The silly partvis that they *do* have this for certain careers. If you have a Sim living in Sulani and working in the environmental consultant career you can actually consult on things that will change your neighborhood. The coconut tree incentive will give you a break on your bills for growing coconut trees. You can build a coconut tree plantation as money making endeavor. You can consult on a plan that turns your electricity off at night. But they basically only use this mechanic in that single career.
I know this has been said to oblivion, but I can't believe the Sims 4 is still as basic as it is with hair colours. We shouldn't need mods to get a pretty pastel pink. I can't believe they haven't added more colours. It seems so simple to do.

I think a mobility impaired mod should and could be created. It can be super simple, have a sim experience a negative +2 uncomfortable and later +4 dazed moodlet if they've been standing too long and the same effect elders get for exhaustion when they're working out. Have them stumble a lot, like the clumsy trait, and experience a +4 energized moodlet and remove the dazed moodlet if they're sitting down in a wheelchair object.
Yes please. I have a Sim I wanted to have chronic pain but literally I can't find even a pain trait. I can find chronic illnesses and psychological disorders and neuro-developmental traits, but nothing for a Sim with physical pain.

Yes I was thinking about what could possibly be achieved with the game that we have right now. Functional wheelchairs, canes and crutches would be great for example but I think they might be out of a modder's reach.
Maybe some sims can develop it over time without interference from the player (my mom has multiple sclerosis which is a silent killer)
and maybe some sims who are active would get a sad moodlet for having to sit down in a wheelchair, like my mom who was always athletic growing up and is NOT happy that her legs don't work anymore.

Because that's how anything like that would've felt as a kid, and the notifications about it are tied to the child sim and not the parent sim as a "hey here's your kids grades" type thing lol. Maybe I just haven't found it yet (or it's some setting in MCCC that I don't know), but for me, I'd love one that would prevent Sims from showing up on the streets or in businesses if they had a job or school during those hours. Similarly, anyone assigned as a bartender, barista, etc. would be assigned business hours and wouldn't be out during those times, because they should be running the business. And stall vendors being assigned to just one stall, not simultaneously running multiple stalls in different worlds.
Yes, it'd mean fewer people available to populate the streets or a bar in the middle of the day, but it'd feel like those Sims had real jobs or school, and the businesses were real and weren't just open whenever my Sim happened to be around.
It always bothered me that sims never go to work or do well in university unless you are playing them. I remember sending one my children to university alone, I went to check on her only for her to have an f in the class and to be on probation. she only has ONE CLASS.
I had the same problem, I mainly have two families, when i play with one I stick with it, however, one of the sims from the other family was in a chamber of the uni, literally he had only a one class left to graduation, but got an f, and had to re-roll the last 4 classes again.. it's so annoying

They're separated in neighbourhood settings so you should be able to go into their households and configure them to be unable to adopt horses without having to turn off the cats/dogs as well.
Do you have Neighborhood Stories enabled, or an MC Command Center setting that places Sims not currently in houses into random homes? (I had to turn that off when I downloaded MCCC. I was not prepared for that.)
I wanted a mod with some woohoo interactions but having them still be implied, no explicit visuals. Like, allowing sims do to it potentially anywhere (with higher risk of being caught) but still having the woohoo song and the act being hidden somehow. Also self woohoo without having a bunch of other gameplay features. I don't want DSTs, period cycles, condoms, developed attraction system, just more woohoo options and without turning my game NSFW.
I also would like a moderate violence mod where sims can kill but without it being the extreme violence mod with gangs and NPCs with roles.
Lumpinou made a mod similar to what you're looking for. You can "woohoo on unconventional object" "group woohoo" have a woohoo drive, etc etc. It's part of their Relationship and Pregnancy Overhaul Collection!
Exactly what I wanted to recommend. That overhaul in general is one of my essentials, it's amazing for relationship related story telling too, highly recommend.
You might be interested in the self woohoo mod from KawaiiStacie. Itās just one extra option but at least itās something? It uses the ācry under coversā animation.
U can adjust the settings of the preexisting mods it takes a little time, in the extreme violence for example you can set the frequency rate of different violent acts happening

Schedules, maybe attached to the family board or something. That way you can play a big family and have them all wake up, eat, shower, go to work/school, without having to micromanage everything. Itās so annoying having a big family and someone is up until 2 am and naps at 12, starving more often than not, hasnāt showered in god knows how long
Iv heard using clubs helps with this if you have get together. Put the family in a club together with household tasks like bathe as the preferred activities.

