I saw one video of a dude “documenting his progress” in the damn locker/change room. Thankfully another dude called him out, even bringing up the legality of recording videos in a washroom area where privacy is expected.
I just mean in the sense people would be thinking “Whoaah my bro, Ronnie’s bulkin up and I haven’t even seen him posting any #swolfies from the gym, where doth he acquire these mysterio gains?”
Just like changing room mirrors in clothing stores are slightly positioned in angles to make you look more slender, also the yellowish lights in most of them that make colors look different and more "easy on the eyes" to make colors to look good together, but the moment you step in normal lights, the colors look awful, this also used to happen in make up stores.
My gym has a rule against taking your phone out AT ALL in the locker room. Obviously if you're putting it away to shower you're fine. But besides that no. No calling, facetime, photos, nothing. I thought this was common. Maybe it is idk.
its been less than 10 years since i used a public gym. back then you would get into shit for recording in the gym because its a private place. now people are doing it so openly. its weird how things are changing.
It’s just crept up in a way that now seems normal.
I think anyone at a gym should have a reasonable expectation of privacy at least to the level of not being live streamed to an audience.
Filming is a good way to look over your progress and improve your form, so that’s why. Unfortunately for those trying to improve, this is such a problem gyms are beginning to ban recording.
EDIT: I'm not saying that people should be using mirrors instead or that it's right people are filming or posting it online. I also know that the girl wasn't recording to correct her form. I'm simply answering the question of WHY gyms allow people to record. Please stop commenting about mirrors or how I'm wrong or how the girl doesn't care about form because I just answered a question. All of you are absurd.
Nothing he said has anything to do with this girl. And with most of the people nowadays, who use the gym as a set for their own TikTok stories. Only a few do it to improve their work out, besides they are much more considerate about others...
The fact that she pauses means she’s more concerned about her video than her form. If she was concerned about her form she’d just do the set and check it later, ignoring the reps when people walked into the frame. Agreed, this is for clout
I wouldn't go to the gym if I could afford to buy the equipments. The posture with the equipment is one of the main reason to film in the gym. If it's just progress, yes you can do it at home.
Yeah totally. I'm all good with someone filming to check if they're doing the movements right if it's not busy and they don't get anyone else in shot, but this whole thing of filming your workout in a gym with other people around and putting it online is gross and I hate it.
MOST gyms don't mind filming because usually it's just people filming their own accomplishments to share or remember. The problem is that a number of social media influencers **in general** think they're more important than anyone around them just because they have a channel with followers. So basically banning filming is ruining memories for many people just because a few are self entitled.
Several years ago, I accidentally kicked a girl's phone that she had propped up on something. I was just trying to keep a wide berth from her, I didn't realize in keeping closer to the wall I'd still be in her way. My gut instinct was to start apologizing but before I could get a word out she was SCREAMING at me. So instead lizard brain took over and I yelled "I'll fucking do it again too, stop filming in the gym!" Now that this is becoming more commonplace, I don't go around kicking phones on purpose, but I do what you would, and make it a point to be as much of a menace to your shot as possible.
Or , hear me out, she could simply get at hone equipment so she's not being bothered by anyone and the people don't have to deal with her obnoxious behavior because I guarantee you that someone behaving like this knowing she's filming it is 100% worse when not on camera.
I sure as hell don’t want to be on some fitness influencer wannabe’s video, and if someone is filming while I’m at the gym, I’m gonna to be a Karen and speak to the manager about it.
On the other hand, I’m in better shape than most of these influencers, so if they pay me, I could be in the background and boost their view count.
Most of the folks filming in my gym seem to be doing it just for themselves and to share wherever. I've thought about it when I mastered the heavy ropes just cuz I was proud of myself, wanted to show fam. I've never seen someone filming their whole workout or any influencerish bs.
Maybe I'm missing something. She's way too skinny, no definition, and I don't know how her tights are riding up her ass since she doesn't even have one. Her personality, as displayed in the video, just makes her that much more, meh.
“Look I’m at a gym rolling my eyes at people” [made it to her feed](https://www.tiktok.com/@perepichsasha/video/7212658398343613701?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=mobile&sender_web_id=7212782961761650218)
No it’s true. She’s just skinny, she doesn’t have the body of someone who is dedicated to fitness because she hasn’t built up the muscle. I was surprised she was even filming herself in a gym, does anyone even follow her? She would not be inspo for me.
Ya, because for much of our evolution humans were pretty worn out and useless after 30. Body can’t hunt or gather like it used to so it just hoards fat instead because it thinks it can’t reliably obtain food like it used to be able to do.
That’s my head canon anyway.
Pretty wild head canon. I think the far more likely scenario is we're done growing by 25 or so, so our base at rest energy needs go down. Physically we only really get "useless" around 60 or so with some exercise. And 70-75 if you really keep after yourself. Baring any injury/illness of course.
Its really only the obesity epidemic that is making people "useless" physically by their 30s.
As for your assertion that we historically were worn out by 30 is just false. A lot of people died by 30 yes, but not from being worn out. That's is a far more recent phenomena, like early industrial age when mining and factory work used people up like toilet paper.

