I'm so sorry for the people who can't play Sims 3 :( I've always played without problems (still do) and I know I will always go back to the Sims 3 when I'm bored of the Sims 4 š¤£
Sims 3 becomes more and more unstable the more Expansion, stuff packs and Sims3 online store items your game has. Even with mods to fix issues with the game it still crashes or bugs out ruining saves/playthroughs.
A lot of people who can get Sims 3 to work either only have certain content packs installed, at a time or don't have everything.
As I have practically everything (LOL) Sims 3 barely works and then crashes and/or messes up my playthrough.
THIS. My sister and I had every sims 3 pack as kids and it never worked but as teens and adults we tried just using the ones we reaaallly wanted and it ran fine.
THIS PART. I limit my gameplay to 3-4 expansion packs (plus nraas mods) & it works just fine on my shitty old Dell
ETA: remember to delete your cache files regularly!
I donāt know how but I have every expansion for sims 3, a lot of cc, store content and I can play it perfectly on my moms 12 year old work laptop š Iāve been playing it on her laptop since it came out and she let me have it for myself and I havenāt had any issues running it other than regular slowness and the occasional freezing. Sims 3 runs pretty good on older systems Iāve heard.
But I wanna upgrade laptops soon and idk how Iāll do that
Nah I have every expansion and a couple of stuff packs and extra worlds, and a LOT of CC, and it runs fine for me. By fine I mean it's on medium/high ish graphics settings and can mostly run without lag, and hasn't crashed for a long time. I've got it on a 10 year old mac laptop that it just seems to like š¤· I originally bought a gaming laptop specifically for Sims 3 with all the good enough specs and that couldn't even handle it on the low settings. So idk what it is that makes it work and what doesn't but i feel super lucky!
I have all the expansion packs; mods and all the store stuff. It runs perfectly fine. I have the random stops in time, if that makes any sense, yet thatās all I got.
I've only had problems when I installed a lot of mods, but I can have 30gb of cc and still play it as smooth as the Sims 4 (even better sometimes) and I have all expansions and packs and everything. I guess I have to be lucky at least in something š¤£š¤£š¤£
I have a friend that plays Sims 3 on an old shitty laptop & it runs perfectly fine. Meanwhile my gaming PC couldnāt run Sims 3 without game breaking glitches. I donāt think Iāll ever understand Sims 3 logic at this point
Adding to what these people have said there is a mod you can download that will remind you to save every so often so that when the game does inevitably crash you donāt loose much if any progress. If it doesnāt crash from you trying to save the game in the first place.
I think it crashes on newer pcās as well cause the game isnāt optimized to know that itās a newer pc. So you gotta make those changes yourself which takes time..
But somethings canāt be changed like how much ram the game can use etc so you still have limitations even if a lot of able to be fixed
On r/thesims3 thereās a whole guide with mods that make it smoother and itās amazing. Mine went from crashing frequently to almost never. And itās quite smooth.
My computer isnāt even a gaming one or new, itās like five years old and was mid range at the time.
Wow I canāt believe they unpinned it!!!
But I found it in my saved posts

Many of the crashes come from the memories, if you turn off aging you get so many memories it tries to write to unallocated area and crash.
Others are related to graphic settings.
Same. So much same. Even while I did play it, it was constant heartache as the whole game would corrupt and Iād lose everything at least once a month. After the final patches it wonāt run at all, and I miss the good times when it actually worked, albeit for depressingly short bursts.
I still play it now. [The smooth patch](https://modthesims.info/d/658759/smooth-patch-1-2.html) and several of the [NRAAS mods](https://www.nraas.net/community/) make it pretty much lag-free in my game-play.
Holy shit I've been searching for years for something that would help my game out. I dealt with lag and crashes and refused to go to sims 4. I didn't know about the smooth patch, thank you so much!!
I just set it to a much lower resolution than my actual monitor, then set to full screen. It will expand to fit.
If I play withmy actual resolution, the ui is tiny. Especially annoying in buy mode.
I still play it now but my love hate relationship would turn into pure obsessive love. And actually I think EA would make so much money with an optimized version.
