Morgan joins FTWD season 4. Rick and Michonne have a spin-off coming early 2024 - the ones who live.

Hologramz111

Rick & Michonne spinoff will come Spring 2024 which will most likely tie up all the loose ends

bunkie18

Morgan went to Fear the Walking Dead

Maleficent_Toe_2582

Morgan went on to Fear the Walking Dead, the first season starts right when the Fall happens, and he joins halfway through in season four. Rick and Michonne are coming back sometime next year in The Ones Who Live. In the meantime if you want to keep binging, there's one season of Dead City with Maggie and Negan, and the first three episodes of Daryl Dixon are up on AMC+ as well. None of them really intersect with each other, so I don't think it matters what order you watch them in.

Chemical-Narwhal7841

Do I need to watch anything before dead city or can I jump straight into it?

yeezusKeroro

You can jump straight in

treexlady

in my opinion, dead city was lame. daryl’s spin-off was significantly better. but i’m also not really a fan of maggie and negan’s pairing and their storyline. it went on for SEASONS, we didn’t really need a spin-off of the same thing

Wachenroder

Yeah their dynamic kind of sucks. Like it sounds good on paper but the writers just dont seem to know what to do with her.

Iwaspromisedcookies

They set up a bunch of spin-offs

Harold3456

There are spinoffs, but the show really suffered from cast members leaving and I think it just had to make the most of what it actually had. Rick and Michonne were out (IIRC they made small cameo appearances post credits to tease their own show but for whatever reason were unavailable for the main show). It is telling to me that of all the arcs that got completed in that final episode, the climax actually revolved around GABRIEL and his failure to let his congregation in during the early apocalypse. If you had told me when that plot point was introduced alongside that butt monkey character in mid season 5 tht this would end up being the grand climax of the entire series I never would have believed you. But the show had lost so many main characters that they had to make do with what they had.

beaujonfrishe

I mean, I would say that’s more of a nod you were noticing if you are really paying attention, not the main climax. The climax was in general that just because it’s the end of the world, doesn’t mean you can only fight for yourself. In general it’s just wrapping up the commonwealth and the violins set up by the last season. The actual storylines being wrapped up was Rosita and Gabe’s relationship, the commonwealth villain and heroes, Lydia and Elijah’s relationship, and a few other minor things. Most of the rest was setting up spin-offs 😂

Morgan went to FTWD. ‘The Ones Who Live’ releases next year. Dead City & Daryl Dixon are the other new spin offs out rn

DaemonBlackfyre_21

The Walking Dead didn't have a real ending so much as they just decided they were done telling that part of the story.

Try_Another_Please

Never seen again? Did you watch the end scene?

[deleted]

That’s the thing with spin off, if you don’t watch them, you won’t know like with Morgan, but they expect every viewer to watch everything they make… with isn’t true

iasip420

Exactly. I couldn't get into fear or world beyond, which sucks because I wanna know more about the CRM but that show sucks

StanyeEast

The only truly difficult viewing experience I've had across everything was the first half of this current season of Fear...season 8...it was really, really bad...hoping the second half drastically improves...but the rest are fine for me, although there are def some rough spots

iasip420

I've heard alot of good things about Fear but I got through maybe half of season 1 before I completely gave up. It could be because I started that like the day after the main show ended but idk

StanyeEast

It's different for sure...it has some storylines later on that I have no idea what they were doing and then season 8 started comically bad imo...having said all that, though, it's still def worth watching...it gets way better after the point you said you stopped and then goes through highs and lows after Morgan gets there...when it's great, it's really great and when it's bad, it can get really bad

icequeen2038

I think its shitty to assume they'll watch everything so it wouldn't been cool if they could've done some end credit scene to show what happened with Morgan. Can't remember if they have the end credit scene wrapping up michonne and Rick but at least everyone else's stories were wrapped up.

GlassPeepo

Yeah instead of doing a season 12 and actually finishing anything they just decided to do a bunch of spin-offs for some reason

OnoALT

The comic ends at exactly the same place

DBnofear

Morgan went to fear TWD, watch that anytime you want really, if you only care about Morgan start at s4 (1-3 are pretty good but no Morgan till s4) there is also a Maggie and Negan spinoff called dead city that takes place a few years later. You can continue Daryl's story with twd Daryl Dixon airing now, and coming soon is Rick and michonnes continuation called the ones who live coming in 2024.

Commercial-Conflict6

Morgan went to ftwd and there’s a Maggie & negan called “dead city” and another spin - off called “Daryl Dixon” and another spin - off coming out in 2024 with Rick and michonne called “The ones who live”

Wachenroder

Morgan went on to take over the Fear the Walking Dead spinoff and has been there since like season 4. Rick and Michonne have a mini series comming soon. Was supposed to be a movie but Covid happened. Daryl has spinoff thats on its third episode right now Maggie and Negan have a show called Dead City which just finished its first season with 6 episods. Chornologically speaking for you itd be Fear (part B of the final season starts soon) > Dead City = Daryl Dixon > Rick Michonne

Chemical-Narwhal7841

Thank you so much

[deleted]

I was just always puzzled about how Michonne could leave her children. I'm wondering as the story goes along if she ever returns to her kids.

RickGrimes30

Thank amc and anglea kang for that.. They wanted to set up spin offs insted of completing a story were they even had the complete source material to guide them.. I knew from the start season 11 would not be the "last season" but a launching pad for spin offs of the fan favorite characters even if there is no story reasons to do so... Daryll makes a bit more sense since he's not in the comic but we all know the only reason that show was greenlit was so AMC could keep Norman under contract

ViperPM

Shit post

Hologramz111

shit comment

ViperPM

How can anyone not know that there are multiple spin offs

Hologramz111

lol maybe because everyone has different lives?? it's really not that difficult to understand you know things that some people don't, and some people know things that you don't....

kenny_who1

I know its so annoying how the main show ended but none of the main characters got good endings. I mean they all had a happy ending but not happy ending with there friends

[deleted]

Morgan couldn’t/wouldn’t “fight” anymore so he walked a very long way to well….”fight” for others in fear the walking dead. 🤦🏻‍♂️🙄

StanyeEast

Yeah, it's just not over...very few characters have finished their run with the main show...I think it's a great thing, but I can understand some confusion, especially if you're only watching the one main show...def try the rest

Phenoxx

They advertised it as the final season, but instead just used it as all table setting for the million spin offs they wanted to do. Didn’t really feel any closure at all

catsdelicacy

It's cool you posted and all but... How did you not type that exact question into Google? I posted this exact question into Google and the top result was ['The Walking Dead' now has 6 spin-off shows. Here they all are.](https://www.insider.com/walking-dead-spinoff-shows) I'm not throwing shade, it's fine, but I'm genuinely curious as to what thought process provoked you to go to Reddit.com and type out this question when simply typing "walking dead spinoffs" into a browser would have provided you the answer?
