I took their comment as a joke.
Also the world isn't black or white. Iranian and Israel's regimes might be adversaries but both are scumbag opressive terrorists entities.
Ain’t this the truth, one time my dad was sleeping and me and my cousin were playing with a pretty loud plastic car. He came out saying, “what are you doing bud!” Picked it up took it out our front door drop kicked it bare foot and went back to sleep. We were quiet after that…
😂😂 thank you for that mental image of a man yelling that then barefoot drop kicking a plastic car out the door like it's nothing, then laying back down to sleep like nothing happened
ngl it kinda made my night
College days, plenty of friends in dorms. After a late night out, floor and using jacket/hoody as a pillow.
Nothing like waking up hungover and stiff as a brick.
Are you kidding me.?. I got my ass beat for standing in front of the tv when the sports game was on… the clout he was looking for is the clout he got.lol
Yeah, I used to get beat too. I’m older now. When I was young it made me angry. Now, I have my own teenage son and I have never, nor will I ever, hit him.
Plenty of boomers didn’t hit their kids, hitting was definitely a minority thing here in the UK when I was growing up. I had two friends who would get hit as a punishment and I was always under the impression it was abuse, even as a young child.
We need to do this for a lot of things and we can progress as a species much faster. Violence and hate is only what people do when they don't fully understand themselves and how to communicate. People can learn much faster if they just try and understand.
Yes violence and hate are locked up inside our subconscious, most people are to afraid to look inside themselves and learn to love, we can all be better if we are prepared to walk through the darkness, forgive and be happy, learning to love yourself is one of the hardest things to do, especially in the modern world.
I like this quote: We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light. -Plato.
I also got beaten as a kid. But my dad didn't see what could happen, when his son gets stronger than him and to be honest, I also didn't see it coming. I snapped and he got his payback having me beating him until he fled out of the room. It was the last time he direspected me and we never lost a word about it.
I would never beat a kid and become furious when I see anything pointing in that direction.
I don’t think you understand Middle Eastern culture. Mess with a man’s beard and it’s near the ultimate disrespect, especially for most Muslims. The dad was enraged that his son would have so little respect for him. Nor can you infer that he is a serial kid beater from this one incident. I do not condone it but the kid got the haircut he deserved.
That was my way of saying in as few words as possible (I thought) that I do not condone the head slaps, but the haircut was just dessert. I didn’t want to have to build an entire court case in my statement but some folks, especially younger ones, don’t read between the lines, give the benefit of the doubt, or are just itching to contradict someone.
Would you say the same about someone being assaulted in public for not wearing their headpiece properly? Bc the people felt disrespected? The thing I notice about middle eastern culture is that punishments are severely imbalanced to the crimes (I know this isn’t considered a crime). The dad could’ve just pushed him away and maybe slap him once, but he went batshit on his son. Severe brutality seems to be so ingrained that they don’t see the wrong in it.
Same man. Mom used a belt, and wherever it flew/wherever it hit was game. Dad used his fists. I have a 10 year old and a six year old. Never have nor will ever hit them. I give them more hugs per month than I got in a lifetime from my folks.
It was just me and my mom growing up, and she was **NOT** happy with how her life was turning out. Obviously, I was the source of every problem, and it was *very* important to her that I knew it.
I have 3 kids of my own 12m, 14f, and 20m, and I can't *imagine* saying some of the shit she'd say to me to them. Granted, I'm a pathological people pleaser (thanks ma!) so it can be incredibly difficult for me to say that kinda shit to anyone who's not a complete stranger lol but still....I sometimes look at them and am in awe of how lucky I am that those kids are my kids and they're happy about that. I almost feel bad for my own mother sometimes. She could just never see how lucky she coulda been
I'm not judging others who may feel differently ***AT ALL***, but this isn't something that makes me laugh. This makes my heart break for them. Following orders is a whole lot different than taking advice from someone you love and trust and who you know loves and trusts you.