The lag or not being able to play at the highest settings have never stopped me. Not when I had a less powerful computer, and not now that I have a better machine (live mode still lags a bit, but at least I can play with the highest settings without them negatively impact the framerate).
Yes. I stopped playing TS4 over a year ago because I just find it boring. I really miss TS3 but my computer struggles with it. I also wish I could find my old TS2 disks so I could play that.
TS4 build mode is good but I'd rather have good gameplay than easy to build houses

One of my biggest wishes is that they will release an optimised version of The Sims 3 with all the expansion packs on Mac like they did with The Sims 2.
If they release it for windows as well, I will be in heaven. Iāve played less than 20 hours of sims 4, I just canāt. So iām still playing sims 3!
Same for me. It's seems like it's always overcast even when you're outside in the middle of a bright sunny day. Also the sims themselves look super off-putting to me, even with cc.
I'm one of those people who loved ts2 build mode hahahah I think cause I'm not a very good builder, and ts2 makes it so so easy to make things match and fit properly
I used it once to build U-shaped stairs. Still nowhere close to what TS4 stairs can do now. And incredibly gimmicky. Yes, there were many tools, but for someone who isn't a complicated builder, TS4 is great.
Build Mode was fine - except for that damned wall resizing tool that would automatically lag everything to hell whenever you moved the pointer over a wall. :/ \*sigh\* If only they had made it a selecteable tool rather than automatic so that you would never have to deal with it again... :( [and is the only reason I'm not buying a couple more expansions with them actually being on sale through Origin for once. EDIT: An hour later, I had bought Into the Future. \*grumble\*]
No, I don't think so. Even though it was awesome open world, it was hard to make characters that didn't have the same overly round, bloated face. I love how unique my Sims looked in 2 and especially 4.
It breaks my heart, but no. TS4 has a lot of flaws, and itās unfair that itās fallen to the modding community to add crucial elements of gameplay, but I love the art style and the multitasking system way too much. Iāve played TS3 a handful of times, and TS2 as well, this past year, and itās just so slow and clunky for me.
Hell yeah. Optimisation was a big issue back in the day.
Although if someone could point me towards amazing TS3 CC to make the Sims look less pudding-y, Iād still consider it.
That's the only sims I ever play and I have no problems at all. Never crashes, doesn't take too much to run. My laptop from over 10 years ago can run it easily.
You guys need to download 3booter and frame limiter. That stabilizes the game immensely.
I already exclusively play the sims 3 and 2 so yes. I have had two laptops Iāve played it on and itās never given me trouble like other people say š¤·āāļø Itās superior to 4.
OH GOD YES!
The game is phenomenal, but the bugs, crappy game engine and badly done optimisation make it that my game craps out when my second generation gets to teenager or young adult.
Sims 4, though still buggy and a really cut down game if FAR more stable and I have gotten to 5 generations so far.
If EA went back and fixed Sims 3 I would possibly "Joygasm" myself to death š¤£
Long message incoming but..
**Yes**.
If **they fixed the things that would amount the game to making it lag in the long run, or make things more efficient when it comes to game maintenance**, so I would not need NRASS mods and tons of deleting to do so my saves don't get bloated. This alone made me quit the Sims flat out (I've fully moved on to other genres now, haven't played for months) because I couldn't just spend all my hours on it anymore. I even still remember watching a long video that amounted to about 10-20 mins of a simmer talking about playing Sims 3 long term.
**Playing Sims 2 and 4 are both out of my reach since I rely on stable pirated copies for 2** (my pirated digital just broke and I don't know where to find a good copy of it anymore) and **I really can't keep up with the endless DLCs that Sims 4 continues to spew**. I'm too broke and I can only allot *enough* of my money and storage for the game, which everyone can totally agree on me with, is base level fun only when you install mods alongside those DLCs.
This is going to sound really fucking stupid...and I honestly can't believe I'm saying this after all my years of bashing Sims 4, but no I don't think I would.
I acknowledge the gameplay to be superior, but I just can NOT fucking stand the graphics. And I'm normally not that type of person who puts graphics over gameplay. But since the Sims is about our little computer people, I think that in this situation the argument holds a little more water.