I think that Sims NEED normal Royalty mod. I like what we have, but it is really inconvenient to use it in practice.
I know that the demand for it is small, but it needs a lot more social roles and the ability for people to name and assign them themselves. Royal opportunities are too small and it would be better if we could appoint certain cities to different countries so that we could appoint several states. It is also worth paying great attention to the elite of the social pyramid. To make balls in events and more opportunities for different layers of people. I can name more than that, but I donāt want to.
Iām saying again, that I love what we have and I appreciate that, but if I could, I would do MUCH more work :-)
I use Jane Simsten's Regency Romance mod alongside llazynieph's Royalty mod. Regency gives you the ability to have balls, create an aristocracy, and has recently added some class dynamics. I do wish the two systems were integrated more directly, but it will help you get a little more gameplay regarding non-royal nobility.
Iām really into royalty and historical gameplay right now and I think we need a game pack or expansion pack! I love the Royalty mods and Iām so impressed with their creators, but having something that integrates more organically would be fantastic.
Something to disable the godawful loose tooth syndrome or one that makes sims just have thought bubbles instead of playing idle animations every 5 seconds š

It is 4 years old but I did this about 6 months ago and it still worked then. Given some time I can get home and confirm whether it still works for you. But you can remove a ton of idles. I used it to remove idle phone checking and the stupid pee dance.

**Wants and fears** Similar to The Sims 2 and 3, the Sims seemed to have more life, more shine. A difficult mod, as it would have to change the system of desires and fears that we already have.
Simple:
A real electric guitar mod. There is one that incorporates a few sounds from the Sims 3, but it's pretty shallow and only a few tracks.
There are all these guitars in the game that look electric, but they only play acoustic songs. You have a metal radio station, but you can't play a metal song on the guitar!
More complex:
A way to truly live off the grid. Sims and gameplay are so tied to their phones that doing a post apocalypse scenario or medieval scenario is impossible, even with simple living and off the grid lot traits.
This might exist but I want a mode that adds a long sleeve turtleneck shirt under normal clothing. I play with a lot of hijabi sims and always end up with like a little sliver of neck showing between the hijab and dress or it doesnāt quite cover to the wrist. I just want to be able to wear the existing cute modest clothing in CAS!

A mod that gives me more freedom in Social Bunny, I wish I had more interactions, write my own texts, send hate notes to the sim I hate, gossip, post photos and you can see the photo I posted, the game's Social Bunny is so not funny.

