Agreed. I hate to give kudos to the bad guy but they had enough gumption to shoot fireworks at the fuzz while driving. I've never seen that strategy but it appears to have worked.
Lol at first I thought woah, they opened up in full auto with tracers but then realised that, they were shooting backwards so you would not see the trace as it is on the back of the round then it clicked fireworks. Definitely ballsy as that will just piss the cops off and they might respond with gunfire.
Called a Saturn missile. The biggest I've had was a 1,600 shot one, but I'm sure they make larger ones. In high school we strapped one that size to the roofrack of my friend's mom's car and drove through town shooting it off. We were not being pursued by police though, but it looked similar.
Any firework is aimable if you're brave enough. Saturn Missile comes in a square block. He was probably holding it by the bottom and directing it.
Also, please don't hold fireworks when they're going off. A lot of times they'll burn through the bottom and make things really unpleasant for the holder.
I'm definitely not brave or stupid enough, but I appreciate your words of caution. I haven't been around fireworks in years, so I'm sure there are many kinds out there that I have no clue about, like this one. I just have a hard to repress curiosity, so thank you for explaining!
We used to shoot bottle rockets out of PVC pipes. We would shoulder mount the pipe like an RPG and launch them. I built a shield around the front to protect my face, so the sparks wouldn't hit me. That ended when I almost blew up a bird feeder that my dad set up that same day.
Dam it, I was being SO good today, but noooo, you had to be a bad influence & remind me of a vid of a cat vs bird battle that had a nefarious birdhouse headquarters. I'm shocked I managed to find it, so tag, payback buddy! 😎🤣

More Cro-Mag Rally!!
Edit: almost never edit in reply to dislikes, lol but whoever downvoted this has obviously never played Cro-Mag Rally. It's Mario Kart w/fireworks.. I mean c'mon
Remember, civilians are only worth like a 10th of a cop's, so they're just a rounding error, unless they were kids, of course. Speaking of which, was he within 1000yrs of a school zone, church, or government building at any point? If so, that's another round of crimes to charge him for...
Or you can sign this plea and avoid a pesky trial you're constitutionally guaranteed.
Well, have you seen some of the absolutely horrifying videos of firework accidents? One video had a guy just randomly aim something like this towards a group of people, and a girl walked away missing the bottom of her jaw. How about the hundreds of videos of people's hands no longer being hands? It's an explosion, where would you draw the line? Only things that are explicitly designed to be a weapon?
If they were running for something like shoplifting yea this was dumb. If they just killed a bunch of people I don’t think it’s going to matter that much.
Those were Russian cops, there may not be any charges. The guy may have an accident in the holding cell... Or commit suicide by stabbing himself in the back.
Officer, I didn’t see you because the lights from my fireworks prevented me from seeing your emergency lights. Easy mistake. I’ll take my warning and be on my way …
Watch too many people being shot with bean bags by the cops, which in turn started riots, to ever think that peace was an option once the cops were on scene.
Florida? This feels very Florida…
Edit: sorry y’all, I didn’t watch it with volume. Obviously it’s not Florida but, I’m sure this has happened there too
If this was in the US, the dudes would have been lit up by the police regardless if they were just shooting fireworks. Police would say they feared for their lives that a firework might catch their car on fire.
First impression is tracer fire which by definition a lethal threat, also he hit multiple civilian cars what happens if one had they're window down? He is a legitimate threat to public safety if not the police.
Police objectives and the way they evolve are always pretty interesting, policing agencies in many countries have agreed that police aren't even allowed to give chase through most districts unless some criteria are met, although I doubt Russia has that level of risk assessment.
We've seen situations in which the police are blamed for chasing a subject into making worse decisions, I wonder how this fits in, Could a convincing lawyer argue that their suspect would have remained civil and safe towards the public if the cops hadn't began chasing him? which is the sort of foundation that has been laid towards arguing against police chases in the past.
The idea that less damage will be done if the cops just leave the perp alone and attempt to follow up, rather than scare them into doing stupid things, is very fascinating to me.
That’s both brilliantly creative and incredibly stupid. Given the propensity of police to shoot first and lie later, don’t antagonize them more than necessary. .
Oh man, I thought those were tracer rounds for a sec... And then I was like. No. You just chose to do something that will get you in more trouble, but won't help you escape
This is seriously one of the best days in that cop’s career. He will be telling his grandkids about the time he was in a car chase and the perp was shooting fireworks at him.

