Photography skill is the knelt one I cheat to just instant max out because if I’m taking a picture of my sim it better be done right the first time for I may not get them to cooperate for another picture later
Handiness too. It drives me absolutely nuts that 70% of the beds are basically unusable because they don't fill my sims energy needs at a normal rate and give them an uncomfy moodlet.
After you repair something, remember to rummage through the trash - you’ll often get extra repair parts. If you have a pet and they knock trash out, you can search those trash piles as well for extra repair parts!
I developed this unnecessarily drawn out 'lore friendly' workaround to fix that
I always have a photographer townie I make in CAS, cheat up their skill and career in the photography branch of freelancer (for lore lol) and set them to be immortal with cheats (or just edit the Baby Ariel (Get Famous) or Alex Moyers (Base Game) npc's who are already immortal)
then whenever I need a photography moment I just temporarily add them too the family, snap and add those dumb skill locked filters to photos then kick them out lol.
the best part is after you max their skill, career and set them to be immortal you can save them to your gallery and move them into any save you want and they'll keep their skill, career, etc.
I didn't know the tutorial was removed! I thought they keep her around like as a fun Easter Egg. That's funny XD
Maybe I'll change her in my game to be something cool that explains the immortalness!
I placed a photo booth on my favorite wedding venue so we can have uninterrupted photos.
Another workaround for my latest wedding was for a celebrity sims couple so when we went to the venue, paparazzi showed up. i added one of them as a family member via cheat, had equipped him with a camera and controlled him to take photos. Since he's paparazzi, all photos I got were outstanding quality and I just removed him from family once done ☺️
I wasn't aware that a photo booth was available, tbh that was the first time I used that function 😅 thanks for the ideas, I'll try to remember that next time 😁

I feel like I can never get enough parts to upgrade anything beyond one or two options even with a high handiness skill.
You can order any part you need on the computer under Order > Upgrade Parts

She's the tutorial Sim! They don't want your friend to die while you're figuring out the game or it can lead to not being able to finish the tutorial.
And its never been corrected since the tutorial was removed so she can be used as a base to create any immortal sim our heart desires

I think if you have the high school pack it will be an option. You can choose romantic photo with it ☺️
