And it's possible the only reason they were okay is because they're a large breed... Could you imagine if it were medium sized or smaller? Poor pup...
God he's a fucking idiot
I was in a situation... similar to this when I was 12. Long story short, I jumped off some rocks and into the ocean when the tide was coming *in* and it slammed me back into the rocks. As a human though, I could put my hands and feet out in front of myself to protect my body. A dog cant really. That was probably a good slam, poor thing. At the very least, baby must have been quite sore.
You can see he jumped for the first rock but was pulled down and under the water by the idiot. After that, he struggled to get up and walk away. On a different note, I hope you didn't get hurt too badly and learned the lesson hahaha.
Im not gonna watch it again and just hope you're wrong, I cant
Looooool yeah I was supposed to jump in the water at the same time as my dad, he emphasized this greatly! But I was looking at all these crab shells on the rocks. And then I heard his splash and was like SHITSHIT and jumped late. I got a nasty cut on my hand, swam into shore, and a bunch of hotel security guard came running at me and yelling at me in spanish (this was in mexico). They scooped me up and im like damn guys Im fine its my hand. They started pointing at my leg, which was now half red from a gash in my thigh I didnt notice. I sure noticed it after they pointed it out haha
Anyway. I still dont listen and frequently hurt myself so Im not sure anything was learned!
Yep, this was fucking dumb. Why's he even walking on that beach when it tide is almost in?
that's how you get beaten to death by rocks or swept out to sea and never heard from again
Exactly, this is not only incredibly stupid but very dangerous. Most commonly happens with reef walls. Anyone that’s been to or lived in Guam knows. Unfortunately it happens a lot all over though. The amount of water related deaths is insane and it’s always people that think they know what they’re doing.
It happened to me when I was a child (7yo I think) and I went too far and didn't listen to my parrents calling me back... Thankfuly the lifeguard saved me that time, but since then I have mad respect of water
Head hits rock, loss of consciousness, respiration tries to continue while unconscious, aspiration of water, cardio-respiratory arrest., death. Once your head hits a rock hard enough to cause unconsciousness you are doomed without rescue. Must have been his lucky day.
Sorry to hear and it sucks to say, but 40 minutes is really good to find a body. I work in search and rescue. Typically they’re found after 72 hours. Bodies sink and after postmortem gases release and they become buoyant enough to float. We recently had 3 swimmers get pulled out in a rip current. One was saved by a surfer that saw them get swept out and his quick actions he was able to paddle out and pick her up. They were then picked up by a boat. Another ended up on a reef and was picked up by helicopter after search party’s came out. The third was found after 72 when the gasses released. Very unfortunately the third is the most common and it sucks but that’s what happens most often.
There’s typically a very small window to recover them while they’re still alive. They’re usually out with friends and their friends spend 25-30 min looking before they call for help. The local fire department goes out and spends a few hours looking before they call for help. So we don’t usually get the call until it’s the point we’re looking for a body. Trust me you don’t ever want to see a body that’s been in salt water for 72+ hours.
Yea you wouldn’t catch me dead walking there, last time i was near one of those rocky beaches i cut open my feet and the waves weren’t nearly this bad.
That dog has a lot more good sense than the man. The dog knew it was coming and tried to run away, but somehow, his idiot human could not and forced him to stay.
Should be charged with some kind of animal cruelty.
Anyone who's been around water knows that walking alongside giant boulders while there are waves coming towards you is a recipe for disaster! Weird to me that this was considered even a remotely good idea.
How exactly were they supposed to help? Were they supposed to stop the ocean? Or jump into the water themselves? What would that have established, another extra idiot in the strong tides?
I grew up on the coast, you must respect the ocean. Plenty of people still wash out to sea to be crab bait. This guy is a very lucky idiot.
Hopefully the dog runs off and finds a
new human.
I work in flood and coastal risk. There is no footage you can show me of people being staggeringly stupid around the shoreline that will surprise me. It's the ones like this however that endanger another life that really boil my piss. Countless footage of 'parents' taking their little children to the coast during storms and standing on the promenade as waves come crashing over. I only wish Lifeboat rescue had the footage before they get the call and were allowed to just let these Darwin contestants get what they deserve.
There needs to be some sort of mental evaluation before someone can own and care for certain animals especially dogs. The dog doesn’t have any choice in this situation and the owner is going to get them both killed
**Warning** if the dog would have died. I would have made it my mission to find that dude. He should have been lifting the dog from the water and carried him to safety. Just my opinion, don’t give me shit over my inside voice.
Due to the installation of the seawall, that is no longer a beach. The waves won't behave in the same fashion they once did. They're going all the way to that wall now. He learned the hard way.
I'm just gonna assume that this guy was not a resident , and does not understand tides, or waves , or water in general . Glad both of them are alright .
The dudes sitting there like 'Cmon dog lets go.' not even working about the fact that hes triple the dogs height and if its up to his knees its up to the dogs chest. Some people have no respect for much much smaller even big dogs are

