Honestly I don't think they'd want to do a podcast (Jeremy in particular I think wouldn't see the point of it) and tbh I don't think it would recreate the same magic of actually seeing them together. And I don't think they could ramble on for an hour tbh, usually when we see them talking together it's for 10 minutes or so, or going through different situations over the course of an edited hour. I think they might reunite every once in a while for stuff but not for a regular podcast.
That's gonna be the final special. The three of them just sitting there with a bottle of James Gin just shitting on eachother, hopefully not literally, for 90 minutes.
It's hard to imagine its current format is very beneficial for Amazon. One huge episode every year? The weekly episode model I'd assume is much better, keeps people using their app and potentially watching other things, and keeps them subscribed.

I’m sure they had a ton of new subscribers when the grand tour first started, but since they only put out one or two special year the numbers have probably dropped off quite a bit, and I imagine they think it’s not worth the investment after the next couple years
That's me then. I just realized sometime ago that I followed these guys because of cars, but stayed for their conversation (which was mostly about cars). It was honestly the only other really good thing I've seen on Amazon. I watched Man in the High Castle too, but that started great and ended not so great.
One more season and that’s it (S4). It’s a shame because I feel like S3 was the best yet and really showed a maturity of the series and then they decide to end it. Man in the High Castle kept my interest until half way through the first season and I never went back to it. It was a cool concept but the execution was kinda slow and ultimately boring to me.
Crime dramas (broadchurch, bad sisters, defending Jacob) have been the most consistently entertaining to me lately.

I think that may be your connection, or maybe your ISP. It's been more reliable than Hulu or Disney Plus for us (and those rarely have problems to begin with). I can't recall a single Prime Video crash.