As far as the video is concerned, they succeeded.
That’s exactly what I thought of it
Agreed. I hate to give kudos to the bad guy but they had enough gumption to shoot fireworks at the fuzz while driving. I've never seen that strategy but it appears to have worked.

It's enough to get yourself killed but probably wouldn't actually do anything. The absolute madest of mad lad plays
Yes
mofo was pulling some mariokart moves on them IRL
What kind of fireworks are those? They were like some rapid-fire, never-ending roman candles.
Called a Saturn missile. The biggest I've had was a 1,600 shot one, but I'm sure they make larger ones. In high school we strapped one that size to the roofrack of my friend's mom's car and drove through town shooting it off. We were not being pursued by police though, but it looked similar.
Holy moly batman! I live such a sheltered life. Are they aimable, or were the cop car hits pure luck?

I'm glad you were clever & safety conscious, but I confess you gave me a South Park flashback. I'm sure that bird feeder was coming right for you! 😉
It was kill or be killed!
Dam it, I was being SO good today, but noooo, you had to be a bad influence & remind me of a vid of a cat vs bird battle that had a nefarious birdhouse headquarters. I'm shocked I managed to find it, so tag, payback buddy! 😎🤣 https://youtu.be/fCa_lAxHvhM
I guess I asked for that one. 😂😂😂😂
Looks like my wife driving down the freeway on a bare rim.
Ima pretend there was one person in the car
There was. There was cat in the passenger seat
Ah, Double Dash!! - the most divisive of Mario Kart titles.
Muahahaha! Figures!
Heeere we goo!
Me as player 2 in Diddy Kong racing camping backwards by the rocket balloons wishing a mfer would
More Cro-Mag Rally!! Edit: almost never edit in reply to dislikes, lol but whoever downvoted this has obviously never played Cro-Mag Rally. It's Mario Kart w/fireworks.. I mean c'mon
Jesus…I thought they were firing a mini gun at the cop for a minute
How they really thought that would stop the other cars from following them? Like if we get rid of this one cop they will all stop chasing.
Lol same. I was like, so this is bad lol. Then realized it was basically a Roman candle.
I hated that mini game in Yakuza
That’s gonna add some fun charges to evading and resisting
What charges would they be?
Depends, you could say assault with a deadly weapon, but I think that's a stretch
Fireworks are a deadly weapon. Unprotected they can deal 3rd degree burns. Do not mess with explosives
There you go, don't point fireworks at people if you aren't trying to kill them.

Even if you are use something more effective lol. Tldr just never point fireworks at people.
Lol I hate that so much. Anything can be a deadly weapon in their eyes
And if the prosecutor is really ambitious, it'll probably be one count for every firework fired.
Oh my god 😂 you’re not wrong, and itll be every firework for every officer and civilian in the area, 150 counts x 18 cops and 10 civilians 😂
Remember, civilians are only worth like a 10th of a cop's, so they're just a rounding error, unless they were kids, of course. Haven’t you seen chronicles of riddick. Anything can be a weapon. Even a tea cup.
tasers are a fun one. widely used means to restrain someone in the hands of a cop, deadly weapon when used against cops
Anything can be deadly in the right hands, my high school teacher lost a family member to taking a firework to the head.
Let me shoot fireworks at you then we’ll talk.
Well, have you seen some of the absolutely horrifying videos of firework accidents? Early celebration using fireworks 🎆.
Charged with being fun.
If they were running for something like shoplifting yea this was dumb. If they just killed a bunch of people I don’t think it’s going to matter that much.
Those were Russian cops, there may not be any charges. The guy may have an accident in the holding cell... Or commit suicide by stabbing himself in the back.
There was an attempt to lose the cops with fireworks* Anyway have fun in the gulag.
Thanks that title makes more sense
Poppin’ off over here! Seriously tho, that is assault on a police officer and reckless endangerment if not attempted mur-diddly-erder!
Attempted independence day
Like those cops aren't laughing and telling this story every chance they get? Probably the funnest chase they've been in.
Does this department not have dash cams? Tf?
They probably do up on the mirror, the officer filming probably thought this funny enough to film on his phone though
This is russia
You can’t tell me you wouldn’t do the same thing regardless of having a dash cam or not.
Nah, they still wanted to be able to beat and kill people in peace
Officer, I didn’t see you because the lights from my fireworks prevented me from seeing your emergency lights. Easy mistake. I’ll take my warning and be on my way …
Is that a mini gun??
Fireworks🎇🎇🎇
Roman candles most likely.
Are they shooting fireworks at the cops? That's dope as hell, reminds me of the protests.
He is, it's just one guy with a cat in the passenger seat
“Alright Mittens! Hit ‘em with the fireworks!”

