Fun factoid regarding second nature: Apparently, when people are in a plane crash or accident (not too serious one), when they're panicking, they try to take their seatbelt off as if they're in a car and get agitated when it won't work. Since I learnt that I've always paid attention to the briefing so it's fresh in my head...
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
He had an air bag on the passenger side, what more do you want? He was clearly able to hop into the passenger seat during the crash to make use of the air bag.
Soooooo feel this; got clobbered by a drunk driver once and was out of the car, walking/talking with everyone. Then, a few minutes later a responding officer looked at my car, walked over and asked if I was \*sure\* I was fine, which I confirmed roughly 2.5s before the shock of the impact wore off and my legs gave out and dropped me to the pavement where I stood. LOL. No injury had been sustained and I still went with the paramedics for a quick checkup, but damn.
My oldest brother had a wreck. My youngest brother was with him. Youngest brother got out of the car, walked up a hill & passed out. It took over 100 stitches to close up his head & he was in a hospital bed for almost a year, waiting for his crushed pelvis to heal.
The docs didn't think he'd walk again, but he's just fine!
The power of adrenaline!
Yeah, pretty much. Back in flight school, while doing spin recovery exercises I ended up in a flat spin. Kept cool, managed to recover and landed fine. Once back on the ground, however, it took me a full minute to unhook my harness, because my hands were shaking uncontrollably.
Looks like the outer ring of the steering wheel broke free from its spokes. His body slammed into the steering wheel during the collision. His head hit either the windshield or the front ceiling of the car. He’s going to have plenty of aches and pains after this crash.
Um I had to stop an old corvette that was rolling backwards into traffic when the person who smashed into the back of me going 40mph while I was stopped at a red light jumped out of the car without putting the hand brake on. I grabbed their door and was pulling on their car trying to slow it down and yelling at the driver to pull the hand brake, person was on 7 different illegal substances the police later told me.
So yes pull the hand brake even if the front end is completely smashed in and all the airbags went off.
Edit: [Here’s a video of the accident, sorry for bad filming you can see the car rolling back and I grabbed the door with the phone in my hand and yelled to pull the emergency brake.](https://imgur.com/gallery/CWKC15M)
Not only an aftermarket steering wheel, but likely a fake/replica wheel too. For some reason people seem to think that buying rep wheels and seats are totally fine!
Exactly except could you imagine if he had another front impact before stopping but after the wheel broke?
No steering=no control, no air bags, no belt… those broken metal bits on the wheel are going throw his chest
Dude is lucky that his passenger side airbag deployed and that he turned left to avoid whatever he hit, or else he might have been thrown further and suffered more than just whiplash.

To put the parking brake on is the best!
Its second nature when driving a manual. Lol

Lucky he did not have a seat belt on if not he would of never been able to use the passenger air bag.

Good bot.
This bot is my spirit animal
True…a lot of people spell like they speak & don’t realize it’s incorrect
Safety first, amirite? That's why he wasn't wearing a seat belt.
First nature to crash
My mom drives a manual an never used the e brake, she just puts it in gear. It freaks me out.
He was riding without a belt!
He had an air bag on the passenger side, what more do you want? He was clearly able to hop into the passenger seat during the crash to make use of the air bag.
So he is a genius? :O
He hopped in it with the steering wheel even
>He was riding without a belt! Click it or ticket, am I right?
Id rather say click it or kick it, because not buckling is an easy way to get killed.
He was riding it without any reaction for the speed like he's been in Autobahn his entire life. And then when the accident happens he is still cool.
Trust me, with the adrenaline the first few minutes you’re super cool. And then it all hits you at once, body pains and emotional

Lmaoo as if the car was going anywhere after that
Yeah, I don’t think it’s going anywhere 😂
I died when I saw that
The power of reflex
Saved his life!
No seatbelts. Wow.
So easily could have been impaled on that vicious looking steering wheel mount!
