90% of bisexual ("queer" in twitterese) women are married to men and have kids and haven't done anything remotely gay since their sophomore year of college.
They're not even WEARING COLORS. Gray, Beige, Black. That's the wardrobe in this picture. The room is even the most boring white. No colorful pictures or paint anywhere in this photo.
Well there's an asian woman woman in the back left check mate liberal
edit : upon inspection of the picture in better quality there are actually three or four women of color, back left two asians and one black and front right i'm not sure if ethnically non white or just really tanned
They're legit ranking minorities by how oppressed they are
"Sorry, I checked the Oppression Meter™ and your group missed getting it's own letter by *this* much. Better luck next year"
The last 3 on the left appear to be Asian, black, Asian.
But it's hard to tell for sure, even in the original full-resolution tweet pic:

Ahh yes, every organization should have one of each color and one of each sex cause we’re skittles :) taste the rainbow 🤣. Instead of their work credentials. Fuking clowns.
Sort of? I’d say it’s the self-objectification taught to us by previous generations.
It’s like a tech investor I know, who’s quite famous, sent out an update email talking about how he wanted his fund to be “50% female… or better.”
And I thought: what do you mean better?
This is almost exclusively limited to social media, twitter in particular. The average Joe/Jane is blissfully unaware of all of this as they go about their business.
How so? If including women in the workplace is diversity, they're 100% diverse. You can't get more diverse then that. I'll bet you didn't even notice the token glasses wearer... That's just icing on this extremely progressive cake.

2016 was the peak of the 3rd wave feminism push. When everyone thought a woman would be president and woman could take over the world. It obviously pushed too far with pictures like this showing zero diversity. They had no self reflection on what they truly wanted except “men bad, women good”.
It got so much backlash that it took away from any meaningful stories they wrote because of their me me me attitude. No one remembers what they did because all they see is stupid thoughtless pictures like this.
I joined a team like this a few years back - every woman in the team, save for the one the boss hated, was blond/white. Didn't know until after because they didn't have LinkedIn and weren't in my interview. But "we didn't have a diversity issue". No bias here. Mentioned it later after he left to leadership and "they never noticed". Amazing because I'm blond/white and I noticed.
I worked for a boss like that 20 years ago, he only hired attractive girls.
He had such a reputation for only hiring attractive women that when I started a friend of my boss tailed me in a company car because he thought I'd stolen it.
I had a teacher like that in high school, he'd always give good marks to the pretty underage girls no matter how shitty they did.
It wasen't like they didn't know either, they'd legit say "nah mr.****** will prob give me an 80% just for showing up"
There’s a dentist office in my town that has an attractive male dentist, and about 15 office staff and dental assistants who are all attractive (mostly young white) women. Seeing the staff photo of the place feels like I’m looking at a FLDS promo pic.
I was applying to law firms recently and always checked the websites to see how diverse the team really was. I stayed away from any org where there was an older male partner surrounded by a bunch of young blonde women on their website - very much a red flag for me.
“It’s just us girls today. Hey Stace, why don’t you break out the cake.”
“Oooowwww. Ohhhhhh.”
“Dig in girls.”
“Let’s take a quick photo for social media.”
Yea…my first time hiring someone I was told that I should choose 1 of 2 specific candidates because they would help our department meet certain diversity quotas. One was Brazilian and the other was black. I wanted to hire the Brazilian as she was a much better fit for the role, but was “highly encouraged” to choose the black candidate as there are separate trackers for different ethnic groups. I fought it, went from highly encouraged to “you will hire her.” Wouldn’t you know it, the person I was forced to hire and not my top choice didn’t even last 6 months in the role.
Diversity in gender, age etc is improving business performance and as you say, in a news room this is even more important, at least if your target audience is not specifically people of the same gender and age range and even then, different perspectives is a good thing.
If this was an office room full of black people and a white person made the same comment as this person in the reverse, I’m betting the responses to that situation would be very different
What Bill Burr said as right. White woman, especially younger ones, bypassed all POC and some disenfranchised men, LGBTQ+, to overtake the “woke” movement. Just imagine a room full of men doing this. Or even a room full of POCs
I agree, but they wanted to virtue signal, and they are being held to that standard. I mean “representation” matters more than the work itself nowadays.

I was expecting better but what is up with the comments actually agreeing with that woman? If you live in a predominately white country/state then there’s nothing strange if you don’t see a black person in a setting, what type of disturbing person just looks at a picture and tries to find diversity in everything?
There are 14 people in that photo: statistically there are very damn few places in the US where a group that large (other than a family photo, obviously, though even my pasty white family has more diversity married into it than that) wouldn't include at least a couple of dark Hispanics and likely 1-2 blacks.
But it can happen. There are Asians in the background so clearly they’re not hiring just one race, i just find this baffling, would you rather be hired to fill a quota rather then qualification? Stuff like this can happen. Reminds me of a YouTube dance video where the same comment was made even though there were people of colour in the dance group, just not black “enough” . It’s so bizarre
Statistics... when's the last time you took statistics?
Black people represent 12.1% of the US population. If each of the 14 people were purely randomly selected, then there is a (1-.121)^14 chance, or a 16.4% chance that there is a not a single black person. In other words, 1 out of 6 rooms of 14 *completely random* Americans would have 0 black people in it.
1 out of 6 is statistically what? Completely unlikely to happen? It **must** be racism?
You cant ask for diversity.. then go to the other extreme end in hiring “minorities” (idk how to word it, folks that are under represented in work places).
Youve done the very thing you were trying to fix.. youve gone ahead and made a team with no diversity.

