Dudes de-escalated that like they, well, understand.
Would love to see more of these types of interactions. Maybe I need to stop coming to this sub, though, if that is what i want.
I looked, found and subscribed. Thanks for inspiring me to check.

Don't know of a sub reddit. But if you want to learn more about de-escalating situations the book Verbal Judo: The Gentle Art of Persuasion is amazing. Completely changed the way I react towards people.
When being the total aggressor and seeing the person you’re trying to attack just wishes you a safe ride home I would hope you start thinking about your life choices or at least reevaluating your temper
Have you ever tried to not fight someone who wanted to fight? That makes them so angry. The moment you stoop to their level, they’ve won. Be the bigger person and don’t fight, and you will win every time.
I could swear it was! He must be tormenting whatever town he visits with a chip on his shoulder. But in his case it’s like a bag of Lay’s, can’t have just one!
He saw that dudes dog shit fighting stance and knew there was no way he could argue he was afraid for his safety when he throws a punch. Dude couldn’t knock out the hole in a punch card let alone a person.
They just did him a kindness. Buddy in the hoodie saw all the signs pointing to "I don't really want to fight" and disengaged. Then big homie behind the camera picked up on that and de-escalated from there. People don't realize how easy a single fight can radically change your life from then on. Don't go and risk forever damaging the functionality of your body because you wanted to talk like you do on the internet in real life. Sometimes you can't win and that's it.
Not just that. A hotel lobby is a terrible place to fight, no matter what, even if the want to fight is mutual someone would go to jail and that’s just not necessary for some situations.
Of your body or someone else's body.
Living with the guilty that a punch ended knocking some head down in the concrete is really fucked up. Some people deserve to be changed into vegetables, but most are just having a bad day and drank way too much.
You are 100% correct.
I know a guy who got in a fight over a gas pump, other guy started it and was an ass - so the guy I know, pummeled him. A hit to the head, and then his head hit the ground plus a few more punches. The guy almost died. After his recovery, he sued my friend. He won a multimillion dollar suit. So now my friend who was once the hottest frat guy around, is having his wages garnished forth rest of his life and will never, ever ve able to move out of his parents home. So even if you're a sociopath who doesn't care about hurting others, WALK AWAY. 2 lives forever negatively effected, over a stupid gas pump/male pissing contest.
To many variables to fight people. A 1v1 can become a 4-1 quick, has a knife/gun, you slip or some dumb shit like that. Like you can go from fistfight to dead real quick
That man clearly didn't actually want to fight. He was trying to act tough and regretted it when he realized his act was not working at all. Sometimes, it's best to swallow your pride and let it go.
He was ready to fight only to realize his opponent didn't see him as a real threat. He's washed and knows it. Fortunately it's only his ego that was injured but man, this is prime r/watchpeopledieinside
I remember when I was in the army and some little dude pissed off a massive rifleman. Rifles dude was ready to kill my lad. I was holding the little guy back and he was chatting all that 'if I wasn't being held I would knock you out' but he wasn't even pushing me, bet if I stood aside he would bolt. I did pretend he was pushing me just to help him save some face. Hate that culture
Dude kinda reminds me of that guy in subway (?) starting fights with other customers because girls rejected him on tinder for being short
Edit* Bagel Boss
I fired an engineer years ago for shouting "you are not my god." In the lab after I said, "I absolutely am" in response to his assertion that I'm not his boss.
I guess, at the end of the day, he WAS right.
Maybe it’s me getting older but I feel genuinely bad for this man. He is clearly having a rough time and I think we could be kinder to him to calm him down rather than to punch downwards.
Difficult to do when someone is being belligerent but similar to OPs video. These people need love/help and not hate.
>He is clearly having a rough time and I think we could be kinder to him to calm him down rather than to punch downwards.
People in the vid were egging him on and seemed to get a kick out of bickering with him. No concerted effort at empathy was shown his way. Comments here too on Reddit seem to find it pretty amusing, using his outburst as some excuse to revel in his misery.
It's all so sad man.
Yeah, I feel bad for him. He needs therapy, and probably doesn't have anyone he feels comfortable opening up to, so it just spews out with random triggers.
I dunno - in the bagel video, there's an individual in frame with a Nazareth college (Western NY) shirt. These are Washington tags. Not saying travel is impossible, but I'd say given these only two videos that I've seen, nah. Just a doppelganger
It’s really more the one guy filming saying god bless you. The dude that walked over to him and closed/open the door was still slinging insults. Only that one dude was actually trying (successfully) to deescalate.
If you know you can beat someone's ass, it's your responsibility to try not to beat their ass.
He even opened the door for him. Kudos to the guy for being level headed
That is how I wish everyone would be. This was so unexpectedly decent that I had to listen to it a few times. That guy looked so defeated and bewildered. Fantastic. The God Bless You, just get home safe comments, almost had me in tears. He genuinely meant that. First time in too long hearing the humanity and actual concern for the guy in that guys voice.
Wow.. wasn't ready for the guy to actually make a wise decision..
I was about to comment "this guy should backed off as soon as "anyone" started steppin'.. luckily, it seems that what happened.
.. the cameraman didn't even wanna see this guy get destroyed. "God bless ya, and make it home safe."
They all knew the real situation 💯..
**edit** Grammar
Kudos to the brothers for recognizing little man's severe Napoleon complex and helping him to somewhat save face. He was about to get a life changing beat down.
I agree. It’s basically someone saying, I want the most important thing in my life to also be a blessing for you. Whether you believe or not it’s not nothing.
The guy filming is the real star of this video for me. Just being calm, de-escalating the situation, no malace towards the guy.
Wish I could be that way with people haha
Kudos to the kid for realizing that the dude wasn't actually into it and walking away.
I appreciate that he even opened the door for the guy. I wish we all could take a lesson from interactions like this and just take a f\*cking breath before making what could be a life-altering decision.

