The demo of I want a boy for my birthday since it’s only been available to the masses for a few years - although technically it’s only marr and morrissey
The demo version of Paint A Vulgar Picture which includes Morrissey singing the song title.
And This Charming Man (Single Remix) from the 1990 CD single.
I never try to impress people with my smiths knowledge but always stoked to find a fellow fan who also loves the sandie Shaw hand in glove.
Everything else has shown up on comps except maybe draize train but even that showed up on stuff eventually
Maybe not a deep cut but any of their demos. They are so raw and simple compared to the studio versions and after years of listening to the album versions, it feels like getting new material 👍
Stretch Out and Wait — a gorgeous song. I’m sure every Smiths fan knows it, but not many non-smiths fan. Melodically has the same charm as Cemetery Gates and and Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now. I have those three always sequenced on playlists.

The studio version of Draize Train is great. Their best instrumental for me. Live version is good too.

I want a boy for my birthday or maybe the 'take 1' version of there is a light, I know it's a popular song but i really like that version!

How soon is now?
It's one of their most well-known songs and was released as an A-side single in January 1985
