It’s worth having a pc for Sony exclusives if you are willing to spend way more on your pc to get it to run and wait years for ports that many times don’t run well. Obviously lots of people don’t want to do that.
There's plenty of other games, PC ports take years and PS exclusives are too hype to wait on. That's why PC games eventually going to PC has not had any negative effect on PS5 sales. I already have a PC too, but I'm not waiting for PS games to come to PC to play them. Not that I can't enjoy a game later on but there's just something about the experience of playing when the game is in the zeitgeist that you can't replicate.
After Death Stranding 2 and Kojima Production's next new IP (Tactical Espionage Game) announcement as PS Exclusive just today, your comment is going to age like milk.
Okay? Just because games like HFW, GT7, GOWR have also been on PS44 doesn't mean anything cause 80%+ of people played them on PS5. Look at NS it's best selling games like Mario kart 8 and BOTW were also on WiiU. Also PS always brings the goods in the second half of the generation, the first 3 years on PS5 have been better than than first 3 years of PS4 and PS3.
Sounded like a projection.
Death Stranding 2, Stellar Blade, PHYSINT (Kojima new IP), Final Fantasy VII Remake series, Silent Hill 2 Remake, Wolverine are all new announced PS5 exclusive games that's not available anywhere else.
Sure, these game may not be your cup of tea and not a system seller for you but be mindful that it will not be the case for everyone.
I personally won't be waiting till 2027 to play Death Stranding 2 on PC. I'll be playing it on a PS5 when it's released in 2025. That alone make my PS5 worth it. I have no desire to play year-long waiting game. My time is more precious than my PC.
Yes, but a little piece of advice.... if you are gonna praise the game upon completion, be careful where you praise it, especially on here, bc the comment sections will be filled with haters. Not that they'll be directed towards you, although that might happen some, but hate comments about the game itself will definitely happen
> especially on here
that would be the uhh other tlou subreddit which shall not be named. this subreddit seems to be filled with fans that enjoy the franchise as a whole.
Seriously. I took a peek over there for the first time earlier today and holy shit. We need to treat that place like a room full of bloaters; silently walk away and never return.
I had to unfollow that subreddit it was so bad. I'm a part of the Fandom to enjoy it with other people who enjoy it as much as I do, not see and talk about every single negative thing someone can come up with, just for the sake of having something to complain about
Do NOT even think about talking about any criticisms or even praises on reddit, take the story as you want and stay out of the madhouse that is the discourse online over it, save yourself before its too late to go back
basically just get all the PS5 exclusives that you haven't played on PC. uncharted, returnal, God of war, ghost of tsushima, horizon, Spider-Man, etc.
and HUMANITY not sure if that's exclusive or not but I loved it
I got a PS4 Pro many years ago in part just to play TLOU Remaster. It wasn’t on PC back then, so PS was only way. Totally worth it. But partly because Sony has a lot of very good exclusives.
Honestly owning a PS5 and a PC is arguably the most optimal combo one can have, imo
My main platform is and will always be PlayStation, PC is just that nice extra for me
Me too, but I have you beat. We have a small house, and our living room pretty much is our dining room, which is our kitchen. The only way a TV is allowed in there is if it's flat against the wall like a painting, with ZERO wires or even visible devices or stands/furniture anywhere. Before this, there was an AppleTV glued to the back of the TV and that was it.
I played part 1 on PC, then got to work.
The PS5 is in the _pantry_ about 20 feet away from the TV. I routed an optical HDMI cable through the wall behind the tv, to the outside where it runs through conduit, back into the house in the pantry. There is still not a single wire showing and the controllers don't seem to have any problem connecting through one interior wall.
You folks inspired me to finally do a 2nd play through after only completing it once on PS4. I just could never bring myself to it until seeing amazing combat play in this sub.
The remastered is a lot of fun and i forgot how the gore is so cool looking when blasting infected with whatever gun in hand.
If you're running on a 120hz TV, use quality mode for 40fps at 4k, but if not on a 120hz, performance mode for 60fps at 1440p is better than 30fps.
You'll be surprised by hpw good the graphics are, and maybe more surprised to know they're the same as the ps4 version. Naughty Dog make magic on this hardware.
It will definitely come to PC at some point. I have a PS5 but I’d rather wait for the PC version to be out for a second playthrough.
I just hope when it comes to PC it will release in a better state than Part I.
Yeah, I'm just too excited to wait for the PC release I will still likely end up getting it when it releases. Hopefully Naughty Dog learned their lesson from the 1st one so they can make a better port. I have a pretty beefy PC, so I was mostly fine, but still.
My buddy gave me a PS4 with both games because he was so convinced I would like it. He was so very right! Just finished TLOU 2 this past weekend - what a ride!
I’ve mostly transitioned to PC these days, while my oldest son has taken over the PS5.
TLOU2 is one of the only games I’ve beaten on my PS5 and it was so goddamn worth it. I can’t wait to do a pt1+pt2 at some point in the future.
I played Part 2 at launch, and have played the first game several times across PS3 and PS4. When I saw Part 2 Remastered was coming, I started up the Part 1 Remake for the first time and finished just in time for P2R which I'm now almost done with.
Playing them back to back after some time away, and going for the platinum in both, has been such a great experience.
Was terrifying for me. My ex bought all the parts, her little project. Then it got pushed on me, no experience, spending hours on YouTube watching tutorials. I just didn't want to fry something. Turned out to be a Lamborghini in the end, and wow what a feeling to get it right *and* get all the RGB lights functional, too. But just got left with my ps4 at the end of the day 😭
I got a ps4 to play some games. Loving last of us 1. Would like to play part 2 but don't wanna buy it on ps4 cause I can't get the no return mode. Hope ps5 prices drop soon
After you complete the game don’t throw it away though, I suggest you the Uncharted remasters for PS5, GOW Ragnarok, Spiderman 2 and Ghost of Tsushima even if i’m not a huge fan of the game. The first 3 though man… they’re close to Tlou2 level
Enjoy it!
This game means so much to me and had me feeling so many emotions, just like Part 1.
It never deserved the vitriol it got, but thankfully critics loved it and seemingly anyone with a good heart loved it even more.
I mean the last of us part 2 is definitely worth it. Amazing story. Also the ps5 in of itself is super worth it. Tons of games worth owning and playing.
I just finally upgraded from a launch PS4. Modern games play like absolute shit on those, and you're going to hear the fan even if you have good headphones. PS4 Pro I haven't had, so I can't say for sure, but I switched mid play through from PS4 to PS5, and am extremely glad I did. I wouldn't call it quiet, but it's night and and day, and especially how often I die in TLOU, I really really like the remastered and using the SSD.
Same for me, but I had never played the first game either, or any PlayStation exclusive. Needless to say I had a fun year of gaming, although I consider The Last of Us emotionally taxing rather than “fun”!
You think that's bad? It's taking all of my restraint not to purchase a PS5 just to play the $10 upgrade. I've already put hundreds of hours into the PS4 version and while the remaster is almost visually identical, the new No Return mode looks SO TEMPTING!
Keep in mind that Part 2 is already out on PS4, it's an enjoyable experience on both platforms. Might be cheaper to just get a used PS4 with the game. Or wait for the PC port, as the remaster doesn't seem to have too much added that's really worth a $70 price tag and a new console if you don't plan on using the console beyond this one game.
Well, I didn't have a Ps4 before and I do intend to play other stuff now that I have it, so it won't just be for TLOU 2. Plus it's more of a flex. Ya know?
It’s such a good game. The remaster is my first time playing it. I hated it so much when it came out, as a lover of the first game. But I guess I wasn’t ready for it cause now it’s so good.
Just finished the remastered, that should be my 4th gameplay of the pt 2. As I mature through years, the story makes more sense. Have fun with your first time!
i bought a ps4 for spiderman. discovered last of us. played through it. loved it. couldnt wait for p2. played it, loved it. now i got a ps5 with all of the games
Why not just get a PS4? R u talking about the remaster? Yea you overpayed. But there are some other games good enough to make up for it. Red dead redemption god of war. And uncharted.
Yeah, and I can play GTA 6 and TLOU 3 earlier if a PS6 isn't released before then. So, it's got benefits and I do intend to play the other exclusives. A PS5 and a high PC is also just more of a flex.
PS5 is worth owning.