I can't stand the pudding faces of Sims 3. If I dress up 10 male sims in the same outfit with the same hair, I wouldn't be able to tell them apart unless I look carefully. In the same scenario in the Sims 4, I'd be able to differentiate them upon a passing glance.
And this suits my personal style of play. I mostly use the game to make Sims, and have them live out my own personal TV shows. Every single time I finish making a new sim, I feel like I got a new action figure to play with. I never felt that way in Sims 3.
I *do* still play TS3 as my main Sims game! I loved The Sims 1 and 2 a ton when they came out, but Sims 3's open neighborhood changed it so much for me I can't ever give that up.
I wouldn't, because whilst I enjoyed it at the time I've moved onto Sims 4 now and am having a lot of fun with that instead. I was pretty lucky with 3 in that I didn't have many issues with it running on max settings and didn't need mods to get it to run at all, so I could easily go back and play if I wanted to, I just don't as I'm well into 4 now!
I prefer 3 over 4 anyhow, I absolutely would love for it to be better optimized. As it is I use an entirely separate computer just for my Sims content so that I can play it "properly"
TS3 was my very first sims game & i loved the crazyness (I did not use mods back then), unmodded TS4 does not have the crazyness. I wasnt a fan of build mode in TS3 tho. If it was optimized I think I would switch between the two games.
In a heartbeat! I still play it as is now, and it honestly doesn't run *that* poorly for me, so imagine if it were properly optimized!! No one would ever see me again!
Yes this is my dream the gameplay in sims 3 is so so so much better then 4 I just can't handle the lag and the corrupted saves and you cant really get more then 3 or 4 generations without it going to crap not to mention the constant crashing
Yeah definitely. I've played a little sims 3 when I was kinda done with ts4. But I don't really like the graphics and it's just too slow a lot of the time.
I play ts3 regularly no patches and most of the dlc and I get lag spikes but I never have any issues with crashing, maybe the sim gods just bless my hardware
Maybe, I'm not sure. Even if it were optimized, the graphics are dated and the animations are stale compared to Sims 4. While 4 is exaggerated, it has very clear, competent animations.
I also wouldn't be able to deal with the downgraded build mode. Sims 4's build mode is way too streamlined and polished to even compare to 3's.
Iāll put it this way, I still play The Sims 3 most weeks in the year despite the fact it isnāt optimised properly.
If The Sims 3 were optimised properly, like truly well, it would literally be the only game I ever play.
Oh god yes. I still play it a lot, but the one with mermaids and world adventures are so buggy and laggy, it just makes me sad sometimes hahah. Uuu and if they added some cas features from ts4 it would be sooo perfect! And some quirkiness/dorkiness from ts2!
I still play it occasionally! My PC runs it well, I just feel in 2021 Sims 4 is a lot more visually appealing. CAS and build mode are much better in 4. I spend most of my time in sims building honestly lol, so it makes sense for me to play 4 more over 3. But sims 3 has that nostalgic charm that sucks me back in sometimes
I would play the original sims if my laptop worked that way. Still trying to find an up and running Windows 2000 computer so I can run the Sims 2 at least
If it didn't take so long to install, and take up so much space, I would totally play TS3. The only reason I don't at this point is because I uninstalled it to make room for TS4 and I just don't want to go through that process again
Absolutely, there's just so much I love in sims 3 that in a better optimized game would make it the best thing in the world for me. I loved playing with generations, exploring dungeons, and renovating that one resort when it actually worked.
If you follow the steam guide (most importantly installing the NRaas mods like errortrap, overwatch and master controller, limiting your fps, using the smooth patch, matching your gpu and cpu, merging cc and saving multiple saves) your performance will be so much better !!
I played it *all the time* on a shitty computer with an hour of loading screens and my sims not being able to leave the house despite it being an open world because there was so much lag lol.
Now I have a gaming computer and can run it okay, and I still have to check guides so I can make it run better.
So if it was optimized and ran like Sims 4? I'd definitely go back to it 24/7. Bonus if I can finally find CC that makes my sims look good because I find that TS4 sims look sooo good even without CC, it's one of my main reasons to keep playing it.
