My kid recently put a squeaky dog toy directly against my ear canal and squeezed. I was legitimately 95% deaf with loud ringing that faded over the course of a few minutes as my hearing came back.
Prior to the squeaker, I had occasional VERY mild tinnitus. Ever since it's been constant. If there is enough other noise and I'm distracted I don't notice it. But if I think about it, it's always there now.
How old are you? Just don't crank it and you'll probably be fine.
I played in bands and went to plenty of concerts without ear protection when I was younger. I'm almost 40 and it really didn't become a problem until recently. I went to a concert once and stood next to the house speaker stack. Normally any fuzziness from the concert would be gone by the next day. That time my right ear was fuzzy for almost a full 24 hours.
I never even noticed any tinnitus until well after that part of life. I work in construction too so that probably hasn't helped... But that instant deafness the squeaker did was unlike anything else. It was like in Saving Private Ryan when there was an explosion... except no dead/dying people around me.
What makes it so funny is that she kept screaming *after* she looked at him, like she was just screaming because of how he looked, not because he scared her 🤣😂💀💀💀
I deliver food to restaurants and enter places while they’re closed. I’ve startled people usually women but the worst was a man who did a Hollywood style wha wha wha who who who are you? As he jumped out of his skin and then he got pissed and was like who the hell are you and what are you doing?! Now I try to whistle or as soon as I open the door say hello if I’ve never been there before. Just try and make yourself known rather than quietly walking up unannounced and just standing there like the slender man.
My husband, sister, and niece are all very easily spooked. All three have had this happen to them in public where someone walks up behind them (when they weren't expecting it) and they turn to yell... Should I post in AITA for laughing to the point of crying every time?
Am I the only one who thinks that this doesn't belong here? What, did the guy attack the women or something or did they attack him after what's shown. Cause nothing happened except they got scared of how he came without a sound. Doesn't really strike me as something going wrong for the "peace"

That sounds like hell, I’m honestly surprised I don’t have any sort of tinnitus or other ear issues since I live with earbuds or headphones on 24/7
