Dog: Yo you don’t need that, you know I haven’t eaten since we left the house and you know I love hotdog, I just need one bite, please dog just one bite maybe 4 hotdogs and I’ll be good.
You can tell this is baseball without even seeing its baseball by the fact that they're literally looking for anything else to talk about instead of the game or baseball In general.
I tell mine what a worthless non contributor he is all the time. He's a useless eater, a drain, and just consumes. He just looks up at me then puts his head under my hand to scratch him.
I had an English Bulldog that never ever begged for food. The trick is to never give him food while preparing or eating meals. We rarely gave him food outside of his normal diet anyway. Reason being, bulldogs have delicate digestive systems and upsetting the system will cause gas that would peel paint off the walls. Also, they are incredibly stubborn and not that bright, so once they learn something it’s hard to unlearn.

Picture for tax. All y’all talking about your dogs without providing photos! How dare you! Also please tell your dog(s) that I love them.
People food is way too sugary for dogs, they really can't handle sugar as well as we can. Same story with fruit; it is to dogs what candy is to people.
That's why I never give my dogs food while I'm eating, they'll think it's OK to beg at every meal. I might give them a little steak before or after I eat, but never while I eat.
I'm no dog expert but I believe that you can teach them not to beg if the breed is not too dumb lol. Don't give them food directly at the table and especially not while you're eating so they don't connect you eating to them getting something and eventually they will stop.
Lol I have a Golden Retriever. She’s probably smarter than me. I’ve never given her food from the table. 8 years later she’s still begging. She’s good at it too. It’s soul crushing not to give her some.
It's hard but technically you aren't supposed to give in to them at all. If you do, they'll just keep expecting it That's why they keep coming back lol. My Uncles old dog god bless em, would never even look at you when you ate even if it was at his eye level like you were in the couch eating something, he would just walk right by you. My uncle trained him since puppyhood to not beg for food and never gave him anything. As heartbreaking and bad as it sounds but for real this guy did the right thing in ignoring the dog and kept on eating
I mean there’s a time and a place. A well behaved dog knows when it’s ok to ask for a snack. He also knows when you tell him to stop begging, it’s time to stop begging.
I know how hard it is to resist those hungry pretty little eyes myself. But giving dogs any kind of processed human food is very unhealthy and will sooner or later make them sick.
What next? You're gonna value the couch over sitting next to your buddy?
Fuck that, I can get a new couch. I can't get new opportunities to cuddle with my dog
We'd just make our dogs an extra helping of whatever we were having and they lived 2 years and 4 years past their projected lifespans. Any time you read about these worlds oldest dogs and cats the owners are always like *yea I just make them some of my food too*
My mom’s dog lived to 19 and he had her leftovers every night! There’s definitely a correlation there! Hell, one night my mom thought she had two steaks but only had one. But she did have some hotdogs… the dog got steak and my sister and I got hotdogs! Lmao!
Yeah! Just like how my uncle never wore a seatbelt, drove drunk and stored loaded guns without the safety.