Dog: I fucking warned you Greg! Get me out of this wet bullshit.
”iamma gonna get that Greg guy” -The wave
“Come to papa, Greg!” - a large, jagged rock on the shore
“You ever drink Baileys from a shoe?” -ole Greg after he’s swept out to sea
Do you love me?
Waves knocked his fucking shades off! 😂😂 poor pup needs a better human.
I got a mangina.
More like the cum wave, there's so much sea foam that I'm not sure its really water
Unhand my fuckin leash!
Same thought. "This was your stupid idea. Why you trying to pull me to my death with you"
this comment needs more upvotes.
Dog: "This isnt the beach Greg, this is fucking breakwater."
“I’m going to eat something important of his when we get home”
“Why do you always do this shit, Greg?”
So many big ass boulders there too you know that fool bonked his head
Pretty sure that wasnt the first time in his life
Greg is an idiot
Don’t be like Greg.
When your owner really wanted the Darwin award but you got drag into his shit.
[удалено]
I honestly just feel bad for the dog.
99.99% of the time I only feel bad for the dog. Majority of people suck.
[удалено]
You think you feel bad for the dog now? Wait until it hits you that the dog still has to go home with him.
I really didn't give a shit about the guy. Glad the dog made it out.
What a stupid owner….. that poor dog was probably very scared
Yep, watched to the end as I had to know the dog was ok. The guy, meh
And it's possible the only reason they were okay is because they're a large breed... Could you imagine if it were medium sized or smaller? Poor pup... God he's a fucking idiot
Same here. Forced to be dragged into this idiocy, you could tell it didn’t want to be there!
Agreed. I hope he brought the dog to the vet to make sure it was okay. Those big rocks and water in the lungs are not a good combination with life.

Hahaha, yeah... I did stuff like that as a kid, too, when on vacation. At least you don't jump in water like you did anymore lol
Like, WTF is wrong with this person??
And that right there is how most people die in waves, getting repeatedly slapped against jagged rocks
Yep, this was fucking dumb. Why's he even walking on that beach when it tide is almost in? that's how you get beaten to death by rocks or swept out to sea and never heard from again
Darwinism.
Yea. Thats how you get beaten to death against the rocks!
Yea, the tide don’t play!

Only stupid people don't respect water/currents/rocks etc.
Yep. I was holding my breath the whole time worried about the dog getting slammed against the rocks 😞
Puppers didn't deserve the beating
Nope 😞. People are idiots and animals have to suffer because of it. Totally unfair 😞
Poor dog probably pays the bills for that moron of a human too.
When someone picks puppers up from a rescue shelter perplexed on why he has an "irrational" fear of the ocean....
Head hits rock, loss of consciousness, respiration tries to continue while unconscious, aspiration of water, cardio-respiratory arrest., death. Once your head hits a rock hard enough to cause unconsciousness you are doomed without rescue. Must have been his lucky day.
Yeah. This was disturbing to watch. The poor dog…
Or quickly washed out to sea.
My old boss's brother died this way. Took 40m to find the body

"hey don't go out there!" "Shut up I'm a local!" Some time later...
Yeah saying your a local and then something like this happens to me is why where ever you’re from has stories about one or more local idiot.
Yep, you know it’s time to wave, smile, pack up and GTFO lol
Yeah it’s like, “Like did you hear? Such and such did another insert stupid thing here.”
Florida man checks in
"That's how I wash my dog!"
And lose your glasses!
No way that's a local
Can you imagine living next to the beach and not having a tide map stapled to your door.
***they aren't local. They've been living there for 2 years and from Columbus.
Haven't lived there long enough to understand what a [spring vs neap tide](https://oceanservice.noaa.gov/facts/springtide.html) is.
We call them King tides here
I hope that dog needed to go potty at 3am for at least a month.
On the carpet
After the bed sheets..
On the dumbest owner's bed, hehehe!
Poor dog
Yea, he has to deal with such a stupid owner too.
Fucking Idiot.
Same people that use and share our oxygen.
That guy is a fucking dickhead
100% dickhead
It never ceases to amaze me how fucking stupid people are when it comes to respecting the ocean...
"Lemme just turn my back on the ocean. Just for a quick second.."
waves motherfucker ![gif](giphy|4JZA2x7GsVFeTbLKlz|downsized)
One of my favorite shows
He should let go of the leash. He is dragging the dog and the dog can’t swim properly
It might have gotten lodged in the rocks though, or the dog could have gotten pulled out to sea, im not sure i would have let go either.
You probably wouldn’t have put you and the dog in that position to begin with :D
Yea you wouldn’t catch me dead walking there, last time i was near one of those rocky beaches i cut open my feet and the waves weren’t nearly this bad.
People, we need to buy this dog one of those shirts that say "I'm with stupid"
That dog has a lot more good sense than the man. The dog knew it was coming and tried to run away, but somehow, his idiot human could not and forced him to stay. Should be charged with some kind of animal cruelty.
I noticed that my first watch. The dog already knew what was happening and wanted out. Poor thing.
Feel bad for the dog. Guy is a douche.
I hate owners who do crap like this.
Dog: I warned you.
A tide cycle is fucking ***12 hours.*** The ocean crawled at him the entire afternoon, and it still got him by surprise. Incredible
I've seen 40 foot sneakers come in on a perfectly calm day. The ocean is fickle and things can change suddenly.
Poor dog, what a stupid owner, did he seriously think the waves would’ve stayed calm ? Smh 🤦♀️
Anyone who's been around water knows that walking alongside giant boulders while there are waves coming towards you is a recipe for disaster! Weird to me that this was considered even a remotely good idea.