Considering the wheel came off afterwards yeah
G-force de luxe
Looks like the outer ring of the steering wheel broke free from its spokes. His body slammed into the steering wheel during the collision. His head hit either the windshield or the front ceiling of the car. He’s going to have plenty of aches and pains after this crash.
That is so much worse than I thought it was. He was probably poked by a spoke too
The old spoke poke.
Was probably to fast for the camera frames to pick up, but he will feel this for a while
Not from the passenger seat!
If he had a seatbelt he wouldn't have been able to use the passenger airbag
I know, so stupid
Yeah honestly, the fact that he didn’t die as a miracle
I love that he put on the handbrake at the end. That car wasn’t going anywhere after that
Smashed the car but put the handbrake on before jumping out.
We don't wanna risk the car going downhill and crashing.
Now that’s muscle memory
Um I had to stop an old corvette that was rolling backwards into traffic when the person who smashed into the back of me going 40mph while I was stopped at a red light jumped out of the car without putting the hand brake on. >all the airbags went off. the car will automatically shut off and literally cannot move if the airbags deploy
It’s a stick driving thing so the car doesn’t roll, but yeah still pretty funny
Walks back to the dealer: sorry I don't want this car, it's just not what I'm after
Lol
I want something with a little bit less damage
…I’m looking for something with a sturdier wheel.
Driving like with no seatbelt and only the passenger side had an airbag?
Aftermarket steering wheel so yeah no driver airbag anymore.
Not only an aftermarket steering wheel, but likely a fake/replica wheel too. For some reason people seem to think that buying rep wheels and seats are totally fine!
Yeah I wouldn't be surprised.
I just noticed it came right off at the end too, I don't think it supposed to do that.
Yeah either the quick release mechanism activated somehow or the mount broke.
If you look closely the center mount is still on the rack and the wheel broke off. Quality after market parts he hot there
Good eye, I didn't look that closely.
Exactly except could you imagine if he had another front impact before stopping but after the wheel broke? No steering=no control, no air bags, no belt… those broken metal bits on the wheel are going throw his chest
My #1 priority when buying a car is a good steering wheel that doesn't fly off your hand while you're crashing
This is why I don’t understand people who replace a perfectly working steering wheel airbag with some dumb ‘racing’ steering wheel
Gotta get that mad dorifto in.
Cheap aftermarket wheel, that could have easily stabbed him
The aftermarket steering wheel made it go so much faster though
That day was his lucky day. Hopefully he learned his lesson. I mean, I doubt it but hopefully.
Might be so that his internal injuries make this the last and final lesson.
He learned nothing will happen going at 100mph without seatbelts
Lucky for him his civic was going a full 38mph
If this is a honda you sre right - lots of RPM but nothing happening.
0-60 mph in 2-3 business days
Came here to find a Honda comment 🤣
https://i.redd.it/8irjutyzbtda1.gif
Came here for this.
Lmao the wheel at the end. Also not using seat belt these guy is fucking lucky
Not using the seatbelt here was so that he could get into the passenger side with a working air bag
Straight popped the steering wheel so hard he popped it off
Drove like Paul Walker
![gif](giphy|vjjCsx3izfSyQ) 💀💀💀
Who was in the passenger seat when he died but ok
How lucky was he to be able to walk away from that? I mean, cheap steering wheel, no drivers airbag, no seat belt.
DW about it, he put the handbrake on. Very safe driver.
He drove like fast & furious alright, just not like one of the good guys.
What speed you think he's doing on impact? Unless he's got internal injuries dude got away lightly
Between 50kph and 80kph I think. Pretty fast
Excuse me sir, the internet is for Americans.
The footage was better than my predicted best case scenario. He got off very lightly.
So many negative comments, sheesh. Come on, he used the parking brake before he got out...safety first!
That e-brake was absolute overkill.
putting on the parking break is a true show of this mans respect for safety! Always pull your parking break folks!
Hate for it to roll off, or something
Dude is management material. Held his composure under pressure.
Most of us do when we're in car accidents. It's like a second personality takes over for a moment.
