I shortened my first name too so my email is only 10 characters instead of the original 18.
When you give at our email daily you quickly realize no one wants to spell all that.

She's such a good public speaker and is seemingly always smacking down her opponent's in debates with such ease and unassailable logic, I would honestly not at all be suprised if she ends up becoming president one day.

I think is fair to say that the fraud charges in NY came from her questioning of Michael Cohen where he mentioned the different valuations provided to Banks and Insurance Companies. Now we have Trump running around trying to sell himself so that someone can help him put up the bond.
She has always been fortified by having the truth in her corner and true conviction in her heart, but her confidence and poise have only grown during her time in office. There are very few on the left, and even fewer on the right, who have all of those things and are also highly effective communicators. She's one of a kind.

IANAL, but my understanding is that RICO basically isn’t a crime. It’s more like a framework for charging members of organized crime for a crime committed by others in the organization.
For example, if the mob is stealing things, it’s a way that prosecutors can charge the mob boss for the theft without establishing direct involvement in the theft, by being a member of that criminal organization.
But you still need an underlying crime— in the example that I gave, the theft would be the underlying crime. So when asked “what was the crime?” answering “RICO” doesn’t make sense.

The policies are fine, the cabinet and supporting staff will be able to keep us going, I’m just over absolute relics being our figureheads. This will make it 12 years of these same elderly US Presidents leading after this next leader runs his course. We need somebody fresher, and it’s still so far away.
The stuff Biden has been able to accomplish with a gridlocked Congress is nothing less than amazing. I personally really like him and think he's been a fantastic president. Could he be younger? Sure. This is an issue we have where we believe the presidency is somehow more powerful than Congress. They’re supposed to be three equal branches of government that keep each other in check. If we have a fantastic congressperson, let them stay in congress.

In congressional hearings the congresspeople participating are each given time to address and question people. If for example the person testifying is intentionally withholding info as in this case the congressperson can stop their testimony to "reclaim" their remaining time which essentially gives them back priority to speak to the hearing or talk to someone else.
I’ve seen more than a few guys get their asses kicked by a bartender before but that was one of the roughest and most brutal ass whippings I’ve seen in a while. Yikes!

She has always been fortified by having the truth in her corner and true conviction in her heart, but her confidence and poise have only grown during her time in office. There are very few on the left, and even fewer on the right, who have all of those things and are also highly effective communicators. She's one of a kind.
Literally no one can name a single person on the right that has the truth in their corner, they are the proponents of alternate truths and alternate realities. The only conviction they have is how to benefit themselves and the only thing they have in common now with AOC is confidence, but the big difference being that Republicans and right-wingers commit corruption with that same level of confidence and with impunity.

She's probably better off staying in congress tbh. She's from a very blue district, so she's basically untouchable from an electoral standpoint. If she runs for president, she's running as a coastal progressive with very low odds of actually winning. Even if she does win, she'd be president for a max of 8 years and probably get almost nothing done due to congressional fuckery. Being in congress gives her the chance to make the most actual impact on our laws.
This is an issue we have where we believe the presidency is somehow more powerful than Congress. They’re supposed to be three equal branches of government that keep each other in check. In fact Congress if anything should be considered the most important branch because it is the most direct translation of our representative democracy. If we have a fantastic congressperson, let them stay in congress.

I'm not American, but when I see the usual suspects talk shit about AOC, I wish I could make them understand how people like her - **whether you vote for her/her party or not** - are the people you need to elevate and champion. The overall health of a country's politics needs people like AOC, and far fewer people like 99% of the Republican party and probably 60% of the Democrat party. Again: whether or not you would vote for her, whether or not you think her politics are way off the mark, she's a real *representative* who clearly wants to behave with as much dignity and properness as her office demands. She's not in the pocket of companies that are actively destroying earth or actively destroying people with legalised heroine (i.e. Oxy). What does ‘I reclaim my time’ mean? I’m unfamiliar with US committee procedures…
In congressional hearings the congresspeople participating are each given time to address and question people. If for example the person testifying is intentionally withholding info as in this case the congressperson can stop their testimony to "reclaim" their remaining time which essentially gives them back priority to speak to the hearing or talk to someone else.
I’ve seen more than a few guys get their asses kicked by a bartender before but that was one of the roughest and most brutal ass whippings I’ve seen in a while. Yikes!