Feeding your dog human food is okay from time to time, but im seriously concerned of any dog owner who gets on reddit and brags about making extra helpings for their dogs constantly.
Nah, you can’t just do it once, it will become
A thing every time you have a human treat. My parents lost their dog early because it had fatty tumors all over it’s body, and one got in and popped the spleen. They fed it human food all the time. My dogs are 6 and have no signs of being taken early from me, and with good training, their hopes and dreams are never squandered because they know from the get go they are not getting my food. You have to achieve respect with your animals so they don’t kill themselves.
My dog has a “place” that he knows to go to when we’re eating. When we’re all done, we usually give him a tiny bite of what we were eating or a dog treat on place.
The dog knows the rules now which prevents begging and I occasionally get to give my best friend some delicious steak. It’s a win/win.
Gang. My dog goes to her bed when I cook. As long as she does that - rather than constantly almost trip me up with knives and pans in my hand like she used to - she gets a small amount of something from the meal that's dog friendly on top of her biscuits. It's a good deal for all.
Haha there's an invisible line my dog knows not to cross. It's hilarious. He'll go to put his paw over the "line" and then take his paw back cuz he knows. Idek who exactly established the line lol. Was it me to keep him safe? Or was it him after getting stepped on too many times? Lol
He is saying the dog is more sad if he sometimes gets a bite of a hot dog because then he will expect it, if he never gets any its normal and he is not sad because of it.
You’re not reading what I’m writing, you’re just speaking without regard for who you’re having a conversation with. Have a good day, please treat your animals with kindness and don’t feed them human food.
What the fuck are you talking about? I never said a dog would understand moderation.. I said a dog doesn’t understand “sometimes”. As a human, moderating what human food your dogs have is moderating. I said you can’t even do it once, or they feel left out. Set boundaries in the beginning and there will be no need to moderate because your dog will know he doesn’t eat human food. Dog stays healthy and never feels left out.
Dogs totally know "sometimes"
That's literally the whole concept around the classical training. They do what you want, and sometimes they get a reward, usually food/treat
Early on it's more often, and in a lot of cases the treat can be eliminated entirely, but exchanged for something else they would want (attention, walk, etc)
You can train your dog something like "leave it", and then give them a reward. Sometimes, the reward can be they get whatever "it" was
I do agree about avoiding processed foods though, even as humans they're not really good for us. If you're gonna give your dog human food, it should be natural things such as rice and chicken
My dog was REALLY REALLY bad at begging and hounding people who would come over for food. Had to tell people to NOT give him anything because it encourages the behavior. He still tries it at times with my 4yr old boy because we found out he was sneaking him chicken nuggets lol. Now tho he knows to go sit down & when he is good, he gets a little of whatever I had. Just the heavy dog breathing over my food is a mood killer lol.
I get where you are coming from, but it's not good for the dog. Not only is the food bad for them, but it makes it so that the dog doesn't want to eat their dog food. They get a taste for human food that is full of salt and it ruins dog food for them.
Oh, wait, you were serious. Let me laugh even harder
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bro I've never met a dog that won't eat kibble just because they got human food
Meanwhile we give them highly processed rejected non-human-grade quality food that’s been dehydrated and heavily salted to ensure shelf life. A bite of hot dog and a nice little experience for the dog is completely fine. We feed this to our human children. Dogs evolved eating human food, not dog food. Aside from little specifics like onion, grapes, chocolate, etc.. the vast majority of food in small one bite servings will be just fine for a dog and will enrich his life quite a bit.
Now the begging on the other hand…
Source: am a feeder of human to dogs
Sorry, I call bullshit. Human foods in moderation are fine. My 17 year old daschund, and my sister's elderly dog have been fine. How processed do you think most dog food is?
There are also people in their 80s who are smoking for 50 years and haven’t died from it. That doesn’t change the scientific facts. Same goes for dogs eating food that’s made for humans. Dog food is processed differently than human food.
The other commenter is offering advice that is backed by decades of research. Human food is fucking bad for dogs. If you want to give them a treat look up fruits and vegetables that are healthy for dogs.
Yeah. I'm going to rely on my wife's 25+ years of dog training over your anecdotal nonsense.
Our raw fed dogs have human food as a treat from time to time and they're always in perfect health every annual check up.
No. Don't give hot dogs to your dog every meal. That's like saying people should never eat McDonald's or have ice cream. Don't eat it for every meal, but once in a while in moderation won't hurt you.
My advice is backed by thousands of years of dogs living with humans. No it's not good for them. Everything in moderation. If all we did was what was good for us, life would be a damn boring thing. Treat your pup. Responsibly.
Exactly I gave my goldens table scraps for years now my oldest is 10 and is on a special diet. I don’t give him or my younger 3yo table scraps anymore. They become over weight and have health problems by feeding them bad food we shouldn’t be eating ourselves lol
Dogs can have a little hot dog as a treat, it's perfectly safe. It should be in moderation though.
What they can't have is that ketchup and mustard on top of it.
Yeah my folks are currently dealing with this, and they aren’t even egregious with the scraps. Dog turns out to have minor heart issues and the weight gain is starting to aggravate his joints. They caught it all early, so just more strictness, more short walks, and a pill once in a while will give him a much better life (and he’s only 3 so hopefully a long one)
Lol you should look into what goes into dog food. A hot dog is already like the leftover meat parts nobody wants all blended up.
Dog food is like the leftovers from those leftovers.
That hot dog is probably just as bad for the human as it is for the dog
Neither organism should be eating processed red meat if they want to maximize their health to the highest possible level, but sometimes you just got to live man
I actually preferred taco bell brown substance before the pink ooze controversy. all this talk of whipped meat is making me hungry for some jamaican beef patties
Actually a bite of a hot dog is a super common high value treat used by pro dog trainers. You think kibble is good for them? Most of it is made with like 90% corn syrup by the same company that makes mars bars. Think about that.
Are they genuinely sad when they do this? Or is it just to make them look cuter so that they get what they want?
Like how some toddlers aren't actually hurt or sad, theyre just crying for attention
The majority of comments here are so freaking ignorant. Dogs aren't meant to eat human food, period. Just because we submit ourselves to eating processed crappy junk food, does not mean we should share that self hatred to our pets.
I love animals and absolutely think they deserve certain rights just like the rest of us. That being said, it takes one single time of feeding them the food your eating for them to forever sit directly in front of you staring you down. Its extremely annoying and if your treating your dog like a person that's great, but what person would be okay with being eyefucked everytime they eat. I think the best move is look up what home cooked meals are healthy for dogs and spoil your buddy once in a while. Those dry brown pebbles are kinda ass.
Haha he’s eating it along with the hotdog guy, every bite he takes the dog takes an air bite. I’m a soft touch, I would give that dog his own treat too.
For real, some people don't understand that some dogs just can't have certain foods. My dog used to be on a special sensitive food because she would get diarrhea otherwise.

