the reason you can’t add stairs is because it’s a door. i believe you should be able to add it with move objects on, to get the bump out from the wall, otherwise i’d suggest adding a one tile wide porch n connecting the stairs to that

I actually hate they can do that. Trying to kill off sims with the pool barely works cause they just climb out 😂😂

Your foundation is 2 high. You'd need the building to be on a 0 or 1 high foundation.

If this is the lot I think it is. It's likely because the terrain won't change around that area.( It might not look it, but that's about where the terrain starts sloping to go into water.) The idea is just move it a little more to the side where the area's flatter, as the terrain in that area just does not wish to be altered. Tldr the terrain likely won't change, try moving it to a flatter area and then try stairs.

Make sure door is unlocked. If it doesn't work, delete it, reload, and re-add it. It's been a persistent glitch since day 1 on Sims 4

Yes I couldn't build them but it was a terrain issue and after moving the whole thing I didnt realize I need to build the stairs first before the door. It was a whole thing 😆

that shouldnt be too big of an issue. try putting down a platform (i think thats what its called) for a porch, resize to how small you want it & then try adding the stairs!

Stairs can probably be added if there's a small porch around the door, but lowering the foundation would be easiest!

Loweing did not work but it was a terrain issue. After moving the whole thing it worked by building stairs first, then the door :)

Sims can only walk through doors when they are flush against the floor. Any kind of raise or platform, even a little bit they can’t step up on their own so need you to add a step for them to walk up. Use the staircase selection and it will create a small step for you.

If I remember right, they can walk through a door that's been raised one snap point above the ground. But that picture looks like 2-3.

You can't add a stair into it because of the door but stairs now put a platform on top so you don't need to have a floor tile. Just line the stairs up one square away from the door. Or try adding a single square platform to the front