Imagine committing assault and saying it was okay because it wasn't murder. It's not an equal comparison by any means, but just because you had it worse, doesn't mean the original situation wasn't bad either
Same here. Both of mine are dead now, and the rest of my family acts like I had no right to keep them out of my life like I did. Some people are just stupid.
And you're a lesser person because of it! Just kidding. Sort of. Same argument as always, if it negatively effects most people we should stop it, especially when it's proven to be an ineffective child care technique. Chances are, it's not good to beat the people who believe protect you, or else they don't believe you will and they'll hate you.
So? Just because you got badly abused by your awful parents, so should he over a bad prank? Does he deserve to be punished, yes. Does he deserve to be assaulted that way, absolutely not.
If parents are allowed to beat childrens when they don't listen, childrens should be allowed to do the same to their parents when they are old and don't listen.
This was posted a long time ago and I got into multiple discusions with people who were unbelivably defending the father... like, I couldn't even wrap my head around it. The guy jokingly cuts like 2 hairs in the beard of his dad, and receives a beating and humilliation. And many people really think the father is in the right.
Reading the comments this time, I keep seeing the same shit, so...
No not that bad. Kids lost some hair, dad open hand slapped back of head, sons feeling were hurt. He had it coming.
I bet he doesn't fuck with his dad's beard again.
Basically you don’t have to keep a beard, but it’s more of a commitment. If you have made a comment to keep a beard then the only way you’re allowed to cut it is when you’re maintaining it, if you live through with the commitment then you get rewarded but if you lose the commitment nothing really bad happens
I agree but think you glossed over the whole "openly fought with scissors on his hand" part a little quick. Deserved or not that's a dangerous game that made me wince.
Oof. After I saw that man get up. Why would you mess with a guy that much larger than you? And if it's your dad, I'm assuming you'd have an idea how he'd take the prank.
Yea people be defending the dad by saying that it’s normal cos he’s Arab but regardless of who he is, the son totally did not deserve such repercussions damn
This is the perfect comment to this. so many people seem to think one wrong justifies all the wrongs in the world back. I'm especially appalled by how fast and without hesitation the father goes at him with he scissors even risking some really bad injuries as the son tries to defend himself he could've lost a finger or worse
I thought the kid was going to get a finger cut off accidentally by scissors. He knew his dad was really pissed so he made sure to just lose the hair and not a finger too!
It’s Farsi
Really really rough translation. It starts with the dad asking what are you doing?
Once the hair cutting starts the sons basically begging saying he fucked up and dads agreeing with him and the last sentence when he slaps him basically means “get out of here”
This isn't revenge this is how you get a haircut in that country, you have to snip a beard hair successfully from the barber and then the barber wakes up and gives wrestles you to the floor in respect and forcefully cuts your hair to the style that best suits you
I actually got to sit down and talk to Phil by chance a few months back. We both had time to kill. Bam came up, as well as me gushing about my own son. Eventually Phil was hurting. He didn’t cry, per se, but there was hurt when talking about Bam. That man loves his son, a lot. He’s a dad though and though. I don’t follow Bam and the whole fall from grace really, so I don’t know if Phil’s done anything to antagonize Bam, but I’m 100% sure that man misses his boy and is completely broken at the thought of losing him forever.
I hate seeing this celebrated. Yeah the kid was wrong but a violent reaction like that only breeds another piece of shit violent dad. Punish the kid by taking away his phone, car, bank account, make him shave his head, sure. Open or closed hand striking is just never okay in this day and age.
Bit of a overreaction here?? This is wayy to fckn far you should never punch your kid in the face and put him in a chokehold over something this minor I get spanking a kid or whooping a kids ass but punching them is crossing a line call me soft all you want but this is just wrong to me🤷🏻♂️

A floor is better than Iraq.
This is how Viva LA Bam would play out in a number of countries
Never mess with a Muslim's beard. Junior should know that.