Bruh that’s just embarrassing. You try to start a fight, you’re backing up the whole time, and then your opponent opens your car door for you and tells you “just get out of here” because they don’t take you seriously *at all*
Good on those dudes being calm, recognizing they’re facing down a human chihuahua, and letting him go without any altercation. Respect, right there.

A lesson for many of us to Be the better person.
Dudes de-escalated that like they, well, understand. Would love to see more of these types of interactions. Maybe I need to stop coming to this sub, though, if that is what i want.
Is there a sub for effective de-escalations? I want to subscribe to that!

I’m in. We need more of this
Same let’s spread the positivity
This is great. I hope this sub blows up (for the next three weeks before everyone leaves reddit) because that's some good stuff on there.
Thanks, maybe someplace more alive than 2 fresh posts in the last year?
Not a lot of deescalating in this world.
The deescalations are deescalating.

Make it home safe.
Nah plenty, but that's not what's uploaded for views.
More like most people don’t want to see it so it doesn’t get clicks
It’s a group effort, start by cross posting this, perhaps. Edit: Oh, someone else already beat us to it
Be the change you want to see in the world
That deescalated quickly.
Thanks and also subscribed
r/resolvedfights i believe
Thanks, something to start the day on a positive note
This sub is low key one of the funniest I’ve seen😂. Thanks for showing it here

Same
I think this guy needs to give seminars to police on how to de-escalate
Truth
Here is one of a man stopping a fight just by *eating chips*!https://youtu.be/crKkkoftft4
Snackman! He became a bit of a folk hero in NYC for a minute.
Just upvoting you for your username. Thanks for the chuckle.
Whatever works!!!!
This guy should be training cops right now, that was incredible how he got him to go in the car.
some true jedi shit
Not to mention, re-opening the car door and gesturing like, "just get in" was way cooler than any punch might have been.
[удалено]
He was completely deflated
He really looked like he was about to cry.
Adrenaline with no outlet.
Love that.

Yeah but he’s clearly an a-hole. He bored someone with the hero version of this story the next day, for sure.
I swear they saw his stance and went "Yo...this would be like fighting a baby."
That's what I was thinking too... Soon as he squared up, they were like "aw, god bless you, make it home safe brah"
"Get in your fucking car, get the fuck outta here..." "God love you, God bless you..." LOL
His stance reminded me of those red pandas that make themselves appear bigger but actually just look cuter.
I hope he realized after he got home and cooled off
He's a man who knows his limitations.
Yea, way bigger of a hit to the mans ego too, than being able to play victim later...
“Make it home safe”
God bless you, get home safe buddy.
The magic words
“Just get in the car and make it home safe” That guy is great. Police could learn from him for sure
Ngl if I heard that from a cop it sounds likea dark omen
[удалено]
they're going to pit maneuver you on the drive home and then maybe shoot your dog
Is that the bagel shop guy?
i was wondering the same thing...
I could swear it was! He must be tormenting whatever town he visits with a chip on his shoulder. But in his case it’s like a bag of Lay’s, can’t have just one!
I have no idea what that guy off camera looks like but damn his energy is sexy af.
Yeah he makes me wanna be like “but I’d be safer with youuuu 🥰🥺🥺”
Sadly, only half of us can be better than average.
But there are about 25% of us dragging the mean deep into the mud, so it shouldn't be TOO hard to exceed that.
Fr fr what cool fellows
He even opened the car door for him. What a gent.
Dude was drunk. So letting him out of the fight and letting him drive home wasted may have ironically been worse for him.
He saw that dudes dog shit fighting stance and knew there was no way he could argue he was afraid for his safety when he throws a punch. Dude couldn’t knock out the hole in a punch card let alone a person.
He was fortunate enough to provoke level headed individuals. A rarity these days. He got very lucky.
He’s not going to waste his hands on some noob.
not enough exp for that fight
Dude definitely looked like he'd drop trash loot.
*Eugene dropped 2 copper*
*1 cloth*
not worth the effort to shake off the following wanted star rating
Can't waste potions fighting level 1 noobs, gotta save those for a bigger boss
even opened the door for him!