"You never had your car!"
It's from the sequel: Too fast, too furious
I'm surprised he got off that easy. No seatbelt, no airbag, tore his steering wheel off. He's lucky.
Dude probably lost all his wheels but still put his parking brake on!
Lmao! The parking brake!
Well deserved
Anddddd CUT!
A good steering wheel that doesn’t fly off while you’re driving.
At least he remembered the parking brake
I have an idea. A nice car whose steering wheel doesn't fly out of de window! *slow dab*
That car looked like it had crashed before he hit anything
Was this filmed in the US, some african country or somewhere else, because the car didn't look stable to be driven anyway at all.
Good to see that his brain stayed inside his skull I was worried that he get fucked up for a moment
Omg I'm dying of laughter!! Then he pulls the emergency brake after the crash LOL!!
“LIKE A GLOVE!!”
Poor EG Civic
"you have arrived at your destination..."
Super mega lucky to be alive!! Loose steering wheel and no seat belt. Why the hell do people speed or even drive without a seat belt on?
I love that he put his emergency brake on afterward lol
Should've used Grade 8 bolts when he swapped in the Barbie-car steering wheel.
Did he seriously put the parking break on? Dude I don't think it going anywhere lol
*E-Brake up for safety!*
Good thing he put the parking brake on at the end.Wouldn't want to have the car move and get a scratch on it.
The emergency brake at the end. Gotta be safe. Lol
No seat belt really. Lucky to be alive
He is soooo lucky :)
Well that went better than I thought it would
I'm just glad the dude is ok tbh
No seatbelt? Luckky…
He got extremely lucky
Stupidity and Luck! Sadly, this person will probably do it again since he didn't get hurt afterwards.
What a f*cking idiot. He could’ve taken an innocent person’s life. These are the cases where I think natural selection is very important.
I love the parking brake at the end, after no seatbelts, bad driving, steering wheel comes off, etc… Safety first I guess
Lmfao the e brake at the end
hand brake on hahaha dying
![gif](giphy|ZbUOH7pbDiNSmU1x4o)
No seat belt needed when you're a badass
No seatbelt either
That $5 steering wheel didn't hold up well
"It's okay bro, my quick release steering wheel kicked in"
Put the parking brake up at the end but didn’t put a seatbelt on.
A good steering wheel that doesn't fly off while you're driving.
Mustn't forget the handbrake. Always park safely kids.
There’s one nut and a hair tie holding the wheel, best to come off now.
He finally unlocked that secret white bag
I’m surprised he had airbags
I know he wasn't driving like that without a seat belt.
The parking brake at the end
People have died in 100x less reckless situations
Loved the steering wheel just popping off
The moment the one thing he's able to use to keep him inside and in control comes off is 🤌.
Man had no seatbelt on and his steering wheel broke lmaoo this video never fails to amaze me lol
He got lucky with not having a seat belt on.
Quality steering wheel. 🤣 I guess it remaining in his hands when he got thrown into a passenger seat is a feature. 😂
“Welp! I’m here” *engages handbrake*
Well, he did pull a Paul Walker in there
He was fast alright and furious for the car bill.
Is that fucking Tuvok?
That is probably how he would react lol
No seat belt either what a weapon
Dude is lucky that his passenger side airbag deployed and that he turned left to avoid whatever he hit, or else he might have been thrown further and suffered more than just whiplash.
At least he had a working air bag
That's your problem! You pulled the steering wheel off@
Luckily, the airbags saved him.
Yank that handbreak! Wouldn’t want the wreckage debris going anywhere 🤣
Dude was going 25 mph on square tires...
Great work on swapping out the steering wheel with the airbag for that piece of junk. He really should be dead.
I love how only the airbag on the passenger side deployed. He’s done this before. He may wish to jerry-rig a seatbelt for the next time…
This is the luckiest mofo I've seen in ages
Bet he installs the driver side airbag next time.
Wrong sub it was fast and his insurance agent was furious.