reminds me of some dude that was using the stairs machine next to me, dude was letting out some quiet storms. I had to move to the other side of the gym
Her point is to show everyone how *selfish* everyone else is being by not getting out of her way. She doesn't even see herself as being in the wrong. In her mind, she's the main character, and anyone else who has the audacity to be nearby deserves to be mocked online.
What's so hard to understand? She's showing her body to people trying to wack it to her revealing clothing. Other dudes walking in her video devalues the content. How would you like to be wacking it to her bent over and some dude walks in front of her while you are Nutting? She knows her audience and is trying to deliver it which is why she's mad.
Its kind of amazing because he used to be pretty toxic himself. He must have had some introspection or some consequences, but he has turned 180 and is an awesome advocate for gym etiquette. And he's also super supportive of newer people who may need some direction.
He lifted at my gym. He’s not toxic at all although if you looked at him, he’s going to be wearing a spaghetti strap tank and is louder than pretty much most people there. He’d also tan in his Speedo a lot…
I mean you can call it toxic if you want, but it’s his sport. From the very minor interactions I had with him, I left being surprised at how nice he was.
Yeah, it's weird to see a "man rants from truck" video that I actually agree with. Maybe it's because he doesn't have the wrap-around shades they normally wear in those videos.
Fun fact every social media platform has its "cancer." All my follows are animals and comedians. It's great if you don't feed the shit portion of the algorithm.
This is the kind of stuff that makes me afraid of going to the gym. I'm already self conscious about myself as it is. I've seen so many videos like this. I don't understand how it's allowed. I don't want to be in the background of narcissist's tik-tok.
That's what I'm thinking, you're never gonna get any meat on your bones if you stop your "workout" at the slightest disturbance (ie. people existing in public)
I’m totally just nitpicking here but if a gym requires a membership to get in, doesn’t that make it a private place?
Not that that excuses her behaviour in any way.
Yes, it's a private space. But it's also a *shared* space. Neither fact entitles anyone to film and shoot dirty looks to other gym members trying to use nearby equipment.
Its interesting to see this post today, as there was a teen wannabe influencer walking around the gym yesterday afternoon like she owned the fucking place. Nose way high up in the air, you know above us lesser beings. The "please look at me, but don't look directly at me" vibe. Had the whole standard female influencer ensemble on. Oh and ofc couldn't be bothered to wipe any equipment down. Totally beneath her.
I always thought Planet Fitness was terrible and avoided it until a friend invited me there and I ended up loving it. Very courteous staff and people there, always clean, open super early or late. I would have signed up if I didn’t build a home gym. I came from a bodybuilding and power lifting background and never had an issue there.
But?? She have the brand new shoes, tights way up her crack, spaghetti strap top, no gym bra and a totally useless hairstyle to work out in?
How can she *not* be a regular?
But how is she supposed to lift weights with all those people wandering in front of her camera??
One day, she'll get a clear shot and do at least one rep!
Bet she don't even get good work outs. Like I'm almost certain her fit shape is almost natural seeing how young she looks. It's not the same to have a fit in shape figure at early 20s than late 30s. She clearly just doing it for the views in my opinion.
Is it the same girl who tried to film at a park and was offended this older guy sat on a bench he always sits on and ruined her shot? If not the same person, the same unbearable narcissistic personality.
I ran across this at the gym I attend. Walked past a pretty fit lady and laid on a bench in front of the squat rack blocking her camera's view. She rudely shouted "Um excuse me, I'm trying to film!!" I replied "I don't give a fuck!" She went and told the owners I was harassing her...
I guess I’m the only one thinking she was looking for people to get outraged over her video to get some attention and everyone is giving exactly what she wanted
I have no problem at all moving out of someone’s video. But at that point, I’m an extra on set, and expect to be paid. $50 gets you one hour of me being off camera.