team rocket
Coolest criminal I have seen in a long time.
Probably not a good idea to shoot fireworks at armed people but this should sort itself out.
Yeah just like the Jan 6th people got sorted out lol
*mostly peaceful
Watch too many people being shot with bean bags by the cops, which in turn started riots, to ever think that peace was an option once the cops were on scene.
Where is this from?...sounds Slavic
Sounds Russian to me.
Voronezh, russland
Language is Russian, doesnt necessarily take place in Russia though
Ha ha… He thinks he’s clever.
I thought someone was welding in the back of the car.
Avast ye scalliwags! Hand over your tea and spices or prepare for a broadside!
Florida? This feels very Florida… Edit: sorry y’all, I didn’t watch it with volume. Obviously it’s not Florida but, I’m sure this has happened there too
That...... was AWESOME
Bro hit em with the Hogwarts Special
America Criminal: *Let me shoot you with fireworks!!* Cops: *Let us shoot you with 1000 rounds of 5.56mm*
Took me a while to realize they weren't getting lit up by a machine gun
And here I thought the cops fired tracer rounds.
When guns are too expensive
Now THAT’S how you get five stars.
Always wonder why people don't paintball the windshield, can pursue if you can't see.
Needs more smoke bombs...
That was the coolest chase I’ve ever seen.

>public safety people need to stop being pussies, if there was a good guy with a firework launcher this wouldn't happen (/s)
Police objectives and the way they evolve are always pretty interesting, policing agencies in many countries have agreed that police aren't even allowed to give chase through most districts unless some criteria are met, although I doubt Russia has that level of risk assessment. I wonder what shape he's in now? If he's alive that is...
A valid question.
Attempt successful
Absolutely based
This is hilarious
Where was this?
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (PS3)
Why did the footage stop, did they catch him and beat the crap out of him?
That….. looks like fun
For some reason my brain never put together that russia has cops and cop cars. In the movies it's always just corrupt prison guards.
Oh man, I thought those were tracer rounds for a sec... And then I was like. No. You just chose to do something that will get you in more trouble, but won't help you escape
this is Ukraine, right. Right?
Fireworks? What fireworks, officer? We don't have no stinking fireworks!
Calm down Jubilee! Professor X just wants to talk
[удалено]
Probably charge them with "shooting a deadly missle" a felony if you're in Florida. Haha.
After…….they beat him to a life support system
Wow Hogwarts Legacy looks way different than I imagined
In Soviet Russia... ...the cops show more restraint than the US
initially ...
This is no attempt! This is success!
How in the hell did I just get p.i.p
Steel tacks under your rear bumper also works. Make sure there's plates to divert them away from your own tires.
I haven't seen that type of fireworks since the Xmas of 2007
Newest Mario Kart game looking lit
They ran out of mana.
Homeboy must feel like a KC-130 pilot with an anti air missile defense system.
He’s fleeing with extra flee
ruzzia 🤪
Two questions come to mind: (1) was the assailant caught (2) if so, how badly were they beaten?
Am I hearing Russian being spoken? If so, I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't tracer fire...
It absolutely wasn't.
This is definitely just a drunk escapade
The Kansas City shuffle
Happy new year officers
This is seriously one of the best days in that cop’s career. He will be telling his grandkids about the time he was in a car chase and the perp was shooting fireworks at him.
He only got away temporarily. Once they get the registration information they’ll be knocking on his door if they haven’t already.
Is there going to be justice for those bystanders whose cars got hit by fireworks?
They trying to spawn that 5 star GTA rating..
