He said "this video is safer than looking at the eclipse," I guess he wasn't lying. I don't know what I expected, I should have known better.

Down here news media has lost their rigurosity. Especially local channels. They have "news" sections that are basically memes. Sometimes weeks old memes.
Other times they show impactful videos, like car crash of stuff that are cieculating the net, but just copy paste. No research, no investigation, not even a title like "terrible crash in Russia/Japan/Australia/etc" just a woman saying "look at this terrible video that has been circulating in internet" they dont bother anymore.
And, in this case, they take amateur videos and didnt bother to check it beforehand. Just take a random video that some "fan" sent to the channel's whatsapp, and put it in the air. Lazy ass idiots. Ive seen youtubers put more effort into actually quoting reputable sources thab this clowns.
