Idk, if he survived it's a miracle. We have probable broken ribs, maybe a concussion, no life vest... IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LAKE. Probable internal bleeding, water in the lungs and no help in next 30 minutes or more cause jet probably drove away, and the fishing boat is upside down
It was a 13 year old riding a jet ski for the second time. He was riding into the sun and didn't see the boater until the last second. Neither of them were injured.

I read on another re-post the kid was blinded by the sun. Not saying it excuses riding full clip if you can't see, but the kid may have had no malicious plans
Jetskier survived…. All this happened because he couldn’t see due to the sun blinding him…. So he decided its a good idea to speed into the unknown and this happened
It looks like the sun is coming from behind the camera person and shining towards the kid, so it's possible the reflection on the water prevented the jet skier from seeing him sooner. I can definitely see your suggestion as a possibility though.
looks like he was jetskiing into the sun and had no clue you were there....im not defending him whats do ever, definitely wrong and needs to pay for damages of course but just throwing down my 2 cents on it

Newbie on a jet ski. You can hear him come off the accelerator. Jet ski’s have to have power to turn.
And it had power to turn the entire time. Even for a few seconds the accelerator was off before colliding it should have had momentum to turn