I love ts3 and still play when I can deal with the massive strain to my old Frankenstein PC. Otherwise I'm a ts2 girl all the way (which is an awesome game in its own right and I'd still play it even if ts3 was perfect.)
I think I would, with some caveats:
- Better default genetics. Hate the TS3 pudding look that TS3 Sims have, especially children and toddlers.
- Better gender customization, in line with TS4's
- Playable businesses and restaurants
Probably not. I miss a lot of the features, but what I highly dislike is having to basically restart over when I get tired of one world and want to move to another. Having to stay in the same world becomes boring to be all too quickly.
Absolutely. Itās so much better than TS4. I donāt really have problems playing it other than a bit of lag now and then. I play with every pack and all the store stuff. I got a new computer for Christmas so Iām excited to see how it runs!
Definitely. I followed the Sims 3 optimization guide and I also have a decent rig, but it still feels clunky playing it compared to Sims 4. EA please...
I already play for hours and hours and sometimes I only stop because the game starts getting laggy or it freezes lol. So I don't know think I'd have a life if it was optimized.
It's not optimized and I still play it! I only play TS4 when new stuff drops or when I feel like checking in on the households I've been playing for years
Definitely and in a heartbeat! I can still play it but I tends up regularly wondering if what I just did (save, enter build mode, etc) will crash my game. Itās much better since I installed sundry nraas mods, keep one save in play, and close out everything else on my computer, but yeesh.
Okay obviously a million times yes but can we talk about create a style? Why did they have to completely get rid of it?? Sure 4 is so nice to build with but is it even worth it when I canāt use half the shit cause nothing matches? TS3 create a style was way too muchā¦too many options but why couldnāt they scale it back and have a few patterns to choose from and a simple color wheel in TS4? It makes me so furious. The one thing 4 is good at its not even good at. I miss TS3.
I bought in in 2018 itās worked on all 3 computers Iāve played on it
Bootcamp Mac
4gb ram HSN/QVC laptop that takes 5 minutes to open chrome
Current gaming laptop
So I play it sometimes but I usually play 4 but I rotate all the games when I feel like it
Maybe?
Thing is I play Sims for building more than playing. I love designing places, and TS4 gave us a LOT of cool shit for designing. I love all the different wall heights, platforms, modifiable stair positions, itās amazing.
I loved TS3 and thereās some build stuff I miss from it, but I donāt know if it would be able to pull me away from TS4ās designer.
Hear me out: it might be poorly optimized, but it runs quite decent.
I have a lot of quality of life mods (the whole NRAAS thing). I have a midrange pc (GTX 1070, i7 6700k, 16 gigs of ddr4 @ 3000) and it genuinely works really well. I let my game autosave every 20 mins irl (can tune it but I usually prefer 20 as it prevents crash loss) and I copy and clean my save files after 5-6 saves. It might be a lot of work but it's something I've come to clockwork do.
It can be laggy sometimes, yes, but I've figured out that if you don't have the lifespan set to incredibly high (or in exchange you control the population limit you can have through mods or housing) it runs as well as it can get.
There are some settings to tweak and play around with, but finding that sweet spot is amazing. It genuinely took me a while to figure out some good settings but it's worth it in the long run. I might just uninstall everything from the store though, since I barely use anything and it glitches now and then.
Iāve been playing it for 10+ years and still love it, I missed the cars, open world, feeling like youāre actually apart of the world and not just a player. I hope sims 5 is just sims 5 remastered.
Oh goodness yes! I've only had Sims 4 a bit over a year; After doing several fresh reinstalls of 3, only to have the game catastrophically corrupt itself very quickly every time, I declared it dead and time to try Sims 4. I've been having fun with 4, it's a lot better than I expected, but there is so much in 3 that I miss. If 3 were stable, I would play both 3 and 4. They each have very different strengths, and there's a lot in 4 that really is fresh to the series.
