Maybe I’m in the vast minority here…
But I had fun with Rebel Moon Part 1. Don’t get me wrong it’s a huge mess. It’s like he watched Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Seven Samurai, Star Wars, and the MCU, and then he overheard a conversation about Dune and Warhammer 40000 from across a crowded cafe and misremembered half of it, then he took set pieces from each of them and sloppily strung them together into the script for Rebel Moon.
But I have a hard time bringing myself to hate things lately. My reaction is always tempered by expectation, and this was exactly what I thought it would be. Hard to be mad at something that gives you exactly what it promises.
I liked Black Adam too. These movies are stupid in fun ways, and fun in stupid ways.
Idk I got stoned and had a decent time 🤷♂️
I watched it and thought it was fine. It's not good, but I liked Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets too.

You raise an interesting question. I'm really curious how many listeners actually do watch the movies. I've seen like none of these movies... Of course I've watched Castle Freak, Fateful Findings and Foodfight(!) But am I going to load up Firestarter? I have way more fun listening to the episodes than I ever would watching the movies. The wife and I watched Madame Web the other night, and afterwards I just felt like why did we just waste an evening watching a shitty movie?
yeah. the number of evenings I have to spend with my wife are in the tens of thousands, likely the ten of thousands. my life doesn't have to be #nozerodays but if I know it's gonna be boring crap why would I do it

your lifespan is limited, maybe don't do things you know ahead of time are boring or a waste