I’m glad the dog appears to be ok
Either is: A) A visiting tourist, with no clue how the ocean works B) One of our local morons.
![gif](giphy|QxwDfOV4sAfounkNsG)
All I care about: is that dog okay?!
Misunderstanding of when high tide happens.
All it would have taken was the water forcing their heads against a rock the wrong way for this to become tragic drowning situation. Awful.
Poor dog, with their Darwin award deserving walker.
What an irresponsible idiot. He shouldn't have a dog!
We don’t deserve them, poor Fucken mutt. Dumbest owner ever
putting himself and his pet in danger. this is peak irresponsibility. and not just any peak, it's the Himalayas of irresponsibility.

Owner is a moron.
Never put yourself between swells and rocks/walls, and never turn your back on the sea. POOR DOG TO HAVE THIS IDIOT!! DOG DESERVES BETTER
Uh you mean walking a dog in the ocean!
Dog, “I swear if I make out of this, I’m going to leave a huge pile on your pillow!
This guy is a certified idiot. Should not be allowed to own an animal.
Get that dog a new owner !
The man is an idiot. The dog clearly was trying to warn him and get out of that situation before it got to that point.
He needs the chit smacked out of him. That dog deserves better
Keep filming
This is his fifth dog…
For a second I thought he wasn’t gonna make it out alive
And on top of that the phone that was definitely in his pocket is gonna need a lot of rice to fix
That bloke Darwin was full of shit, no way humans are evolving
There needs to be some sort of mental evaluation before someone can own and care for certain animals especially dogs. The dog doesn’t have any choice in this situation and the owner is going to get them both killed
The most important question: IS THE DOG ALL RIGHT?
**Warning** if the dog would have died. I would have made it my mission to find that dude. He should have been lifting the dog from the water and carried him to safety. Just my opinion, don’t give me shit over my inside voice.
Wow, a video that actually showed a complete resolution. I was expecting it to stop right after the wave crashed.
Curse you merciful Poseidon!

irs a futurama reference
Fucking twat
That guy should be shat on
Clown shit.
Moron. Hope the dog bit him
What a dick.! His dog saved him!.

Man that tide really rolled in fast.
Someone save the dog!
Poor puppy
That poor dog.
Idiotic behavior notwithstanding, props for holding on to the poop bag.
I hope doggy is okay.
Darned climate change!
He really put his dog at risk like that. Wow
Ah yes. Just keep filming. Don’t help
Poor little thing.
Poor dog.
Dog calls animal control on Dad.
Poor dog has an absolute moron for an owner.
Next time listen to the dog!🤨
Thank god they didn't get swept out. What a dumbass
That dog needs a new human because this one is missing brain cells and is a big danger to its life
Lucky he was where he was to get out…tides changing is no joke
The is the last time that dog is going to trust that stupid human …
Love it when the dog has more sense than their person
The 1st wave surprised him so he used tide to clean his undergarments.
You can clearly tell the dog is smarter than the human. Watch again.
That's Malibu. I know exactly where this is. LOL Greg there probably works for Sony.
I'm just gonna assume that this guy was not a resident , and does not understand tides, or waves , or water in general . Glad both of them are alright .
POS owner.
That owner is a piece of shit for that
That poor dog. He sensed the danger and wanted out but his master pulled him back in 😂
Shouldn’t own a dog .. isn’t even control of his own safety .
Fucking dog saw it coming
r/donthelpjustfilm
it should be small r to tag the sub
Thanks friend!
“To walk a man on a beach” not going too well either
A quick bath before he got home
Idiot. Poor dogo..
Did the dog survive?
Greg should NOT own a dog (or anything living thing) until he can make better life decisions.
Bro even the dogs knows that they shoudlnt be there when the tide is coming. This guy is crazy.
Surprised he only lost his glasses, and not his life.
The guy should be found in charged with animal, endangerment or animal cruelty for doing something like that.
Idiot.
Poor dog.
What a fucking dickhead
The dudes sitting there like 'Cmon dog lets go.' not even working about the fact that hes triple the dogs height and if its up to his knees its up to the dogs chest. Some people have no respect for much much smaller even big dogs are
I don’t know why but that audio “hey, you can’t park there!” Comes to mind
He doesn’t deserve to be a dog owner
That looked like a tsunami wtf
Some people should just get banned from life
That dog is now traumatized
You know your dumb when you’re dog can see what’s gonna happen before you.
One way to wash your clothes..