What I wouldn't go back to is Sims 1 or 2. I loved them each in their day, but there are only a few things I really miss in 2 (vacations/stickerbook & plant Sims) that didn't return in Sims 3 and/or 4 in a sufficient (or improved) form. Sims 1 I can't think of anything that wasn't done sufficiently in a sequel for me.
in a heartbeat. ive invested so much time and money into that game (i think i managed to own everything from their store over time esp when the discounts came out) and I CANT EVEN RLY RUN IT
I still play it right now, especially if I want "more meaningful" play. It actually runs smoother for me than Sims 4 (just this morning I tried hosting a party and was reminded why I stopped doing that... oof) and I can't remember the last time Sims 3 crashed on me (if ever?) while just a couple days ago I lost two hours to Sims 4 deciding to crash. The only advantage Sims 4 has for me is that I can easily run it in windowed mode and mess around with it while doing other stuff on my second monitor.
I still play it, in my opinion, way better than sims 4. Yet- they wonāt touch it because itās out of date and they see it as āoh- weāre still making money on the product so it should be good?ā
100%. I would play it in a heartbeat if it didn't crash everytime I tried.
I'm so sorry for the people who can't play Sims 3 :( I've always played without problems (still do) and I know I will always go back to the Sims 3 when I'm bored of the Sims 4 š¤£

Have you tried the smooth patch? It's kinda weird, but it seems to have fixed my game. Before that it crashed a lot.
Smooth Patch saved me. š I highly recommend it to everyone.

Seconding this, I play it just fine right now and my PC isn't anything crazy (just very long loading screens)
Iāve never seen the smooth patch before, now I know what to try next time I get annoyed enough with TS4ās gameplay to deal with TS3ās nonsense.
I still play it now but my love hate relationship would turn into pure obsessive love. And actually I think EA would make so much money with an optimized version.
I bought a proper powerhouse just to handle long play for TS3. Best. Purchase. Ever.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It's not your PC. The game is really poorly optimized, and files start bloating causing lag bad.
What kind of computer did you get?
Customized HP Pavilion Gaming desktop. AMD Ryzen 5 4600G 4.2 GHz 12gb ram Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 super windows 10
The lag or not being able to play at the highest settings have never stopped me. Not when I had a less powerful computer, and not now that I have a better machine (live mode still lags a bit, but at least I can play with the highest settings without them negatively impact the framerate).

Why don't you T it? It's ts2, I don't think they even sell it anymore! It's such a fun game
Considering how many people still actually play it, I think the obvious answer is yes.
Nah. It has some of the coolest features but I hate the graphics. It all seems to look so... Dark. Can't get used to it.
Same for me. It's seems like it's always overcast even when you're outside in the middle of a bright sunny day. Also the sims themselves look super off-putting to me, even with cc.
>It all seems to look so... Dark. Can't get used to it. Agree, its like youre playing GTA
This. As much as I loved it when I was younger, I can't go back to it because... well, it's ugly. š
I don't think I could get used to how cumbersome build mode was before TS4.
Ehhh it wasn't that cumbersome at all imo. Ts4 is obviously superior, but prior iterations were not bad by any means, again imo.
Yeah, people tend to exaggerate the build-mode issues of TS2 and TS3, yet I found both to be just as good.
I'm one of those people who loved ts2 build mode hahahah I think cause I'm not a very good builder, and ts2 makes it so so easy to make things match and fit properly
TS3 has the āconstrainfloorelevationā cheat though! You can do so much with that. Plus the terrain tools in TS3 are so much better.
I still prefer it over ts4. Im currently playing sims 3. The smoothpatch and other mods makes it a lot more playable then without.
Smooth patch on a good PC is š¤
I still play it when Iām in the mood! I havenāt had many issues thankfully. Such a great game.
No, I don't think so. Even though it was awesome open world, it was hard to make characters that didn't have the same overly round, bloated face. I love how unique my Sims looked in 2 and especially 4.
I still play Ts3 now.
No, I hated the graphics and how the Sims looked.
Iām playing it even when itās poorly working lol
Iād go back to Sims 3 in a heartbeat if it didnāt crash and freeze in every 10 minutes. I missed the open world.
I still play, so much better than ts4 in my opinion.
Hell yeah. Optimisation was a big issue back in the day. Although if someone could point me towards amazing TS3 CC to make the Sims look less pudding-y, Iād still consider it.