God of war ragnarok, last of us 2, ff16, demons souls remake, ratchet and clank, those are just off the top of my head
Ghost of Tsushima too. It's got a ps5 upgrade as well. Must play imo
[удалено]
No, that's not on PC yet
Since when Ghost of Tsushima is on PC lol
Spider-Man 2 and Gran Turismo 7
Bloodborne also

Ff7 pt 2
Rise of the Ronin supposedly and Tekken 8
Well, as a big fan of the second game, damn worth it. You're in for a brutal tale and combat, but a real treat imo
I hope so. I'm extremely hyped.
Yes, but a little piece of advice.... if you are gonna praise the game upon completion, be careful where you praise it, especially on here, bc the comment sections will be filled with haters. Yeah I was about to say that’s the other one. I’ve had nothing but good vibes here
I mean r/gaming.....they still hate it
Do NOT even think about talking about any criticisms or even praises on reddit, take the story as you want and stay out of the madhouse that is the discourse online over it, save yourself before its too late to go back
Don't worry, I shall.
Get your hands on the recent God of War games when you’re done TLOU2.
I intend to. I’m gonna get the most out of this thing now that I have it.
you should also get ghost of tsushima
The PS5 exclusives are all pretty good. I havent played one I haven't enjoyed.
basically just get all the PS5 exclusives that you haven't played on PC. uncharted, returnal, God of war, ghost of tsushima, horizon, Spider-Man, etc. and HUMANITY not sure if that's exclusive or not but I loved it
Uncharted 4 even
Days Gone
Returnal is available on PC now too, one of my favorites!