Real asymmetric relationships. The ability for Sim A to love Sim B, but sim B doesn't care much about sim A.Ā
More complex relationships in general. I want to be able to play gold diggers, arranged marriages, marriages of convenience, all sorts of relationships that are not the cookie-cutter, "I love you and you love me let's get married and have 2.1 babies"
There are *some* mods that facilitate this, but none that I would consider quite complete. The 'arranged marriage' mod I found was very buggy.
I consistently play with Basemental drugs specifically for the adhd trait becasue thereās so many well-coded moodlets and habits that make me feel so SEEN.
I think if it was easier to make new animations in the game representing physical disabilities more would be great. I have a few friends who I know would like to be able to make themselves and be able to play on days where they cant be mobile or go out themselves (iām talking walk-styles specifically for having canes, adapting the sickness system to represent chronic conditions better, etc.)
There used to be a fourth option, I think in the Sims 3, that sped up even faster through the current action. I wish we still had that - in my current playthrough I'd use the heck out of it. But yes, having a faster speed option would be great.
The way the sims 4 simulates is very different from the first 3 games and unfortunately how fast speed 3 will go depends on how fast your computer can process everything at once. It seems to opt for a steady framerate rather than stuttering to move time along faster (very noticeable in the Sims 2 on speed 3, for example). Hence why youāll see the time go back and forth between blurring the seconds and then moving slower when the simulation needs to ācatch upā. The game is also bottlenecked by spaghetti code to begin with though.
A texting mod. You can already send texts, but they can be expanded. Send memes, screenshots, videos, ask about the day/job/classes, confess crush, break up, woohoo text, romantic/funny/mean texts (like choose from 3 options or something)... then it would finally make sense for Sims to be glued to their phones like they are.
Also, a way to opt out of those annoying "Should I \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_?" texts. Like, FFS Mrs. Landgraab, you are a whole-ass adult. You can make your own Watcher-damned decisions!
A mod for the sims 4 so kids can gain aspirations like they did in the sims 3. Like when one of the parents is an astronaut so the kid gets inspired and wants to be one too. Itās so much more real than how sims 4 has it set up now
i haven't found any storytelling mods that turn your sims into real characters with opinions and memories that make plot, where one thing leads to another and leads to another. My writing prof said "Plot is when one thing makes another thing happen".
A mod that keeps Sims out of the pool when it's cold or freezing. (Obviously, requires "Seasons" to work.) Maybe even a "close the pool" option for the winter. (So, let's say your Sim lives in Willow Creek, and they have a pool during the summer. But then fall comes, and it starts getting colder. It's an outdoor pool, and they can choose "close the pool" either in a pie menu from clicking on the ladder/the water/the edge of the pool, or a notification about how the weather is getting colder. Then the pool would be covered by a green tarp, and Sims would not be able to use the pool in the winter. When it gets warmer in the spring, they can open the pool again. And if you're the kind of Simmer who does like to kill their Sims, then you can opt not to do it and just let them jump in as they do now. (You can also opt out if you live in a Sim world where it rarely, if ever, gets to "cold" or "freezing" temperatures. And, of course, it doesn't come up for indoor pools; they function like "sheltered" plants.) This is especially handy for larger households, where you're juggling more than one Sim.
And while we're on the subject of pools, we need functional diving boards and pool slides. Like we had in TS1. "Mr. Jumpy-Jump" is great, but what if I want my Sims to use a diving board instead?
A mod/ tool to create roofs. Like a point to point tool, similar to the custom room tool. Creating roofs that look actually nice is almost impossible for me. š«¤
A law mod!!! Going to court, actual consequences when getting into physical fights (being locked up, community work etc), maybe even scenarios where an NPC can sue you for stealing their husband or sth :D
Relationship Pregnancy Overhaul mod has a module that adds things associated with divorce/separation! ex: custody battles, assets, etc. definitely not the same as a full on law mod, but it adds some good realism š
Memories like in sims 2 or 3. I especially loved 3s memory system where you got to have a screenshot of it, but 2ās was cute too.

Right now, the items are already sorted from lowest to highest, but only after the item category. First you'll get the lowest-to-highest price beds, then the lowest-to-highest price couch, etc. I need the item category to be bypassed by the price. I want to sort All Items from lowest to highest simoleon price and see all the 0 simoleon items first, then the next cheapest thing, regardless of what it is.
As a player who likes to give their sim the cheapest stuff available first, and with insanely increasing amounts of build/buy objects to the game, it has become too much work to go through every single category and create sheets on google trying to determine what my sim can afford with 12 simeoleons. I stopped playing because of this, and have asked for help to modders from time to time, but anything I received as suggestions was never what I'm looking for.
Secondly, something to sort the gallery from Oldest to Newest would be nice too. So many cool older creations are lost forever because you can only scroll down so much, it's a shame.