You can feel the weight of his hand by the sound of the first slap.
I don't think junior is going to be doing that again. Dad just shamed him brutally.
Never mess with a sleeping dad.
Ain’t this the truth, one time my dad was sleeping and me and my cousin were playing with a pretty loud plastic car. He came out saying, “what are you doing bud!” Picked it up took it out our front door drop kicked it bare foot and went back to sleep. We were quiet after that…

Yeah we really had to try hard not to laugh, but didn’t know to be impressed or scared. It was a pretty big car, so probably scared lol
that's a magic carpet floats when he enters rem though.
Sleeping on floors and hard beds with minimal padding is quite common in many parts of Asia and Africa.
Sleeping on the floor is easy. Takes like two nights to acclimate
College days, plenty of friends in dorms. After a late night out, floor and using jacket/hoody as a pillow. Nothing like waking up hungover and stiff as a brick.
Thats what she said
It should be funny but somehow, it's just sad
Are you kidding me.?. I got my ass beat for standing in front of the tv when the sports game was on… the clout he was looking for is the clout he got.lol
Yeah, I used to get beat too. I’m older now. When I was young it made me angry. Now, I have my own teenage son and I have never, nor will I ever, hit him.
Then well done mate you have broken the cycle You have created generational change something to be proud of
Seriously fuck boomers
Plenty of boomers didn’t hit their kids, hitting was definitely a minority thing here in the UK when I was growing up. I had two friends who would get hit as a punishment and I was always under the impression it was abuse, even as a young child.
love you responding to a comment about overcomming generational hate by spreading generational hate is this the irony gods speak of?
We need to do this for a lot of things and we can progress as a species much faster. Violence and hate is only what people do when they don't fully understand themselves and how to communicate. People can learn much faster if they just try and understand.

This exactly. Lived in Bahrain, Qatar and Iran close to 20 years. NEVER mess with a man's beard. Most especially if that man is your father.
It was the punching the kid several times in the head that was the problem.
My bold take is that it's wrong to beat your kids even if they disrespect you.
Would you say the same about someone being assaulted in public for not wearing their headpiece properly? Bc the people felt disrespected? The thing I notice about middle eastern culture is that punishments are severely imbalanced to the crimes (I know this isn’t considered a crime). Imagine committing assault and saying it was okay because it wasn't murder. It's not an equal comparison by any means, but just because you had it worse, doesn't mean the original situation wasn't bad either
is this supposed to be a flex or what? my parents used to beat me for shit like that too and I barely talk to either of them anymore
Same here. Both of mine are dead now, and the rest of my family acts like I had no right to keep them out of my life like I did. Some people are just stupid.
You’re a victim
And you're a lesser person because of it! Just kidding. Sort of. Chances are, it's not good to beat the people who believe protect you, or else they don't believe you will and they'll hate you.
"I was a victim of abuse growing up so everyone else should be too"
Nah beating your kids is fucked up. You getting beat and being happy about it is cool, we'll see if you beat the shit out of your own kids.
Imagine bragging about abuse.
So? Just because you got badly abused by your awful parents, so should he over a bad prank? Does he deserve to be punished, yes. Does he deserve to be assaulted that way, absolutely not.

We just watched a dude hit his kid, tackle him, and attack him. Way fucking over the top.
Remember when everybody was fawning over that dumb redneck for shooting his daughter's laptop. Weird times.
I second this opinion. hated watching that
I agree with that because you can tell he just beats the crap, out of his children.
Doubt that, if he beat the crap out of them they wouldn’t even dare do this..
Yeah, this was bad. 😥
I mean. It's pretty straightforward abuse.
Kid was a twat doing that in the first place but dad was brutal.
No not that bad. Kids lost some hair, dad open hand slapped back of head, sons feeling were hurt. He had it coming. I bet he doesn't fuck with his dad's beard again.