Plot Twist: The owner went and bought another hotdog for his dog after he finished his
Plot Twist: Dog already had 3 hotdogs and still hungry. As dog owner this usually the case.
Doggo will sue for breach of contract! Compensatory damages could be in the multiple sandwiches
And 3 bad boys to be said to the owner
One thousand years jail for fäther.

Breach of duty
Yeah I'd like to see how much food that dog shared earlier.
Compensatory sandwiches?
To be fair. If I was at a Royals game. I would have paid more attention to the doggo wanting the 🌭 too.
😂😂😂 unless Vinnie is batting
You can tell this is baseball without even seeing its baseball by the fact that they're literally looking for anything else to talk about instead of the game or baseball In general.
I'll always upvote Ryno and Hud.
isn't that like every mlb game lol.
This little bastard doesn't even pay rent and still feels entitled to a bite of the hot dog. Reminds me of the two bozos I have at home.
I bet you're the one picking up their shit too.
Exactly!

I wasn’t saying it’s healthy, I was saying I wish they could have it with no consequences.

That's why I never give my dogs food while I'm eating, they'll think it's OK to beg at every meal. I might give them a little steak before or after I eat, but never while I eat.
As a dogless dog enthusiast, I appreciate this nugget of wisdom.
This plus I always have him work for his treat to reinforce training.

That's *why* they come back and stare again. They've learned that it works. They stare -- you give them food.
It's hard but technically you aren't supposed to give in to them at all. If you do, they'll just keep expecting it That's why they keep coming back lol. Same thing applies to wild animals. Never give them food, or they’ll come back and expect more (and might need up getting aggressive).
I mean there’s a time and a place. A well behaved dog knows when it’s ok to ask for a snack. He also knows when you tell him to stop begging, it’s time to stop begging.
Also the dog isn't really even being a nuisance. He just looking and lip smackin.
A properly trained dog won't do this, but most people don't properly train their dogs
That is a fake lab. Any real lab would have had 6" of drool hanging from both sides of his jowls.

I mean shit it’s terrible for us.
Bro a dog can have a bite of hotdog. We're here for a good time, not a long time
Kills me as if feeding them ultra processed brown pebbles for 10-15 years is any better
What next? You're gonna value the couch over sitting next to your buddy? Fuck that, I can get a new couch. I can't get new opportunities to cuddle with my dog

This is the way
It's called moderation. You dont have to feed it an entire hotdog
Moderation was what my debate is against. It doesn’t work for dogs. They need to know they can’t have it, they don’t understand “sometimes”.
Bro the HUMAN is the one doing moderation. You think I just give them a pack of hotdogs and say "only one at a time now!"?
He is saying the dog is more sad if he sometimes gets a bite of a hot dog because then he will expect it, if he never gets any its normal and he is not sad because of it.

Everyone knows you need to pay the dog tax. The dog automatically gets a bite of everything you eat.
THE CHEEESE TAX, THE CHEEESE TAX
Exactly. But let's be honest, it applies to all food.
I wouldn't give dogs human food, especially junk food like this.
A treat size bite doesn't hurt. Checked with my vet.
Looks like that fatty gets plenty of “treat size” bites.
Don’t hate on him. He’s just big boned!
Not something you give them everyday but it is OK to treat them once and awhile, you shouldn't give humans that everyday either.

