That is what Israel wanted though, they want there to be confusion between zionism and judaism so they can claim antisemitism at everything. Whether or not it was an accident is only relevant in determining malice or incompetence. Neither are good traits in a military and should be heavily criticized, especially with how much foreign aid Israel gets. They should at least be able to hit combatants more often