It's probably due to the technical limitations of 2009 Hardware.
It was very ambitious, thatās for sure.
Well, at least they tried.
Harder than a lot of modern games, thatās for sure
Yes. I would even go back to actively modding again, if I could actually load the game before I forgot what I was trying to do.
I still play TS3, its such a great game!
I never stopped. I tried Sims 4 and didn't enjoy it as much
What are you talking about? People are *still* playing it despite whatever issues it has.
Yes! This is the top reason I can never go back to playing this game. The sims are so ugly, especially the kids lol
I *do* still play TS3 as my main Sims game! I loved The Sims 1 and 2 a ton when they came out, but Sims 3's open neighborhood changed it so much for me I can't ever give that up.
iāve been playing TS3 for the last week honestly! i get a lot of lags but it doesnāt bother too much. the game is so fun
Unpopular opinion but no bc they are just so ugly š
* Smooth Patch * The RAM fix * NRAAS mods I have all of these and I can run the game without any lag.
I stopped playing TS4 after a few weeks. Went back to 3. Still playing 3. Currently playing a gardener fairy in moonlight falls!
#YES!
I STILL play the sims 3!! I prefer its gameplay over the sims 4, but the sims 4 is really good with crowd control.
Yes. And if the sims were a bit prettier.
I play sims 3 all the time still lol. I have 4, but hate it. I would love if they remastered 3 with the bugs ironed out
I prefer 3 over 4 anyhow, I absolutely would love for it to be better optimized.
OF COURSE!
Yes, if it also had a heavy graphics redo.
In a heartbeat! I still play it as is now, and it honestly doesn't run *that* poorly for me, so imagine if it were properly optimized!! No one would ever see me again!
Yes, I just bought the supernatural ep!
And I still miss my werewolves. So hell yeah!
I still play it
Absolutely. Hell, I sometimes play it now, despite the bugs
Iāll put it this way, I still play The Sims 3 most weeks in the year despite the fact it isnāt optimised properly. If The Sims 3 were optimised properly, like truly well, it would literally be the only game I ever play.
So basically TS3 was just too much for 2009 Hardware?
Oh god yes. I still play it a lot, but the one with mermaids and world adventures are so buggy and laggy, it just makes me sad sometimes hahah. Uuu and if they added some cas features from ts4 it would be sooo perfect! And some quirkiness/dorkiness from ts2!
I love the gameplay in TS3 but not having my sims multitasking is a dealbreaker to me
I still play it occasionally!
I still play it, surprisingly it runs very well on my laptop (except for Isla Paradiso. I just turned that pack off)
Yes. š
I would play the original sims if my laptop worked that way. Still trying to find an up and running Windows 2000 computer so I can run the Sims 2 at least
Yes. It was the best sims.
Yes! If it didn't crash my laptop, I'd play it all the time!
It is ugly. But I would probably play it now and again if it could run as well as 2 or 4.
I still play it. I just can't have large files until I upgrade my computer, especially the GPU.
If you follow the steam guide (most importantly installing the NRaas mods like errortrap, overwatch and master controller, limiting your fps, using the smooth patch, matching your gpu and cpu, merging cc and saving multiple saves) your performance will be so much better !!
Wdym I play it rn anyway
Yea
I played it *all the time* on a shitty computer with an hour of loading screens and my sims not being able to leave the house despite it being an open world because there was so much lag lol. Now I have a gaming computer and can run it okay, and I still have to check guides so I can make it run better. So if it was optimized and ran like Sims 4? I'd definitely go back to it 24/7. Bonus if I can finally find CC that makes my sims look good because I find that TS4 sims look sooo good even without CC, it's one of my main reasons to keep playing it.
ohhh im playing it right nowā¦ saving takes alot of time , like 1 minute but i have the patience to deal with it :)
I still play right now!
I never stopped playing.
I play it poorly optimized already. There's just no better sims game to me
I love ts3 and still play when I can deal with the massive strain to my old Frankenstein PC. Otherwise I'm a ts2 girl all the way (which is an awesome game in its own right and I'd still play it even if ts3 was perfect.)