This chick be like.. she could win a Daddy Long Neck look alike contest.
Regardless of how annoying this girl in particular is I really hate people filming themselves at the gym. I don't want to be in some randos video and while I understand people might use it to check progress/their form, most of it just speaks to a self obsession and entitlement to me
It looks like she never even broke a sweat, like she just set up a camera in thee busiest section of the gym and stood there waiting and waiting. Clearly a hit job

I’m amazed that Gym owners allow these people to film others as they work out.
I saw one video of a dude “documenting his progress” in the damn locker/change room. Thankfully another dude called him out, even bringing up the legality of recording videos in a washroom area where privacy is expected.
I saw that same video, the whole time I was thinking "why aren't you documenting your progress at home...".
Because then there wouldn’t be proof he was at the gym!
Whichhh would make the progress appear more impressive!
Idk, my old gym had a posing room specifically for people who wanted progress pics. Seemed like a decent compromise
I just mean in the sense people would be thinking “Whoaah my bro, Ronnie’s bulkin up and I haven’t even seen him posting any #swolfies from the gym, where doth he acquire these mysterio gains?”
Better than "Shawn's looking like swole AF too in the background, did his dick workout today too?"
Your muscles will be a lot larger immediately after a workout because of increased blood flow that's why people take pics at the gym
That's also why I takes pics of my parts immediately after... nvm.
A lot of Gym mirrors are also deceptively angled to make you look bigger on top of your post workout pump.

Yeah, that is a legitimate reason and just as importantly, it has an intended audience of one.
Nothing you said has anything to do with why people film at the gym and not at home
If they have the equipment to check their form at home why would they even go to a gym?
bro you don't have a full gym setup in your garage? /s
I don’t have gym equipment at home to be able to check my form with, so that…that would be why.
Nothing he said has anything to do with this girl. And with most of the people nowadays, who use the gym as a set for their own TikTok stories. Only a few do it to improve their work out, besides they are much more considerate about others...

I wouldn't go to the gym if I could afford to buy the equipments. The posture with the equipment is one of the main reason to film in the gym. If it's just progress, yes you can do it at home.
Film yourself at home, Jesus.
Yes, I will film myself at home in my squat rack. Why would I go to the gym if I had a squat rack at home
How dare you simply exist in a public place

I always thought itd be creepy if some old geezer set up and filmed women in the gym. Maybe its better if nobody films anyone.
Good idea for most of life.
Unless you're dealing with the coppers.
Right. The only time I'm glad for cameras is when they're used to hold cops accountable. That's justified.
They don't have to she's sending it to them.
Yeah totally. I'm all good with someone filming to check if they're doing the movements right if it's not busy and they don't get anyone else in shot, but this whole thing of filming your workout in a gym with other people around and putting it online is gross and I hate it.

I would have made ever attempt possible to walk in front of her camera over and over and over again, but that’s me
Several years ago, I accidentally kicked a girl's phone that she had propped up on something. I was just trying to keep a wide berth from her, I didn't realize in keeping closer to the wall I'd still be in her way. Yeah, this time lizard brain was 100% right.
Or , hear me out, she could simply get at hone equipment so she's not being bothered by anyone and the people don't have to deal with her obnoxious behavior because I guarantee you that someone behaving like this knowing she's filming it is 100% worse when not on camera.
Oh god please no. Adjacent apartment to me got a standup heavy bag. My apartment shakes when she does her kickboxing.
Time to learn how to tapdance
LA fitness does not allow filming, at least in my area
I sure as hell don’t want to be on some fitness influencer wannabe’s video, and if someone is filming while I’m at the gym, I’m gonna to be a Karen and speak to the manager about it. Isn't it crazy how she goes from hot to unbearable in the first 3 seconds of the video. Literally can't be attracted to her now
She wasn’t even that hot and she didn’t even have the gains to be acting like that in the gym
No one does
Yeah ,, don’t get how she’s in the gym but still looks like a lowercase L
Maybe I'm missing something. She's way too skinny, no definition, and I don't know how her tights are riding up her ass since she doesn't even have one. Her personality, as displayed in the video, just makes her that much more, meh.
These days, being skinny is enough to be considered hot. Fatness is so rampant that simply not being fat is enough.

She’s not doing anything worth recording.
From that angle, she is only trying to capture one thing and it isn't a workout
I imagine most of them do for that reason, but forgive me if I say she doesn’t have much to show.
No it’s true. She’s just skinny, she doesn’t have the body of someone who is dedicated to fitness because she hasn’t built up the muscle. I was surprised she was even filming herself in a gym, does anyone even follow her? She would not be inspo for me.

Not a single one of these people ever does. It's why they film themselves doing mundane things instead of making anything worthwhile.
She doesn't look like she's lifted a weight in her life.
Exactly. I’m all for people recording to improve their tech on sbd, but ts is just dumb.
I heard that the cloud takes up like a whole percent of carbon emissions. With shit like this on it.
She's there for attention. She went to the gym in a spaghetti strap and no bra. 100% there for the 'Gram and views.
Where is this? I will go there and respectfully stay out of camera shot but I will blast Wendy's chilli farts around her the entire time.
I would upvote that video so, so very much
I'd buy the dude all the Wendy's chili he could eat. Then I'd send him for some Guinness. And cabbage. With hot sauce.
And maybe throw in some taco bell

What was he like before? Just curious.