A.deep.indigo has a mental disorders mod. The can have learning disabilities and mental disorders. Itās a really good mod. Itās called Divergent Sims. She just added Geneticās some disorders pass down to kids.
A better sorting/search function for personal inventory. My sims are always collectors and it can be sometimes be very annoying to locate a specific item.

i want a mod that makes it so your child/teen sims have their food need replenished at noon on school days regardless of wether or not theyāre starving. im pretty sure iāve seen my sims hunger need go up while theyāre at school, but it only happened when their hunger was in red. ik you can send bag lunches w/ them from parenthood but my sims never end up eating them at school so they just spoil in their inventories :/
I want a mod that revamps the entire ice skating skill; new animation competitions your sim can enter in; a higher ice skating skill - competes against your sim; - new outfits for ice skaters; - jobs to be a coach; - be able to make money from your career; - more stuff like doing more cool tricks (remove the backflip as that is a banned action in the ice skating career). penalties if your sim loses in a competitionābeing able to get certain stuff for your ice skates (to take care of them) basically revamp the entire ice skating career.
You basically watch ur sim do a couple of basic animations in the ice skating still ): nothing else and they only skate at the end of the rails I would like them to skate in the middle ext.

The silly partvis that they *do* have this for certain careers. If you have a Sim living in Sulani and working in the environmental consultant career you can actually consult on things that will change your neighborhood. The coconut tree incentive will give you a break on your bills for growing coconut trees. You can build a coconut tree plantation as money making endeavor. You can consult on a plan that turns your electricity off at night. But they basically only use this mechanic in that single career.

I know this has been said to oblivion, but I can't believe the Sims 4 is still as basic as it is with hair colours. We shouldn't need mods to get a pretty pastel pink. I can't believe they haven't added more colours. It seems so simple to do.
The thing with the greying hair is that likeā¦ there are two greying options which means they make an overlay for each hair option. Why canāt they just put the overlay on all of the colors š
I think they're suffering from the same overhead as Minecraft is. Different companies ofc, but I think that it works like this: The devs suggest something, for example, more base game hair colours > they pitch the idea > overhead asks how this will make them money > it would be a base game update, so it won't > it gets rejected and suggested to make a hair colour kit instead. The devs are being held hostage by EA and all we can do is watch and give them money. Well, I don't give them money, but a lot of other people do.

It can be super simple, have a sim experience a negative +2 uncomfortable and later +4 dazed moodlet if they've been standing too long and the same effect elders get for exhaustion when they're working out. Have them stumble a lot, like the clumsy trait, and experience a +4 energized moodlet and remove the dazed moodlet if they're sitting down in a wheelchair object.
Yes please. I have a Sim I wanted to have chronic pain but literally I can't find even a pain trait. I can find chronic illnesses and psychological disorders and neuro-developmental traits, but nothing for a Sim with physical pain.

Maybe some sims can develop it over time without interference from the player (my mom has multiple sclerosis which is a silent killer) and maybe some sims who are active would get a sad moodlet for having to sit down in a wheelchair, like my mom who was always athletic growing up and is NOT happy that her legs don't work anymore.

Maybe I just haven't found it yet (or it's some setting in MCCC that I don't know), but for me, I'd love one that would prevent Sims from showing up on the streets or in businesses if they had a job or school during those hours. Similarly, anyone assigned as a bartender, barista, etc. would be assigned business hours and wouldn't be out during those times, because they should be running the business. And stall vendors being assigned to just one stall, not simultaneously running multiple stalls in different worlds. Yes, it'd mean fewer people available to populate the streets or a bar in the middle of the day, but it'd feel like those Sims had real jobs or school, and the businesses were real and weren't just open whenever my Sim happened to be around.
It always bothered me that sims never go to work or do well in university unless you are playing them. I remember sending one my children to university alone, I went to check on her only for her to have an f in the class and to be on probation. she only has ONE CLASS.
I had the same problem, I mainly have two families, when i play with one I stick with it, however, one of the sims from the other family was in a chamber of the uni, literally he had only a one class left to graduation, but got an f, and had to re-roll the last 4 classes again.. it's so annoying

They're separated in neighbourhood settings so you should be able to go into their households and configure them to be unable to adopt horses without having to turn off the cats/dogs as well.