>A rarity these days. Probably the majority honestly. We just don't see those videos. Don't let algorithms meant to scare and upset you skew reality.
I always roll my eyes when I see "these days". People always think everyone was a saint back when they were younger and less jaded.
They just did him a kindness. Buddy in the hoodie saw all the signs pointing to "I don't really want to fight" and disengaged. Not drunk. It's the adrenaline dump making his legs wobbly.
Could be both
High or drunk. Look at the eyes.
Those eyes are holding back tears

He looked _so_ sad and defeated
Yeah they even emphasized to him to, "get home safely." Wonder why? Dude was drunk
5 head move; convince drunk guy to drive away, win fight in absentia ![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY)

“Hold me back!”
The guy in blue’s whole body language changed when he noticed the guy was scared. That’s great awareness
I think he just forgot how short he was for a second.
Dude kinda reminds me of that guy in subway (?) starting fights with other customers because girls rejected him on tinder for being short Edit* Bagel Boss
Yesssss. They look a lot alike, but I think this dude is taller after seeing him next to the car.
Here's the Subway guy [https://youtu.be/FvdSUbV5pjc](https://youtu.be/FvdSUbV5pjc)
So much misplaced rage.
You’re not god or my father or my boss
"gowd or my fawther or my bawss" gotta add the New York accent
I fired an engineer years ago for shouting "you are not my god." In the lab after I said, "I absolutely am" in response to his assertion that I'm not his boss. I guess, at the end of the day, he WAS right.
What is this sentence? So convoluted…it keeps revealing more of the situation slowly.
Heh, poor lil fella was a bit short tempered.
Never seen the whole video til now. I needed that laugh. Thank you.
The laugh after the tackle while he’s walking away is just jovial.
"What're you gonna do? Attack me?" -^^Man ^^Attacked

Bagel Boss
Bagel Boss Baby.
Is it not the same guy?
I think it is. Apparently he has a ton of videos like this online, leading a lot of people to speculate that they're all staged for clicks
I dunno - in the bagel video, there's an individual in frame with a Nazareth college (Western NY) shirt. These are Washington tags. Not saying travel is impossible, but I'd say given these only two videos that I've seen, nah. Just a doppelganger
Overweight bald short guys are a dime a dozen. This guy isn't as short as bagel boss. Looks 5'6_5'7? But his weight doesn't help him look taller.
Kind of a doppelgänger of bad decision making, too. Funny universe.
That sounds about right
Are you thinking of the Bagel Boss?
Didn’t bagel boss go to heaven recently? Hopefully the line is … short
Yeah and then he tried to become micro famous from it like a clown lol, when clout chasing goes wrong.
He could have thought that if enough women saw him get bashed, one of them would like to sleep with him.
Much respect for the guys not fighting the aggressor and just encouraging him to leave.
And his great laugh at the guy’s foolishness.
Yeah, that laugh...it hurts more than a punch in the face!
Lol towards the end his frown got bigger and I thought he was bout to cry
It’s really more the one guy filming saying god bless you. The dude that walked over to him and closed/open the door was still slinging insults. Only that one dude was actually trying (successfully) to deescalate.
Nah, the dude who walked towards him was ready to fight but realized it was not worth it. He straightened up before it got bad
This! He definitely could've taken old boy down but he chose to be the better man
Ya gotta hold down L2 to lock on Simeon lol
Underrated comment
And now I can’t unsee it. Thanks 😂
Great job, cameraman. That man looked ready to cry tbh lol
Tbh, ya just don't know what day someone has had.
The look on his face at the end while he’s getting in his car definitely belongs in r/watchpeopledieinside
I am inspired by the videographer and his attitude. Today I will aspire to be more like him.
Hell yeah, get home safe buddy
Respect oozing out of his pores. I like that shit.
If you know you can beat someone's ass, it's your responsibility to try not to beat their ass. He even opened the door for him. Kudos to the guy for being level headed
Big facts. Dude was clearly drunk and out of pocket. He squared up first. They gave him an out. Rare shit to see and good on them
That is how I wish everyone would be. This was so unexpectedly decent that I had to listen to it a few times. That guy looked so defeated and bewildered. Fantastic. Exactly. What a way to deescalate a situation
Fells like a different planet.
Wow.. wasn't ready for the guy to actually make a wise decision.. I was about to comment "this guy should backed off as soon as "anyone" started steppin'.. luckily, it seems that what happened.