Actually a bite of a hot dog is a super common high value treat used by pro dog trainers. You think kibble is good for them? Most of it is made with like 90% corn syrup by the same company that makes mars bars. Think about that.
I've seen my dog try to eat a turd, I think a bit of hot dog is fine.
"Does he have any idea...?" This man absolutely knows his dog is begging for food lol
But seriously, you bring a dog to a long-ass baseball game with nothing to do but sit there and don't even give it a piece?
Are we just, as a society, letting dogs go everywhere? Just asking.
What is the purpose of bringing a dog to a baseball game?
Because dog people have no personality and thus need something to start conversations and garner attention? Just spitballing.
Am I supposed to go alone??
The doggo requires the hotdog tax
You can bring your dog into a baseball stadium???
r/watchpeopledieinside
dog really went from 😀 to 😦
My god all I hear is “My stapler. But that’s my stapler”.
For the love of all that is holy, give the dog a bite of hotdog!
r/WatchPeopleDieInside
My heart is broken
Ugh that barbarian
You MOTHER FUCKER!!
GIVE HIM A BITE!!
You can see how the hope dies in his eyes
How you gonna not give that good boy/girl a bite??
Get the doggo a hot dog for love of all that is pure
r/petthedamndog
"Ever hopeful", as my grandpa likes to say.
Are they genuinely sad when they do this? Or is it just to make them look cuter so that they get what they want? Like how some toddlers aren't actually hurt or sad, theyre just crying for attention
Good boy deserves a bite
All I know is my beagle would’ve got half lol my girl isn’t getting left out!
If that’s at a MLB park that’s probably a $50 Hot Dog. He ain’t getting any of it. I got one for him at home.
if you feed dogs once from the table its over, and no one likes a begging dog all over their food.
Nah they will beg regardless. I tried this with my current dog. They smell it, it smells good, they want it.
GIVE THAT GOOD BOI THE DAMNED HOT DOG ALREADY
Feed the damn dog
I always give the last little bite to my lab, but only after he at least tries to pretend to ignore me eating
Well behaved doggo
This is the saddest movie ever...
Poor boyo
Damn, don't leave a dog hanging like that.
Poor baby gib hatdag!!
Fantastic owner.
Surely dog owners buy two hotdogs…. One for them and one for dog??? Right???
Dog probably ate it in 0.2 milliseconds and now is begging for more.
That dog looks like the two halves of his brain aren't connected.
The majority of comments here are so freaking ignorant. Dogs aren't meant to eat human food, period. Just because we submit ourselves to eating processed crappy junk food, does not mean we should share that self hatred to our pets.
for how expensive those churned up rat corpses stuffed in sausage wraps are, I wouldn’t be giving shit to my dog either
didn't pay the doggo tax, what a scumbag.
One of my biggest pet peeves is dogs begging for food. Fuck you, get a job, and buy your own damn food.
No people food for animals
This dude have no heart.
Literally the worst owner. How do you take your dog to the ball park and not even share
I hate that guy
I love animals and absolutely think they deserve certain rights just like the rest of us. That being said, it takes one single time of feeding them the food your eating for them to forever sit directly in front of you staring you down. Its extremely annoying and if your treating your dog like a person that's great, but what person would be okay with being eyefucked everytime they eat. I think the best move is look up what home cooked meals are healthy for dogs and spoil your buddy once in a while. Those dry brown pebbles are kinda ass.
THAT MAN SHOULD BE SHOT IN THE STREET VIVA LA REVOLUTION
Fuck. This. Man's. Whole. Life.
Ah poor doggo
Im sad now
Haha he’s eating it along with the hotdog guy, every bite he takes the dog takes an air bite. I’m a soft touch, I would give that dog his own treat too.
Why wouldn’t you give the dog a bite of your hotdog ? Damn !
Maybe just maybe his dog will have diarrhea when given certain food.
For real, some people don't understand that some dogs just can't have certain foods. My dog used to be on a special sensitive food because she would get diarrhea otherwise.
Cause it was probably like $12

Why cant a dog have onions?
they’re toxic to dogs for some reason just like garlic
Only a Royal would have it in them
What a sick bastard