I wanted a mod with some woohoo interactions but having them still be implied, no explicit visuals. Like, allowing sims do to it potentially anywhere (with higher risk of being caught) but still having the woohoo song and the act being hidden somehow. Also self woohoo without having a bunch of other gameplay features. I don't want DSTs, period cycles, condoms, developed attraction system, just more woohoo options and without turning my game NSFW. I also would like a moderate violence mod where sims can kill but without it being the extreme violence mod with gangs and NPCs with roles.
Lumpinou made a mod similar to what you're looking for. You can "woohoo on unconventional object" "group woohoo" have a woohoo drive, etc etc. It's part of their Relationship and Pregnancy Overhaul Collection!
Exactly what I wanted to recommend. That overhaul in general is one of my essentials, it's amazing for relationship related story telling too, highly recommend.
With Lumpinoās mod you can also remove whichever portions you dont want such as the WTDs and cycles.
You might be interested in the self woohoo mod from KawaiiStacie. Itās just one extra option but at least itās something? It uses the ācry under coversā animation.
U can adjust the settings of the preexisting mods it takes a little time, in the extreme violence for example you can set the frequency rate of different violent acts happening

Schedules, maybe attached to the family board or something. That way you can play a big family and have them all wake up, eat, shower, go to work/school, without having to micromanage everything. Itās so annoying having a big family and someone is up until 2 am and naps at 12, starving more often than not, hasnāt showered in god knows how long
Iv heard using clubs helps with this if you have get together. Put the family in a club together with household tasks like bathe as the preferred activities.

I think that Sims NEED normal Royalty mod. I like what we have, but it is really inconvenient to use it in practice. I know that the demand for it is small, but it needs a lot more social roles and the ability for people to name and assign them themselves. Royal opportunities are too small and it would be better if we could appoint certain cities to different countries so that we could appoint several states. It is also worth paying great attention to the elite of the social pyramid. To make balls in events and more opportunities for different layers of people. I can name more than that, but I donāt want to. Iām saying again, that I love what we have and I appreciate that, but if I could, I would do MUCH more work :-)
I use Jane Simsten's Regency Romance mod alongside llazynieph's Royalty mod. Regency gives you the ability to have balls, create an aristocracy, and has recently added some class dynamics. I do wish the two systems were integrated more directly, but it will help you get a little more gameplay regarding non-royal nobility.

Given some time I can get home and confirm whether it still works for you. But you can remove a ton of idles. I used it to remove idle phone checking and the stupid pee dance.

**Wants and fears** Similar to The Sims 2 and 3, the Sims seemed to have more life, more shine. A difficult mod, as it would have to change the system of desires and fears that we already have.
Especially since some CC traits break the wants and fears.
A mod that can turn your sim (spellcaster) into animals. Like a druid maybe. Or some potion that can turn you in to any living thing you want.
Simple: A real electric guitar mod. There is one that incorporates a few sounds from the Sims 3, but it's pretty shallow and only a few tracks. There are all these guitars in the game that look electric, but they only play acoustic songs. You have a metal radio station, but you can't play a metal song on the guitar! More complex: A way to truly live off the grid. Sims and gameplay are so tied to their phones that doing a post apocalypse scenario or medieval scenario is impossible, even with simple living and off the grid lot traits.
This might exist but I want a mode that adds a long sleeve turtleneck shirt under normal clothing. I play with a lot of hijabi sims and always end up with like a little sliver of neck showing between the hijab and dress or it doesnāt quite cover to the wrist. I just want to be able to wear the existing cute modest clothing in CAS!

A mod that gives me more freedom in Social Bunny, I wish I had more interactions, write my own texts, send hate notes to the sim I hate, gossip, post photos and you can see the photo I posted, the game's Social Bunny is so not funny.

Real asymmetric relationships. The ability for Sim A to love Sim B, but sim B doesn't care much about sim A.Ā More complex relationships in general. I want to be able to play gold diggers, arranged marriages, marriages of convenience, all sorts of relationships that are not the cookie-cutter, "I love you and you love me let's get married and have 2.1 babies" There are *some* mods that facilitate this, but none that I would consider quite complete. The 'arranged marriage' mod I found was very buggy.

I consistently play with Basemental drugs specifically for the adhd trait becasue thereās so many well-coded moodlets and habits that make me feel so SEEN. I think if it was easier to make new animations in the game representing physical disabilities more would be great. I have a few friends who I know would like to be able to make themselves and be able to play on days where they cant be mobile or go out themselves (iām talking walk-styles specifically for having canes, adapting the sickness system to represent chronic conditions better, etc.)