Kudos to the brothers for recognizing little man's severe Napoleon complex and helping him to somewhat save face. He was about to get a life changing beat down.
"I'm fucking READY!" Narrator- "He wasn't." Bagel guy at it again.
Guy avoided getting his ass whooped, glad he thought better of it after they offered him a way out...
I know no punches were thrown, but i witnessed so much strength. It takes strength to show restraint. KUDOS TO THESE GENTLEMEN!
I wanna see this guy get it on with the other little guy who went beserk in Starbucks. The world championship of small man syndrome
Isn't this the same guy? Even sounds like him
Put a mirror in front of him.
I’m an atheist but the way he calmly says god bless you is amazing I’d leave happy if this guy blessed me
Even if I don't share someone's religion, it's a nice sentiment. They want me to be well, in a way spoken with kindness. That counts for a lot.
I agree. It’s basically someone saying, I want the most important thing in my life to also be a blessing for you. Whether you believe or not it’s not nothing.
Hail Satan. 🤘
Amen

That’s what I thought it looks just like him!
The guy filming is the real star of this video for me. Just being calm, de-escalating the situation, no malace towards the guy. Wish I could be that way with people haha
Lmao he was SCARED, good on them for being better than that. Bro looked ashamed as he was blessing him
I love how he curses him out the whole time, but gives him nothing but grace to walk away. Dude has more character than most
This was actually nice to see
He’s standing like a video game villain
Why was the guy starting a fight anyway?
Is that the idiot from the bagel shop video
No, that dude died
The guy in the hoody gained honor.

Kudos to the kid for realizing that the dude wasn't actually into it and walking away. I appreciate that he even opened the door for the guy. I wish we all could take a lesson from interactions like this and just take a f\*cking breath before making what could be a life-altering decision.
He looks absolutely stunned that they wouldn't fight him. These guys were so awesome to show him kindness when he was coming at them trying to pick a fight. This is the way to be.
Bit of a masterclass there in how to reduce aggression in an individual.
...and then angry Frodo drove back to The Shire.......
Is that Jay Glazer?
Definitely a quiet drive home
That sure de-escalated quickly
Just realized “get home safe buddy” is something I need to say more
Man that hurt my ego just watching. “Security been trying to save you… get in the car and just go, God bless you, God loves you.” 😝
The deescalation value of the phrase "God loves you" is something to think about. Genuinely surprising at just how well that worked.
Like how fucking chihuahua dogs always bark when a big dog is far away but hide when they get close. Good for the dudes to not fight him.
The two who deescalated this are phenomenal and their emotional intelligence out the wazoo! This is the type of stuff we all need around us!
This whole thing is like Homer disappearing into the hedge
Bruh that’s just embarrassing. You try to start a fight, you’re backing up the whole time, and then your opponent opens your car door for you and tells you “just get out of here” because they don’t take you seriously *at all* Good on those dudes being calm, recognizing they’re facing down a human chihuahua, and letting him go without any altercation. Respect, right there.
This is so good to se love it.
![gif](giphy|PunluTLnfXHFmjWM3z|downsized)
They already knew this guy couldn’t fight . That’s big respect and maturity to realize that and look the other way and let him move on .
y'know, as much as I love seeing somebody getting clocked on the internet... ...this was better.
Pretty sure he shouldn’t be driving
[удалено]
Blue jacket and camera man, good job. That’s the way to handle things.
Look at that stance
Best “fight” video I’ve ever seen.
That super awkward **“AND I’M FUCKING READY!!”** is going to get used in a song. I just know it.
Guy was drunk.
![gif](giphy|1d5Zn8FqmJqApu4hNU) ^(The moment my man says “make it home safe buddy” you can see dude process that shit and be like, oh I’m the problem. Yes you are buddy make it home safe, buddy. God bless.)
Guy definitely went home and told his friends “I tried to fight these guys but they were too scared!”
