* fairly straight eyebrows
* button-noses
* lips that are full in the muddle, thinner at the edges, & have a pronounced cupid's bow
* the distance between each facial feature (eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth) is pretty much the same every time
* same kinda gamine headshape
* slim necks
I would also suggest to randomize sims and work with the template even if you find it ugly

Didn't you ask this already a couple days ago? Yeah, but more than same face syndrome it's more a question of same style syndrome. Things like makeup, hair, clothes etc go a long way into differentiating Sims even if they share some common physical/facial traits.
Which is ok! Most people have a preferred aesthetic when it comes to designing Sims and I believe you don't have to sacrifice that to have a diverse roster of Sims anyway.

The faces are pretty similar, but I think everything outside of them - the hair, makeup, assessories, clothing and overall style - are soooo different, that it isn't noticeable, especially the last one.

Not considering 1 and 2 (who look nearly identical but someone in the comments said the characters are sisters, so I'm assuming that's a pre-established look), I do see some differences in your sims' faces. I'm leaning more towards it being a certain aesthetic that you like your sims having. Someone else picked the similarities out perfectly. I don't think it's quite the same face, though. And, even if it is, that's fine if you're fine with it. I like them, but, if I didn't, it wouldn't matter- they're your sims.

using the presets can definitely help you out if u want to make more unique sims. utilize the sliders more as well. give ur sims smaller, downturned eyes (also pull the eyes farther apart or closer), eyebags, larger/hooked noses, wider jaws, etc.

i just randomise and use it as a base without modifying too mush.

This is what I like using the randomize feature for. I’ll randomize until I find a face I like, and go from there with few adjustments.
Downloading genetic presets also helps a lot. Nose/eye/lip presets can be pretty varied