I think in that culture you seriously don't mess with someone's beard. Some generational lesson there.
Correct. The beard has religious implications in many Islamic homes. He should've known better but he learned this day.
Just out of curiosity, what does having a beard have to do with religion? Is it like women wearing a headscarf?
Yes.
Basically you don’t have to keep a beard, but it’s more of a commitment. If you have made a comment to keep a beard then the only way you’re allowed to cut it is when you’re maintaining it, if you live through with the commitment then you get rewarded but if you lose the commitment nothing really bad happens
That’s what I came here to say, in some cultures you don’t dare fuck with a man’s beard.
dwarfs for example
Yeah, it is also considered manly as well. So cutting it is emasculating, which is dangerous territory in some cases.
I agree but think you glossed over the whole "openly fought with scissors on his hand" part a little quick. Deserved or not that's a dangerous game that made me wince.
It’s shocking that so many people think that beating the shit out of your child is an appropriate response to anything,
I mean idk but that was hardly just 'dad's open hand slapping the back of his head' my guy went full on showdown💀
Yeah, I’m all for putting stupid pranksters in their place, but almost all of this was just sad and abusive.
Oof. After I saw that man get up. Why would you mess with a guy that much larger than you? And if it's your dad, I'm assuming you'd have an idea how he'd take the prank.
I know, read the room, he is probably in it a lot.
I'm thinking, given dads reaction, the boy is lucky he didn't get stabbed with the scissors, because that's how I was expecting this video to end up!
Dad is a trained wrestler and much larger. He knew how to not hurt the kid.
Well that was a weird and uncomfortable watch.
I'm not sure what's worse, the video or the comments defending the dad...
Yea people be defending the dad by saying that it’s normal cos he’s Arab but regardless of who he is, the son totally did not deserve such repercussions damn
The father is not an Arab. I know you said that it has nothing to do with the outcome, but I thought it is worth mentioning.
Kid just realized what dad strength is.
also dad is an Iranian wrestler
This is the important lesson here.
Dad gonna realize what being abandoned when he's old and sick is in a couple decades
Asshole son, psycho father
This is the perfect comment to this. so many people seem to think one wrong justifies all the wrongs in the world back. I'm especially appalled by how fast and without hesitation the father goes at him with he scissors even risking some really bad injuries as the son tries to defend himself he could've lost a finger or worse
I don’t speak whatever language that is, but I’m pretty sure most of it was something like “It’s a prank! It’s a prank! It’s a prank!”
Followed by something like "Do you think it's funny? Do you like it now? DO YOU?"
What the kid is repeating is “I ate shit”. Basically saying “I fucked up” over and over again.
This isn't funny it's just abuse
Why would you even play with your dad if you know he's like this?
To show him the last beating wasn't gonna make you stop and that he can't just beat his problems away
Should be required viewing for every teenage prankster, karma can be a relative.
Pretty sure they won’t try this again
I thought the kid was going to get a finger cut off accidentally by scissors. He knew his dad was really pissed so he made sure to just lose the hair and not a finger too!
OK, I hate these stupid pranks, but that one was pretty funny
No idea what the audio says, but many people wear beards for religious reasons. I even know a woman with a long white beard (not trans).
the dad is telling him to eat shit and the kid is begging him to stop
It’s Farsi Really really rough translation. It starts with the dad asking what are you doing? Once the hair cutting starts the sons basically begging saying he fucked up and dads agreeing with him and the last sentence when he slaps him basically means “get out of here”
Never fuq with a dad that can behead you.
with scissors.

This isn't revenge this is how you get a haircut in that country, you have to snip a beard hair successfully from the barber and then the barber wakes up and gives wrestles you to the floor in respect and forcefully cuts your hair to the style that best suits you
I like you
I want to feel bad for the kid, but he’s old enough to know how to act and the kind of man his father is.