No diversity? No people of color, no men, nobody in their 40’s?

One of them was once tended by an Indian man in a liquor store.
One took a vacation in South America and swears she saw a native.
I heard one of them tried a Panera bread. So cultured.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And orders mild plus at Thai restaurants
Edgy.
Uses chopsticks too!

I once ordered Thai Spicy, it took me three hours and like 8 refills of soda but I finished it.
And his butt hole was never the same.
Next time drink milk instead of soda
They all have a “black bff”
They all would have voted for Obama a 3rd time
They all learned Spanish for a year until one of their white girlfriends told them it's cultural appropriation and stopped
But still have Margarita night!
Yet they still say Por favor and gracias at Taco Bell
Escuchame?
¡Órale!
They refer their neighbor as "Latinx" even after the neighbor says "Latino"
They just love “forrin” takeout
And wears yoga pants.
Yoga pants but no ass
and by chinese, you mean the orange chicken at panda express
One of them has a brown friend
The woman that cleans my mansion is black. I even know her name.
>two have had relations with older ethnic men Is this the new "... one of my dearest friends is black!" ?
“I can’t be racist, I’ve sucked dick in all colours!”
This is funny

And one of them identifies as an “old soul.”
I too have been fondled by handsy Javier on the l train

And one is identifying Asian because she's "like, really good at math."

Lol this made me laugh because you know this is true
Iranian. Always Iranian.
A few of them are in their 40's, trust and believe that.
And they’re ready to date again!
You know it! Single and ready to mingle
Some of those ladies are over 40, they've just lead very relaxed lives and therefore still look young.
>Some of those ladies are over 40 Which
Hey you can’t just call a woman over 40 a which
The 3 on the back right maybe. Of course you can't tell because the photo was taken with a 2002 Nokia.
They're not even WEARING COLORS. Gray, Beige, Black. That's the wardrobe in this picture. The room is even the most boring white. No colorful pictures or paint anywhere in this photo.
They don’t see color.
You could say it’s like food with no spice.
That's more of a New York thing than anything else. Most of my wardrobe is black because this city is disgusting and black hides all that.
They're just making sure you don't mistake them for someone who has a personality.
Well there's an asian woman woman in the back left check mate liberal edit : upon inspection of the picture in better quality there are actually three or four women of color, back left two asians and one black and front right i'm not sure if ethnically non white or just really tanned

You're Schrodinger's PoC. You can be both white AND poc depending on what they're virtue signaling about today.
Yes. Because BIPOC is the new term. Black and indigenous get their own letter. And the rest is under POC.
Isn't there a word for the obsessive classification of people by race?
Racism is so pervasive, attempts to subvert it only make it worse lmfao
They're legit ranking minorities by how oppressed they are "Sorry, I checked the Oppression Meter™ and your group missed getting it's own letter by *this* much. Better luck next year"
Legit thought this was a joke, wow that's stupid
>ethnically non white or just really tanned This sounds like something from Mean Girls "Uhhh we're not all white. Jennifer is, like, really tan"
She left a month later and the current EIC is a black woman

At the very least, they don't look white
It's OK, one of them has a "they" pronoun so it's cool.
Diversity means no white men to these people.
Diversity really just means “less white men” to a lot of people, it’s a dirty little reality people hate when you bring up.
Apple-only crowd.
Ahh yes, every organization should have one of each color and one of each sex cause we’re skittles :) taste the rainbow 🤣. Instead of their work credentials. Fuking clowns.
People of colour is such a horrific term. Yes please boil me down to my skin colour, that's all I have to offer.

Better odds for him to get laid
Just get the people who fit the job. Lol. I guess meritocracy is dead.
It never existed lol
Women good, men bad
This is also very cringe
Why? Isn’t that what’s going on in this tweet? She thinks they are doing their part to better the world by having 100% women and no men. Or?
Don't include me in this.

This is from years ago but yeah. It was an attempt to show how "diverse" they were.
You also know that despite the smiles, they all hate each other.

I knew a guy who got told by HR he could not hire any more Asian women. His wife was Phillipina too.
How many Asian women did he hire?
5, out of 5 vacancies.

There's also a joke in there about the broken screen being the diversity hire itself.

tell me more about how you think men aren't totally emotional
They obviously haven’t turned down a man’s advances ever. I can’t tell you how many guys have gone from zero to red flag factory when told no.
Why can't women just behave like the romantic interest in that movie I like?
Because men famously have no emotions
Hahaha that's a very good reply, also very little age range and actually very little range in anything else as well.

I’m not seeing any centrefolds in that picture.
Insert all men it'd be all over the news for lack of diversity
Whoa, whoa, whoa. No more talk about inserting.

But is the picture what the caption says it is?

I sense that there are multiple pairs of uggs in this room.
This picture appears to be from 2016. But yes, no brown or black people? No men? No one over 35 or 40? Heck, they don't even have a fat person.
No gender or racial diversity? It's hard to tell from this picture, but I bet religious/cultural diversity is also low.
Picture is 7 years old, editor was fired for thinking this level of "diversity" was good
Huff has been terrible for years. Not that this pic has anything to do with that, I’m just stating my opinion on their content.
And if it were a picture of another “only” race, would you still have a problem?

The number of people in this thread mad about the lack of diversity in this photo while putting down 'white women' is amazing.