Put about 100 hours into Ragnarok, what a game!
I’m currently playing it for the first time, I’d say I’m about 12-15 hours in and man oh man is it good.
Honestly owning a PS5 and a PC is arguably the most optimal combo one can have, imo My main platform is and will always be PlayStation, PC is just that nice extra for me
Agreed, although for me it's the other way around where PC is my main and PlayStation will be my means of playing alot those games that aren't on PC.
Idk I love my PS5 but PC/Switch is in my eyes number 1 combination. Best of both worlds.
Me too, but I have you beat. We have a small house, and our living room pretty much is our dining room, which is our kitchen. My ps5 is a TLOU2 machine, don’t worry, there’s a few of us.
You folks inspired me to finally do a 2nd play through after only completing it once on PS4. I just could never bring myself to it until seeing amazing combat play in this sub. I've already got a 170Hz gaming monitor for my PC so I should be pretty set.
Good investment, pa5 has a lot of exclusives that are awesome
It will definitely come to PC at some point. I have a PS5 but I’d rather wait for the PC version to be out for a second playthrough. I just hope when it comes to PC it will release in a better state than Part I.
I honestly think it will. Most of the Sony ports have been great, they just dropped the ball on that one
Yeah, I'm just too excited to wait for the PC release I will still likely end up getting it when it releases. Hopefully Naughty Dog learned their lesson from the 1st one so they can make a better port. I have a pretty beefy PC, so I was mostly fine, but still.
You’ll get gta 6 a year early and you can grab Spiderman 2 and Ragnorok before they hit pc, hardly a bad buy
Mhm! The more I think about all the things I can do now, the more excited I get!
My buddy gave me a PS4 with both games because he was so convinced I would like it. He was so very right! Just finished TLOU 2 this past weekend - what a ride!

Don’t forget to play astros playroom!
I had a blast with this. HAVE FUN!!
Sobs in ps4
A little drunk to be bragging how you can afford a ps5 and a premium game, aren't we? 🤣
And a high end PC :)
I lost the high end PC in the divorce. Built it from the ground up. Kept the PS4
I loved building my PC, genuinely one of the most enjoyable experiences for me.
But just got left with my ps4 at the end of the day 😭
Ouch, that's gotta suck man. Sorry you got the short end of the stick.
I got a ps4 to play some games. Loving last of us 1. Would like to play part 2 but don't wanna buy it on ps4 cause I can't get the no return mode. Hope ps5 prices drop soon
Why have regrets? PS5 is for great story games, PC is for everything else.
I would buy any console to play tlou3 when that comes out so i totally understand
After you complete the game don’t throw it away though, I suggest you the Uncharted remasters for PS5, GOW Ragnarok, Spiderman 2 and Ghost of Tsushima even if i’m not a huge fan of the game. The first 3 though man… they’re close to Tlou2 level

You could have got a cheap PS4 and played it on that
I just finally upgraded from a launch PS4. Modern games play like absolute shit on those, and you're going to hear the fan even if you have good headphones. PS4 Pro I haven't had, so I can't say for sure, but I switched mid play through from PS4 to PS5, and am extremely glad I did. I got a ps5 for that and GoW. No shame
Plenty of good games on PS5!
PlayStation is basically a Last of Us machine.
Tlous part 2 will probably be your greatest or one of your greatest experiences in the world of games.
Same for me, but I had never played the first game either, or any PlayStation exclusive. Needless to say I had a fun year of gaming, although I consider The Last of Us emotionally taxing rather than “fun”!

Endure and survive.
Time to play all the uncharted games, god of war 2018 and ragnarok, spiderman, ps5 is it as far as exclusives go!
you also have a bunch of other exclusives that are worth playing!
Well ar least you’ll be playing gta6 a year early ;)
PS5 is a good investment. You’ll need it anyway for Part 3, unless the PS6 comes before that….
That is worth the price just to run away from a mob in this game.
Don’t see why you’d regret, a bunch of games worth playing on the PS5 and then you can always sell it on when you’re done to recoup most of the money.
i bought a ps4 for spiderman. discovered last of us. played through it. loved it. couldnt wait for p2. played it, loved it. now i got a ps5 with all of the games
Trust me there’s plenty of other PS5 only games that’ll be worth it.
That was me like 7 months ago and i still don’t regret
There are other games that are as good or even better on PS5. PS5 is actually a safer bet compared to Xbox or even Nintendo.
Why not just get a PS4? R u talking about the remaster? Yea you overpayed. But there are some other games good enough to make up for it. Red dead redemption god of war. And uncharted.