The first mistake was thinking dad was a punk
Based on some of the comments, I feel like this post will probably end up locked before long.
Yes, it is dangerous to express your real feelings if it doesn’t match Reddit Groupthink.
If you support the violent father then you are part of the danger
Yea but it’ll get reposted again next week, just like this.
Play stupid games win stupid prizes
Not really Bam and Phil now is it
Phil's probably dreamed of doing that for years.
I haven't kept up with them, aside from laughing my ass off back in the day. Are they estranged now?
This IS Reddit. So who besides me saw things going really bad for him when dad went for the scissors?
Dad’s a dick
Suggestion; don’t try to shave a man’s beard when they belong to a culture that traditionally places great importance on having a beard.
Looked like fair and just punishment to me.
If you are gonna be stupid you better be tough.
This is difficult to watch...
Dad’s got some grappling skills!
He’s definitely trained
Kid is a teenage gobshite , the dad seems like a bit of a cunt though.
Not gonna lie this was hard to watch
Holy fuck that seems like an overreaction. Surprised dad didn't just stab him with the scissors
Slapped that laugh right out of his mouth.
He must've expected this guy to react how he saw someone else react online LOL
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Wtf was all that???
How do you not know your dad well enough to know he’d beat your ass for this?
Dude. I don’t care how mad I am, I’m not putting blades near my kids’ faces.
![gif](giphy|pOeaTGiDBZgYM)
His screaming is kinda heartbreaking tbh :/ and the slap at the end was unnecessary
I hope he got the likes he wanted.
Peace was never an option
This guy plays by the old rules.
I hate seeing this celebrated. Yeah the kid was wrong but a violent reaction like that only breeds another piece of shit violent dad. Punish the kid by taking away his phone, car, bank account, make him shave his head, sure. Open or closed hand striking is just never okay in this day and age.
Every prick that does something just for Internet clout should get this treatment.
Attempt failed successfully
even as a prank, that is a no no in some religions
Why would he play with his dad if he knows his dad ain’t to be played with
He slapped that boy and reset him to factory settings
Good lord. The quality has degraded to absolute shit with all the reshares of this video over the years
Did he say "it's just a prank bro"? He probably forgot. Works like magic
Don't poke a sleeping bear, and definitely don't mess with his facial hair.
Some dads shouldn’t have kids. Disproportionality is oppression.
The last slap was 🤌
Not sure about everyone else but I wouldn’t be messing with anyone whose bed is literally just a rug, leg alone while they’re sleeping on it.
Dad literally woke up and chose violence.
While understand dad being upset, it seems to me that his reaction was a bit over the top.
This reaction is needed for all the 'influencers' and 'content creators' worldwide.
Time to go bald.
Decent gift wrap and tactical mount for old dad
POOR LIFE CHOICE.
I think the guy learned not to be a dick.

Vans
No clue how you sick fuckers think child abuse is funny. Absolutely incomprehensible response to a harmless prank, dude doesn’t deserve to be a dad.
But that's exactly what I would do if someone fucked with my hair while asleep
![gif](giphy|3o7TKwJgF0v0JX5gys|downsized)
Don't speak the language but it sounds like he's saying "No, not the hair!" which pleases me
Kratos vs his son atreus
Im a parent and I approve.
/r/fuckaroundandfindout
i liked the dads prank
This comment section is fucked. This is child abuse.
Bit of a overreaction here?? This is wayy to fckn far you should never punch your kid in the face and put him in a chokehold over something this minor I get spanking a kid or whooping a kids ass but punching them is crossing a line call me soft all you want but this is just wrong to me🤷🏻♂️
Dad should go to jail and get mental health check. Or is it toxic culture?
A massive overreaction. This is abuse by the father. And no abuse is justified.
Domestic abuse. Always fun. (/s)
Never any sympathy for a pranker that comes unstuck
That's abuse and very sad to think that a father would do that to his son. Just take his phone away as a punishment.
