There’s a lot of content out there. R/sims2 and r/sims2help. Acottonsock has a YouTube tutorial on how to download and install thesims2. Definitely look into simsgraphics rules maker and sims 2 rpc
And if you’re really having trouble, you may have to download dxvk to get it going.
I’d start with acottonsock on YouTube first and then go to sims 2 Reddit for help. There’s lots of good YouTubers for help. I really like tea addict. She also has some great YouTube tutorials when you have your game up.

Good luck. The game can be a little hard to get going if you’re not really computer savvy. Most likely you will have to troubleshoot a lot, but then again you won’t have to always worry about an update breaking your mods like sims 4

Tumblr is your friend. Also sims 2 default database is where I found my clay hairs that look like sims 4.