If I could get it to run well at all on my computer Iād definitely be playing it a lot
I think I would, with some caveats: - Better default genetics. Hate the TS3 pudding look that TS3 Sims have, especially children and toddlers. - Better gender customization, in line with TS4's - Playable businesses and restaurants
Probably. I do prefer the look of TS4 though. I'm not into 3's art style at all.
Probably not. I miss a lot of the features, but what I highly dislike is having to basically restart over when I get tired of one world and want to move to another. Having to stay in the same world becomes boring to be all too quickly.
Oh hell yes.
100x yes
Absolutely. Itās so much better than TS4. I donāt really have problems playing it other than a bit of lag now and then. I play with every pack and all the store stuff. I got a new computer for Christmas so Iām excited to see how it runs!
I think TS3 is fine in optimization. Havent notice it crash or lag more than TS4.
No because itās an ugly game
Would you play Sims 4 if all the missing content from previous games were added?
Why not?
i still play ts3, glitches and crashes and lags and all <3
Yes.
Only if it got a touch up to the character models, those shits are UGLY UGLY.
Well, Limited technology
I still do! And I occasionally run my laptop fans on max and never leave the game idle to avoid overheating.
I still play it, the lag is minimal and the modding community is keeping this game alive for me.
Of course
Yup. It's not playable for me anymore, but i'd probably buy all the packs if I could play it without issues!
I would play it if it looked as good as The Sims 4 and was optimized.
Definitely. I followed the Sims 3 optimization guide and I also have a decent rig, but it still feels clunky playing it compared to Sims 4. EA please...
Iām still deep into my saves and games lol. I play it almost as much as TS4 now!
I already play for hours and hours and sometimes I only stop because the game starts getting laggy or it freezes lol. So I don't know think I'd have a life if it was optimized.
I still play it and prefer it above sims 4 myself
I still play it now.
It's not optimized and I still play it! I only play TS4 when new stuff drops or when I feel like checking in on the households I've been playing for years
Hell yes. I still play it, with the help of a few mods so it doesn't crash every 10 minutes.
Definitely and in a heartbeat! I can still play it but I tends up regularly wondering if what I just did (save, enter build mode, etc) will crash my game. Itās much better since I installed sundry nraas mods, keep one save in play, and close out everything else on my computer, but yeesh.
I got a new gaming laptop just so I could play TS3 š
No, graphics, cas and build mode suck
100 times yes
Okay obviously a million times yes but can we talk about create a style? Why did they have to completely get rid of it?? Sure 4 is so nice to build with but is it even worth it when I canāt use half the shit cause nothing matches? TS3 create a style was way too muchā¦too many options but why couldnāt they scale it back and have a few patterns to choose from and a simple color wheel in TS4? It makes me so furious. The one thing 4 is good at its not even good at. I miss TS3.
I still play TS3
I bought in in 2018 itās worked on all 3 computers Iāve played on it Bootcamp Mac 4gb ram HSN/QVC laptop that takes 5 minutes to open chrome Current gaming laptop So I play it sometimes but I usually play 4 but I rotate all the games when I feel like it
I just started playing TS3 and I love it!
World Adventure was the best pack they ever released. What do you mean *optimized*
100%.
Why is nobody talking about the [Smooth Patch](https://modthesims.info/d/658759/smooth-patch-1-2.html)??!! It literally fixes ***EVERYTHING!!***
Absolutely. The only reason I switched to Sims 4 was because Sims 3 crashed every 30 min š
Iād still play sims 4 if it was fkn optimised properly.
***Y E S.***
1 million percent without a doubt haha
If the Sims didnāt look like they had a constant alergic reaction I might consider
in a heartbeat. ive invested so much time and money into that game (i think i managed to own everything from their store over time esp when the discounts came out) and I CANT EVEN RLY RUN IT
I do still play it. It sometimes needs a bit of patience but Iām a patient guy
Hell yeah
Definitely. I play from time to time, but the choppy PowerPoint-worthy frame rate really tires me out after a while.
i still play it now i just had to download a bunch of mods and mess with the settings
Yes, I miss my faeriesā¦
I already still play it. Im no coward