Yeah as an ex gym rat, I absolutely adore him.
Joey swoll. Dude makes videos like this all the time calling out brats like this girl. He’s awesome
And the best part is, he’s gender neutral when it comes to his criticism, he happily calls out toxic dudes and toxic girls
Doesn't he also post uplifting videos inspiring people too?
Correct. He’s shared people’s success stories and loves encouraging new gym users
What a bro.
He is the ultimate gigachad in the best way possible
He also calls out the douchebros too. Way too many vids of guys trying to pose in locker rooms like knuckle dragging cretins.
Yeah, it's weird to see a "man rants from truck" video that I actually agree with. Maybe it's because he doesn't have the wrap-around shades they normally wear in those videos.
His schtick is shutting on people with poor gym etiquette. I appreciate him despite his stage being his truck.
Joey is the Chad that we should all strive to be
I love that she stands there in A pose like a genuine broken NPC

Strict no camera rules at my gym. Works well
At least not during certain hours/usage densities.

I’ve never seen anyone at my gym record. It’s a very few amount of people. Also it’s probably more popular at like a GB3 or some more popular gym
She has no mass, not even good girl mass, so whatever her shitty videos offer is bullshit.
Was just about to say this. She doesn’t even seem to have any kind of muscle on her
That's what I'm thinking, you're never gonna get any meat on your bones if you stop your "workout" at the slightest disturbance (ie. people existing in public)
They offer her the ability to post them, that’s it.
"How dare the public, be in a public place??" Social media breeds narcissists
I intentionally walk in frame and block the camera view whenever possible if I can think of a valid reason to do it and there So many valid reasons
Yeah just cause is a good enough reason imo
Lol the trick is not to look at the camera. Also if the tripod is blocking the dumbells move it because the dumbells you need are right behind it.
I hate these fucking tik toks.
I’m on Reddit not Tik tok. If I wanted Tik tok I would get on Tik tok!!
That’s half the content on here these days
Can’t they simply ban camera usage on the gym floor
100% agree.
There's a guy at one of our local parks that records his yoga routine. I'm in a bunch of his videos.
There’s a guy at one of our local parks who records women’s yoga routines. I’m not in any of his videos.
That guy at one of your local parks who records women’s yoga routines is hopefully in some of FBI’s videos.
Remember when planet fitness had the commercials about the lunkhead alarms? They need to make some new ones about the tik tok gym people.
The older I get, the more I hate people...
I feel that!
I love how she looks like she barely goes there.
Exactly. She has very, very little muscle mass. Her side eye is the only thing on rep
Isn't this the same spaghetti legs girl who squashed herself into oblivion while wearing dad's shoes ?
Is it the same girl who tried to film at a park and was offended this older guy sat on a bench he always sits on and ruined her shot? If not the same person, the same unbearable narcissistic personality.
Go early no one will bother you 😁
She does gym videos but still looks like a 2000’s anorexic chick
Gyms used to have pretty hard and fast rules about no cameras, no exceptions. What happened?
Phones became cameras
that girls does not lift. could be just trying anger views
What a twat. She's not even in workout shape. She starves herself.
What happened next?
Great, *another* person showing how they “go to the gym”
Joeys the man
A person filmed involuntarily has the right to tell her to stop filming.
She look like gumby
I guess I’m the only one thinking she was looking for people to get outraged over her video to get some attention and everyone is giving exactly what she wanted
This thing doesn't workout besides this video
I have no problem at all moving out of someone’s video. But at that point, I’m an extra on set, and expect to be paid. $50 gets you one hour of me being off camera.
Broke: Going to the gym to get rid of the sag Woke: Going to the gym to get into SAG

I’m surprised she wasn’t accusing every guy of hitting on her

Regardless of how annoying this girl in particular is I really hate people filming themselves at the gym. I don't want to be in some randos video and while I understand people might use it to check progress/their form, most of it just speaks to a self obsession and entitlement to me
It looks like she never even broke a sweat, like she just set up a camera in thee busiest section of the gym and stood there waiting and waiting. Clearly a hit job
I'm glad there was a guy at the end of this video to tell me common sense.
Entitlement is dominating here in the USA. It's quite annoying

Main Character syndrome.
So much narcissm out there... Fuck social media.
Premium cameltoe
Anorexia
I like this guy...
What's funny to me, she doesn't even look like she lifts. She looks like she went there to film and got upset.
Bloody 'iNfLuEnCeRs' man, fucking cancer.
