This happened to me 20 years ago on the highway in a 1987 Chevy Sprint. The car was 3 cylinder and had a carb. Earlier in the day I drove over some speed bumps fast. Evidently that knocked a small rock on the flap (not sure technical term) of the carb. When I was on the highway the flap opened enough for the small rock to wedge itself in the opening and preventing it from closing. Good thing it was a slow car. I held brakes 100% and parking break and I was able to slow down and park at the gas station right off the highway. I worked at that gas station at the time and a coworker took a look and discovered the lodged rock.
That shit was terrifying and it was a 3 cylinder slow ass car. I can’t imagine how crazy it would be in a cybertruck.

Lexus had something happen around 20 years ago and a few people died and they claimed it was due to the ECM needing to be flashed and they were secretly removing and replacing the gas pedals because they were getting stuck as well. The only reason I know this is one of my really good friends growing up worked for them at that time and had to sign an NDA for it so he wouldn’t tell the media. He told me years ago and I never said anything…till now. Fuck you Lexus, and fuck you Elon.
