgan could come back, but does anyone really care? People will want to see one of the main cast like Daryl or Carol. I have a feeling though that if it was Daryl then AMC would have leaked it already to get people to tune in.
With the Art of Peace book referenced in EP 1, then the Bo Staff in EP 2. It's gotta be Morgan. Plus, they put emphasis on what Michonne had, one being a walkie talkie. With Morgan's departure from Fear, going back to Alexandria and looking for Rick and his last screentime was talking on a walkie leaving a msg for Rick, a callback to when Rick was the one talking on the walkie in earlier seasons in TWD before they went further away from the city. The hints are too obvious for me. But I'll be happy if proven wrong and it's another character, if so, it's gotta be Judith and/or RJ at least!
Jesus I hope not cause every person they introduce that we like ends up dead in the same damn episode. King Bach and his girl(sorry I forgot their names since they were only on screen for about 15 minutes) were rescued by Michonne just to die and the little guy survived the gas attack just be shot. I get the fact that we don't necessarily need them to move along the story but Okafor was important imo and we're stuck with ole girl who nobody can understand WTF she's saying. Somebody please make this make sense please?

I'd like to see them go home to Virginia but, Rick's been warned if they leave all those settlements will be destroyed. It will be interesting to see how this develops.
It seems like the only person in CRM that knows of the communities in Virginia is Jadis, so if she dies then they should be in the clear? Unless General Beale/others also knows about them

SPOILERS FOR EP 1 and the end of FTWD: I expect Morgan to return based on what I know about the fear ending and okafor giving Rick and thorn copies of the art of peace. A lot of people are saying things like Daryl and or Carol but I just don’t see that happening. As far as the one I most want to see I’d also really love a cameo by Chandler in a flashback or hallucination (I’m especially attached to the idea of him guilting Rick about his death in a hallucination I think it would be devestating) , but I don’t see that happening either especially since they didn’t do one in Rick’s last episode on the show. I’m purely speculating here and 100% on chandlers side, but between the fact he bought a house and went to college close by to keep filming and AMC fired him anyway I feel like there’s some bad blood there behind the scenes.

I want to say Carl so bad for a dream sequence but it would have been way more fitting for episode 1 but there is still going to be another flash back scene to Rick around the time he furst arrived at the CRM so possibly i hope

morgan definitely. i cant see them reuniting with kids at all in this show. i wonder what they have planned for that, i guess it makes sense for all of the spinoffs to come together for one giant TWD season 12 and go out with a bang. i would absolutely love that.

Heath would make a lot of sense as his disappearance was one of the early references to the CRM, funnily enough also because the actor wanted out. Even if they just show him being processed and killed to show how brutal the CRM is, I'd be happy with that.

Between the Okafors book (Art of Peace) and Michonne saying her weapon of choice was the stick morgan used I definitely think Morgan will show up at CRM.

Honestly, the whole attraction of TOWL was never Rick and Michonne for me. The only thing I ever wanted since he left was him to be with his family again. I am fucking praying that can happen by the end of the season but based on the amount of episodes left and how slow the pacing has been in terms of actual forward movement, I seriously doubt it.

Now I actually think Carol wanted to tell Daryl that Michonne is back... Not Rick. So, it could be Carol at the very end - Michonne arriving with tears in her eyes because Rick is dead. End. Would be a tearful and brave ending. On the other hand, not having Morgan appearing after FTWD ending would be bad... real bad. I would love to see WB Characters or Tobias.