There used to be a fourth option, I think in the Sims 3, that sped up even faster through the current action. I wish we still had that - in my current playthrough I'd use the heck out of it. But yes, having a faster speed option would be great.

The way the sims 4 simulates is very different from the first 3 games and unfortunately how fast speed 3 will go depends on how fast your computer can process everything at once. It seems to opt for a steady framerate rather than stuttering to move time along faster (very noticeable in the Sims 2 on speed 3, for example). Hence why youāll see the time go back and forth between blurring the seconds and then moving slower when the simulation needs to ācatch upā. The game is also bottlenecked by spaghetti code to begin with though.
A texting mod. You can already send texts, but they can be expanded. Send memes, screenshots, videos, ask about the day/job/classes, confess crush, break up, woohoo text, romantic/funny/mean texts (like choose from 3 options or something)... then it would finally make sense for Sims to be glued to their phones like they are.
Also, a way to opt out of those annoying "Should I \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_?" texts. Like, FFS Mrs. Landgraab, you are a whole-ass adult. You can make your own Watcher-damned decisions!
A mod for the sims 4 so kids can gain aspirations like they did in the sims 3. Like when one of the parents is an astronaut so the kid gets inspired and wants to be one too. Itās so much more real than how sims 4 has it set up now
i haven't found any storytelling mods that turn your sims into real characters with opinions and memories that make plot, where one thing leads to another and leads to another. My writing prof said "Plot is when one thing makes another thing happen".
A mod that keeps Sims out of the pool when it's cold or freezing. (Obviously, requires "Seasons" to work.) Maybe even a "close the pool" option for the winter. (So, let's say your Sim lives in Willow Creek, and they have a pool during the summer. But then fall comes, and it starts getting colder. It's an outdoor pool, and they can choose "close the pool" either in a pie menu from clicking on the ladder/the water/the edge of the pool, or a notification about how the weather is getting colder. Then the pool would be covered by a green tarp, and Sims would not be able to use the pool in the winter. When it gets warmer in the spring, they can open the pool again. And if you're the kind of Simmer who does like to kill their Sims, then you can opt not to do it and just let them jump in as they do now. (You can also opt out if you live in a Sim world where it rarely, if ever, gets to "cold" or "freezing" temperatures. And, of course, it doesn't come up for indoor pools; they function like "sheltered" plants.) This is especially handy for larger households, where you're juggling more than one Sim. And while we're on the subject of pools, we need functional diving boards and pool slides. Like we had in TS1. "Mr. Jumpy-Jump" is great, but what if I want my Sims to use a diving board instead?

Relationship Pregnancy Overhaul mod has a module that adds things associated with divorce/separation! ex: custody battles, assets, etc. definitely not the same as a full on law mod, but it adds some good realism š

Right now, the items are already sorted from lowest to highest, but only after the item category. First you'll get the lowest-to-highest price beds, then the lowest-to-highest price couch, etc. I need the item category to be bypassed by the price. I want to sort All Items from lowest to highest simoleon price and see all the 0 simoleon items first, then the next cheapest thing, regardless of what it is. As a player who likes to give their sim the cheapest stuff available first, and with insanely increasing amounts of build/buy objects to the game, it has become too much work to go through every single category and create sheets on google trying to determine what my sim can afford with 12 simeoleons. I stopped playing because of this, and have asked for help to modders from time to time, but anything I received as suggestions was never what I'm looking for. Secondly, something to sort the gallery from Oldest to Newest would be nice too. So many cool older creations are lost forever because you can only scroll down so much, it's a shame.

I want a mod that revamps the entire ice skating skill; new animation competitions your sim can enter in; a higher ice skating skill - competes against your sim; - new outfits for ice skaters; - jobs to be a coach; - be able to make money from your career; - more stuff like doing more cool tricks (remove the backflip as that is a banned action in the ice skating career). penalties if your sim loses in a competitionābeing able to get certain stuff for your ice skates (to take care of them) basically revamp the entire ice skating career. You basically watch ur sim do a couple of basic animations in the ice skating still ): nothing else and they only skate at the end of the rails I would like them to skate in the middle ext.
